Ethan’s POV
I glared at Mia who stood at the door because she just interrupted an important moment for me. She rolled her eyes and stood by the door, folding her hands over her chest.
” I will be here darling. Just go talk to her” Monica’s soft voice echoed in my ears and I shifted my gaze from Mia to Monica who wore a small smile on her face.
Her smile took away the l anger I had felt previously and I kissed her gently on her cheeks before rising to my feet and standing in front of Maia
“What is it?” I asked, wearing a frown on my face.
“We can’t talk here. Let’s talk in my room” she muttered under her breath but I heard her.
I looked back to Monica who still had a small smile on her face “I’ll be back” I said then dashed out of the room.
Mia entered her room and followed suit, making sure to close the door behind me.
“Seriously you got her a ring? Are you trying to make me jealous Do you want to be with her huh? Even when we were together, you never got me a ring instead you told me to go get a ring myself and wear it” Mia yelled, obviously pissed by the way I treated Monica.
“Be calmMiaa. You’re shouting. She might hear you”
“I don’t care” Mia yelled, her veins threatening to pop out from her neck “I want her out of this house” Mia added.
“What!” I said, staring at her in disbelief.
“You heard me, e Ethan. She has to go. Let her go back to her husband and loving friends and family. I’m sick of how you treat me in this house just because she is here” Mia said, her voice shaky and I knew she was hurt “I want things to be the way they once were” she added.
I just looked at her in irritation. Did she think that I would send Monica away just like that? If there’s anyone who is supposed to leave this house, it’s her and not Monica.
“Ethan please for our love, let her go back to her family, _” Miaa said but I interrupted her instantly
“And what huh? Do you know how much it hurt me when I saw Monica was with Nichola? It hurt me so much that I wanted nothing more than for Nicholas to disappear forever” I said.
“So you love Monica right? Is that what you mean?” she asked, tears gathering in her eyes as she awaited my response
“Yes I love Monica but I love you too” I lied, trying to hold her hands in mine but she aggressively took her hands off mine, glaring at me.
“Liar. You’re a liar. I’ve always known that you still had feelings for your ex-wife but I never thought that those feelings would still be alive even after all we’ve been through” M IAA said, sobbing in her palms as she turned her back against me.
I needed Mia to believe I love her or else, she was going to do something to hurt Monica. Mia was very dangerous and I knew what she was capable of doing.
Monica was very gentle and couldn’t even hurt a fly but if Mia hurt her, Monica wouldn’t be able to defend herself and in that process, I could lose Monica.
“Mia I won’t say I love you if I don’t. Please stop crying” I said gently, but she ignored me completely.
“I’ve always known you still had feelings for Monica but I never thought you would still have feelings for her till now. You only come to me when you want to have sex and you never treat me like someone you love” Miaa and I could sense she was deeply hurt but I didn’t care.
All I needed to do was to make sure she didn’t try anything that could harm Monica. Mia was capable of doing anything to get rid of anyone or anything she saw as a competition.
“Come on Mia, you know that’s not true,” I said and she glared at me.
“How many times have you ever got me a present? But you bought lots of things for Monica and even got a ring while me that followed you got nothing buyout c**k inside me” Miaa yelled, staring daggers at me
Mia was right. I did get a lot of things for Monica, but didn’t get anything formula because I felt it wasn’t necessary.
“Mia you’re sounding like someone jealous,” I said.
“Ye, s I am. I’m jealous Ethan. Every day I have to watch someone share my man with me. You would always kiss her but back then it was just the two of us, you treated me like a piece of trash” Mia said and I knew that she was right, but I was tired of her complaints.
“I’m sorry,” I said then placed a kiss on her lips but she turned her face away “How about I give you my card and you get anything you want, huh?”
” I don’t want to get it myself. I want you to buy it for me. Just like you did for Monica, buy it for me and give it to me” Mia instructed and I smirked
All right”
“I’m still not comfortable with Monica staying in this house. Our plan was for you to have her completely to yourself while I have her kids as mine but you seem to be going out of our plan” Miaa said and I sighed in exhaustion
Nicholas is still a huge problem for me. He should have rot in jail in Germany if not for that his stupid friend of his who saved him and got him out of jail” I said, finally realizing that Nicholas was a huge threat for me to have Monica completely to myself.
“Then take him out completely. Think of something and get rid of him. I’m sick of seeing this sister every day of my life. Even if everything goes as planned and you leave with Monica, I will be hurt but the fact that I will have her kids as mine is enough for me” Mia said.
“But how do you intend to take her kids?” I asked curiously
“We can come up with something. We can lie to her that they were involved in an accident and something happened and they died. I’ll think of something when that time comes but for now, focus on getting rid of Nicholas permanently” Mia suggested and I nodded my head in agreement.
Nicholas was indeed my biggest threat right now and I needed to act fast so I could have Monica only to myself.
I care less about those bastards She calls kids and would even appreciate it if mia plan works and she takes Monica’s kids.
The kids always remind me of my inability to have kids of my own and the fact that they are Nicholas’s kids makes my blood boil whenever I look at them.
