“Corey, what are you doing?”
Corey walked down the quiet corridor hurriedly while pulling on Ying Xiaoxiao’s hand.
Ying Xiaoxiao tried her best to break free of his grip. Her petite, beautiful face was full of anger.
“Corey, let go of me!”
Ying Xiaoxiao shouted at the tall figure in front of her.
Suddenly, Corey stopped in his tracks. Before Ying Xiaoxiao had the time to react, she felt her whole world spinning and her back smashed against the wall.
She frowned in pain and looked up to see Corey closing in on her. His hands were on both sides of her head and his pair of black eyes were exceptionally clear and bright.
He was so close to her that she could clearly smell the minty fragrance wafting from him. He was already good-looking, but when the spotlight above him shone down on his face, his facial features looked even more defined and handsome.
Her heart began to beat irregularly.
She blinked and took a deep breath to calm herself down. Then, she asked, “Corey, what do you mean by this?”
Corey’s sword-shaped brows twitched slightly. The corners of his lips curled up faintly as he said, “What do you think?”
“How… how am I supposed to know?” Ying Xiaoxiao glared at him unhappily.
“You were having a great time with my Second Brother just now.”
Corey suddenly changed the subject and Ying Xiaoxiao was startled. Then, she fired back firmly, “Weren’t you also having a great time with Ying Xiaoxiao?”
Hearing this, Corey could not hold back his laughter. “Young Miss Ying, Xiaoxiao is my younger sister. So what if I had a good time with her?”
“Younger sister?” Ying Xiaoxiao snorted, “Do you really think of her as your younger sister?”
“Then what do you think I think of her as?” Corey retaliated.
Ying Xiaoxiao went silent for a moment. Then, she said faintly, “You guys are not related by blood.”
Corey was a smart person. He immediately understood what she meant.
“Are you afraid that I will have a relationship with her beyond the bounds of siblinghood?”
Ying Xiaoxiao looked away and bit her lips. She remained silent.
Corey chuckled softly, “I will never like Xiaoxiao.”
It sounded like he was making a promise to her. She turned and looked at him with a slightly surprised gaze.
As if being afraid that she would not believe him, he repeated, “I will never like Xiaoxiao.”
Didn’t he dislike her? Then why was he saying these things to her?
Did he not know that she would misunderstand him?
The corridor was silent.
They looked at each other, and for a moment, no one spoke.
After a long while, Ying Xiaoxiao asked softly, “Corey, do you like me?”
Corey was stunned for a moment. Then, his lips parted and he said, “Yes.”
He answered so quickly that it seemed like he was pretending to not even think about it. She could not sense any sincerity.
Ying Xiaoxiao asked again, “Like how a guy and a girl would like each other?”
Corey pondered for a moment and asked her back, “What do you think?”
“I don’t know.” Ying Xiaoxiao’s answer was very frank. However, what she said next stunned Corey.
“But… I can test it out.”
“Test?” Corey frowned. Before he could think about what she had just said, there was suddenly a warm sensation on his lips.
She… was kissing him.
His dark gaze was filled with shock. He lowered his gaze and looked into her clear eyes in disbelief.
Although they had kissed before, they had done it under special circumstances and not out of true feelings.
