MEL POV
My blood was boiling, the fact that she sat down before I could even give her an answer, God I wanted to punch her beautiful face.
I glanced over to the bar where Leo was supposed to be getting our drinks but he was too busy talking with one of his work friends to even notice Nicole sitting close to me.
“Why are you even here Nicole?” I scoffed in annoyance wanting her to leave me alone.
“You and Leo are divorced, go fuck a guy or do something, you are free to do whatever thing you like”
“Leo’s dad invited me,” She said.
Is Leo’s dad out to get me or something, why the fuck would he invite Nicole of all people?
“And I just wanted to say sorry about what happened with Liam, nobody deserves that and I am truly sorry”
Her expression seemed genuine for once.
“Thank you, Nicole, how did you know about that?” I asked curiously.
“Oh, Leo told me, we were talking on the phone last night and he told me what happened between you and Liam.
I’m so glad that asshole is dead, so he can’t hurt any woman again” She said.
I felt fucking betrayed at this point.
Not only was Leo on the phone with her when I was asleep but he told her the the most disgusting thing that had ever happened to me.
He told her what I hadn’t even told Charlotte or my parents.
“Oh,” I whispered.
“I’m gonna go over to the bar,” I said.
My sadness quickly turned into anger.
“Have a nice night Melanie” Nicole said smiling and sipping her drink still sitting on the chair as I walked towards Leo and interrupted his conversation.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” I yell at Leo causing his friend to slowly turn away and Leo furrowed his eyes in confusion.
“What?” He laughed.
“You told Nicole about what happened to me?
How could you?
I trusted you with that and you went off and told your ex-wife about it?
I seriously hope you burn in fucking hell, you piece of shit. I clenched my teeth, taking a step back but he wrapped his hand around my wrist.
“Baby let’s talk about this” He pleaded and I yanked my hand away from his firm grip.
“Don’t you dare fucking touch me!” I yelled turning away and practically stomping up the stairs.
He’s a fucking traitor.
Maybe I shouldn’t be up here but I don’t give a fuck right now.
I stumbled into a room that looked like a guestroom and there was a glass door leading to a huge balcony, so I decided to think for a while.
It was dark outside and all I could see were trees that looked like they were miles away.
The man I love betrayed my trust not only that, he betrayed me.
I haven’t even told my parents or my best friend about it but Nicole already knows.
He called her in the middle of the fucking night when I was asleep.
What was so important that he had to call her?
” Melanie?” Leo called out and I turned noticing him walking towards me on the balcony.
“I came up here to be alone, I turned around staring at the night sky leaning my elbows on the edge.
“I don’t understand what just happened, why the fuck were you yelling?”
He argued, leaning his elbows on the balcony edge, he took out a cigarette from his pocket and lit it before taking a quick puff of it.
Leo only smoked when he was either annoyed or stressed, so I’m guessing this was one of those moments.
“You told Nicole about Liam assaulting me after I fucking opened up to you, I trusted you and I loved you.
She said you called her last night when I was sleeping in your fucking bed after I let you fuck me and you do this to me!” I practically screamed.
The expression on Leo’s face didn’t change, he didn’t look like he felt sorry for me whatsoever.
“And why the fuck would you believe a word she says, I didn’t tell Nicole about Liam.
So I don’t know how the fuck she knows about that and I especially didn’t call her last night.
I haven’t spoken to Nicole in days” He argues back bringing the cigarette to his lips and taking another puff out of it.
“Fine then, show me your call log,” I confidently and he reaches out to get his phone out of his pocket not hesitating once.
I scroll through his call log and see no calls from Nicole from last night which can only mean one thing.
“You must have deleted it,” I say and he laughs sarcastically.
“For God’s sake Melanie” He chuckles but with no humor in his tone
“I didn’t fucking call Nicole, I’m hurt that you don’t trust me”
“How can I fucking trust anyone anymore?!” I yell waving my hands around in the air.
“Everyone just fucking lies to me and treats me like shit, 24/7 my dad doesn’t even accept me!” I exclaim and I can feel my eyes tearing up.
“I’m not the right person for you Leo, you deserve better than this” I whisper and a tear falls from my cheek.
I try to walk away but his hand grabs my wrist and pulls me back.
“Melanie” He chuckles wiping the tear from my cheek.
“You are more than I deserve, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love you so fucking much.
Don’t you dare ever think that you are not good enough, you are the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with.
I want you to carry my children and I want to grow old with you.
He smiles and suddenly all the sadness washes away.
“Please don’t think like this baby, I fucking hate it when you are upset” He grabs my throat, not too harshly, and smashes his lips to mine.
Our tongue fight for dominance in the kiss and his hand moves down to my waist.
I pull away.
“I love you Leo ” I whispered.
“I’m sorry” I sighed looking down to the floor.
“You have to start trusting me, my love” He chuckles tilting my head back up with this finger.
“And you can show how sorry you are after once we get this party over with” He smirks and I giggle placing my hands on his chest.
“How did Nicole even find out about Liam?” I asked him.
“You want me to ask her?”
“Oh fuck no, I’ll have a couple more drinks and ask her myself”
That bitch tricks me.
