“We are going to trail him.” She said and he nodded in agreement.
She followed Caspian’s lead so that Theo didn’t suspect a thing.
They followed him up to a crowded area in the town. It was a distance but not unreasonably far from where they stayed.
“What exactly is he doing here?” Camila asked.
“It’s not the hood so I don’t think he’s into some bad business.” Caspian said and they continued to trail him. They had missed him twice but were able to keep up after asking people around, giving them a detailed description.
Theo had not suspected that the two would trail him so he moved without being alert.
They watched him go into what looked like a local whore house and camila felt very disappointed. She felt embarrassed on his behalf. She didn’t think having his cock entertained was more important than her but then it just didn’t make sense. Her brother wasn’t a saint to this kind of places but she didn’t imagine he’d prioritize it over her.
“So this is it!” Caspian said trying not to sound offensive knowing how camila must have felt.
“Let’s just go.” She said and he could hear the sadness in her voice.
“Maybe he isn’t here for what you think. What if it’s just a disguise?” He said but she didn’t think so.
“Maybe he realized he didn’t want to see me. I told you he hates me.” She said and turned around to leave but caspian held her back.
“Wait.” He said shifting her attention back to the whore house. It was Theo and he was leaving.
“But he just came why is he leaving so soon?” She asked. They decided to keep trailing him and it turned out that he had gone to a supermarket getting some baby items.
This seemed random. Why would her brother be getting baby items to a whore house.
It seemed he had felt someone following him for the first time but they hid until he left again. They returned back to the whore house and Caspian decided to go in first.
He was welcomed in but when he had mentioned he had someone over and just needed a room for some hours they declined.
“You either pay for our whores or nothing. We don’t accept people bringing other women here. This isn’t a motel, it’s a whore house.” The lady at the table said. She had almost all colours of the rainbow designing her hair. She looked lousy, chewing bubble gum so loudly. Her fashion sense was tasteless. Caspian barely endured the sight.
“How about this.” He said bringing out wraps of money which he pushed to the table. Her eyes widened seeing such huge amount. Money was nothing to Caspian so he could as well help someone’s life with it.
He knew things would turn out this way so he went to the nearest ATM to withdraw some cash. Camila had kept watching, making sure that Theo didn’t leave while Caspian was away.
The lady by the table took the money, immediately her countenance changed from rude to cheerful.
“You don’t look like you belong here though. I can tell you’re stinking rich. is it some dirty business you’ve come here to do secretly?”
“How about you give me some information instead of a room?” Caspian said changing his mind. He added more money. She was a greedy fellow.
“Ask me anything.” She said excitedly.
Caspian went straight to the point and it was an easy reveal but he didn’t expect the information he got.
“What?” Camila almost screamed when Caspian had revealed the reason her brother had been going to the whore house. “Theo has a baby?” Apparently he had payed to keep some lady there who had been veiled when she first came there so no one had seen her face. Why was her brother hiding his lover? Without much words camila stormed into the place going straight to the room number that the lady had said they had been inside.
Both Caspian and the lady at the table went after her but couldn’t stop her. She pushed the door open only to find Theo, his supposed lover and a baby in her arms.
She was shocked and he was too.
“You must be kidding me.” She muttered. His supposed lover was the mistress of his former boss in the hood. She didn’t know exactly what happened but this was a case of betrayal and forbidden affair.
Life must be laughing hard on them. Not one person in their life could have a normal love affair. They were all involved in forbidden relationships but this right here was her brother biting more than he could.
“Camila….” Theo said looking very shocked. “I can explain….”
“Go ahead because I can’t fathom why you are trying to get yourself killed….”
Camila and Theo had spoken privately where he explained how everything happened.
It turned out that he had fallen for his bosses mistress then got her pregnant. When his boss realized that his mistress, clara, was being unfaithful. He sent Theo to kill her not knowing he was the supposed lover. He framed her death and he haden’t enough money to take her away, he was saving up and waiting for Camila so he could take them all out of the state.
“You’re crazy Theo, for even suggesting that.” Camila said when she heard him talk about escaping with them.”
“You’re better off staying away from Caspian. Come with us and we could be happy together.” She shook her head. If Mario finds out you betrayed and lied to him you’ll be dead.”
“He won’t find out. We could leave next week. I was only waiting for you but Clara just put to bed a week before the given time.
“So you’d go on the run with a new born baby?”
“I could arrange for safety. Just leave that monster you call a lover. You can’t be with him. Your affair is an abomination.” He said but she laughs at his hypocrisy.
“And yours isn’t?”
“You betrayed me Camila.” He accused.
“You betrayed your boss who never treated you wrong. You fucked his lover and a kid with her. Tell me whose relationship is more of an abomination?” Theo looked speechless. “So what if I fell in love with Caspian? I didn’t force myself to fall in love just like you had no control of your feelings for Clara. So do not make me seem like the worst person on earth because if I’m evil then you’re evil too.” She lashed out at her brother calling him out for the hypocrite he was being.
He couldn’t defend himself any further so he remained silent.
“So you’re really in love with him?”
“Yes.” She answered boldly.
“I guess you betraying me like this was my punishment for stealing Mario’s woman.”
“Theo, the man you hate so much is the one person that could protect you from Mario. Mario can’t do anything to you if you have the protection of the mafia.” She said.
“I don’t want to be indebted to caspian.”
“I know you don’t have the money to give Clara and your child a better life and seeing that that lady at the table could expose you both so easily because of money, you’re not safe here.” She said trying to convince him.
“Mario’s men came to our place last week. They had information that Clara was seen alive. Mario has threatened I bring her before him before the end of the week.”
“What?” Camila waa shocked. Mario was already suspecting him. He should have been on the run by now.
“But I’m going to escape.”
“Mario owns this entire place. How sure are you he doesn’t know of your secret and had just been letting you fool around?”
“You leave me no choice but to leave without you Camila.” Theo said discarding the point she was trying to make.
“And you’d go where?”
“Anywhere? I just need to leave.”
“Theo… Caspian can help you.”
“And have you in exchange?”
“He already had me with or without helping you. I’m in love with caspian and that’s never going to change even if you oppose us to the ends of the earth.” Theo feels defeated by her stance. She was really certain about him and even though it broke Theo’s heart he knew he was being a hypocrite criticizing her for it. He was no better.
After a while of waiting, Camila and Theo arrive, Theo looked humbled by whatever discussion he had with Camila. He walked up to Caspian and his lips parted slightly.
He looked at Camila who smiled reassuring him then he said, “I need your help….”
