“Cassandra….” Damian calls but she’s unable to say anything.
“Cassie, who’s there?” Knight asked seeing that she just stood there. He doesn’t get a response so he comes to stand behind her.
Damians’ expression is full of pain, like one who was heartbroken. Cassandra couldn’t say anything still, she just kept staring at him.
“He’s here… Really?” He sounded so disappointed.
Knight seemed offended by his tone but held back for Cassie’s sake.
“Why were you avoiding me Cassandra? Was it because of him? Cassie we are friends.”
“I was going to speak with you Damian.” She finally said.
“When? When you’re back home?”
“Damian not now?” She pleaded. She didn’t want to do this in front of Knight.
“Did you even realize how much I missed you. I practically slept here… Outside your door Cassandra!” He yelled.
“I’ll be outside my love. Let me now when you’re done. Speak with him.” Knight said. He figured he should give them some space to iron things out. He pulls her in for a kiss but she tried to avoid it for Damian’s sake. Knight wasn’t having it despite knowing why she acted that way. He pulled her face and dropped a kiss on her lips.
She looked at Damian feeling very guilty.
“You should let her be and focus on her study.” Damian said out of anger to Knight who was already leaving. Knight turns around to look at Damian.
“What did you just say?”
“Damian don’t do that.” Cassandra pleads but he pulls her hand down when she tries to hold him.
“Don’t fucking pull her hand like that.” Knight yelled coming back.
“Or what you fucking pedophile.” He cursed but instead of Knight getting angry he scoffed.
“Do you feel better now?”
“No… I have so much more to say to you bastard.” Knight raises a brow at him and cassie gets worried as she stands between them.
“You know what I’ll just let it slide. You shouldn’t bore her with whatever you have to say. Be swift about it.” He said and turned once more to leave.
“Don’t fucking tell me what to do or how to spend time with my friend. You psycho.” At this time Knight was losing his patience with Damian.
“Damian you need to stop being rude.” Cassandra said but he glared at her.
“Or what, he’ll hurt me cause I can see he’s clearly a dangerous man and he’s not right for you Cassandra!”
“And you are?” Knight said taking a step forward.
“Cassie deserves someone who will treat her gently.”
“Damian I said stop!” Cassie yelled this time. She knew he was getting on Knight’s nerves and didn’t want Knight hurting him if he crossed the line.
“He will steal your youth cassie. Come back to school, we could enjoy life together.” He said looking at her with eyes gleaming of hope.
“You don’t understand.” Cassie muttered.
“You’re throwing your friendship and final years memory because of him.” That was what he believed but home school was because of her safety but she couldn’t tell him that either.
“That’s not true.”
“It doesn’t make sense Cassandra.”
“It’s for my safety!” She blurted unable to hold it in.
“What are you talking about?” He asked looking confused.
“You won’t understand Damian.”
“Yeah, I know your family is fucking rich but you never told me your life was in danger.”
“Now you know Damian.”
“So what is it? I don’t get to see you?”
“We’ll talk like we always do. I’ll visit.” She said hoping it sounded fair to him.
“Why can’t I visit?” He asks knowing how Cassandra had kept him from visiting her at the mansion.
Knight sees that they were talking more calmly and decided to quietly leave not until Damian said something that caught his attention.
“Don’t tell me he controls you.” Knight stops, his anger rising.
“Stop assuming things Damian.” Cassandra said.
“So you’re just going to keep following a nineteen year old like she’s some toy you could use for your pleasure?” Knight couldn’t hold back anymore. Damian had crossed the line.
“Get away from her this instant.” He ordered.
“I’m not going anywhere.” Damian was adamant.
“Damian just go. I’ll call you.” Cassandra begged but he wouldn’t listen.
“Don’t make me repeat myself.” Knight said again.
“I said I’m not going anywhere.” He kept his stance but then what he did next was exactly what Knight needed to erupt. He moved towards cassandra, held her fimly and tried forcing a kiss on her. She resisted the moment she realized what he was trying to do. He was stronger but Knight was fast enough to get to him before he could have his way with Cassandra.
With the anger in his heart, Knight grabs him and throws him across the place like he were some piece if paper. He landed with a huge thud and painful groans followed.
Some people rushed out of their rooms when they heard the comotion.
“Knight don’t hit him, they’ll call the cops.” Cassandra said stopping his hand mid air from hitting Damian.
It was hard to let Damian just go like that but he decided to listen to cassandra not for the cops but because he knew it would affect her terribly if he hurt her friend.
Knight leaves the place and Cassie goes to Damian checking if he was okay. She turns towards the crowd when she sees someone taking a picture. She moves towards the girl and smashed her phone down the stairs.
“I’ll get you an even better phone or money which do you want?” She yelled at the girl who seemed startled.
“Money. I have another phone.” Giving more information than she was asked.
“I never asked you that.” Cassandra said and asked her to input her account details into her phone. She turned to the rest of the crowd.
“Can you all go back to your room now!” She yelled and they reluctantly went back in. She sighs, feeling helpless as she looks at Damian. She needed to get him checked but Damian wouldn’t accept her help but he did agree to a meeting with her.

Knight had agreed to her meeting Damian but he drove her to the venue and watched from a distance. After a while of speaking with Damian, Cassandra looks sad but not as sad as Damian. She grabs her bag and walks out of the place after Damian had left. Knight understood that she had told Damian the hard truth.
“Cassie…..” He calls once she comes close then he pulls her into his arms. “He’ll be fine.” He said this time knowing she was sad to see Damian hurt. He sees Damian watching them from where he stood, he had not left the place yet as he thought so he led Cassandra into the car.
They ride in complete silence.
Knight kept glancing at Cassandra from time to time. She leaned to the right, resting her head on the window, her mind elsewhere. Knight reaches for her hand and holds her. She intertwines their fingers letting him know that she needed his touch for comfort.
He stops the car along the road, somewhere not too busy nor lonely. The breeze was mild but it flipped her hair as they walked.
“Why did you stop here?” She asked.
“Just trust me.” He said taking her hand and leading her for a walk till they stopped at a point.
He hugs her from behind and she leans back to his chest.
“Damian said he was in love with me.”
She said and knight sighed hugging her even more.
“I told him you were the love of my life and that nothing could change it.” She said and even though he didn’t want to rejoice in Damian’s misery, his heart leaped at her words and he smiled curtly.
She turns around to look at him with so much love in her eyes.
“You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me knight.” She said as he caressed her cheek listening to her heart throbbing confession. “I love you forever.” Knight is in awe like she was confessing her feelings for the first time.
He pulls her back into his arms and hugs her again. “I love you forever cassandra.” He said and they sealed their confession of love with a passionate kiss.
