This temptation made Essex, the wizard clan, and the orc clan all fall into a state of contemplation. While tempted, they were also weighing the pros and cons.
Seeing this, Fred seized the opportunity to fan the flames, “Wizards, orcs, it’s precisely because Mr. Bloomer promised to deal with the Church that we vampires elected him as our leader.”
“I’m sure everyone is aware that over the past thousand years, the Church has brutally suppressed our dark clan time and time again. Our living space is getting smaller and smaller. If this continues, our dark clan might completely disappear from this world.”
“Mr. Bloomer’s arrival is a golden opportunity for our dark clan. We would regret missing it.”
Essex’s eyes flickered, showing a hesitant expression.
The orc clan was also engaged in heated discussions.
Eugene stood up, looked at Leo, and said politely, “Mr. Bloomer, I must admit, what you said is indeed tempting. But the Church is no pushover. How confident are you in defeating them?”
“I can’t guarantee 100%, but I can confidently say there’s at least a 70% chance. With the combined strength of the Dark Alliance, it’s more like 80-90%,” Leo said confidently.
After some thought and hearing Leo’s 80-90% confidence, Essex sneered, “Mr. Bloomer, you speak with such certainty but overlook one thing.”
“And what is that?”
“The strongest existence in the Church, the pope!” Mentioning the pope, Essex’s face showed fear and dread. “The pope possesses the Crown of Thorns and the True Cross. He not only has infinite holy power but also an immortal body. If you can’t defeat the pope, even if you kill everyone in the Church, our dark clan will still be wiped out by him.”
“For over a thousand years, the Dark Alliance has launched many counterattacks against the Church, all ending in disastrous defeat because of the pope.”
“To date, ten leaders of the Dark Alliance have died at the pope’s hands. Facing such an invincible pope, do you still have confidence in leading the dark clan to defeat the Church?”
Leo nodded firmly, “The reason I didn’t claim 100% confidence is precisely because of the pope’s existence. But let me make this clear, no matter how powerful he is, as long as he’s still human, I have a 70% chance of defeating him!”
The powerful pope was like a god in the hearts of the dark clan.
This Atrarian dared to claim he had a 70% chance of defeating the pope. Where did he get such confidence?
Essex struck again, “Mr. Bloomer, don’t let pride and confidence go to your head. Even if you can kill Cedric and destroy the Sea Eagle Organization, you stand no chance against a near-god like the pope!”
“Whether there’s a chance or not isn’t for you to decide,” Leo sneered. “If I say there’s a 70% chance, then there’s a 70% chance!”
Essex stood up from his seat, his withered face showing a hint of red as his green eyes stared sharply at Leo. “Since you have the confidence and courage to challenge and defeat the pope, then there’s no harm in letting you take the position of leader of the Dark Alliance.”
“But as you said earlier, in the dark world, strength is paramount. So we need to see your strength firsthand! Moreover, to become leader, you must undergo a traditional test!”
“Just say what you need me to do,” Leo said impatiently.
Essex replied coldly, “You need to defeat six representatives from the wizard and orc clans! And you must defeat them all at once!”
Hearing this, Prince Fred became anxious, “That’s too unfair!”
“Unfair?” Essex snorted. “If he can’t defeat six representatives at once, then he won’t stand a chance against the pope. How can he lead the dark clan to defeat the Church!?”
Eugene loudly agreed, “Yes, if he can’t defeat six representatives at once, our orc clan will never accept him!”
The vampires wanted to say more, but Leo waved them off.
Then Leo looked at Essex and said proudly, “I accept your conditions!”
“Very well!” Essex showed an appreciative expression. “Then let six powerful representatives test your strength.”
Essex finished speaking and drew a large arc with his hands while chanting an incantation.
A barrier almost as large as the hall appeared.
Leo took off his vampire robe and looked at Essex. “Let’s begin.”
Essex nodded. “Now, will the representatives from the wizard and orc clans please step forward to face Mr. Bloomer? Everyone else, move to a safe area.”
Zach, Jacques, Saiya, Eugene, Karim, and Dwayne stepped forward to face Leo while everyone else moved back to watch.
Leo’s gaze swept over the six individuals, his expression becoming serious.
These six were the strongest combined force of the wizard and orc clans. Even as a Cultivator, defeating all six at once would be no easy task.
But Leo loved challenges. With spiritual power surging within him, he looked at the six and shouted, “Bring it on!”
“Eugene, it’s up to us,” Zach the High Priest said seriously to Eugene.
“For the honor of the orcs, transform!” Eugene roared.
In an instant, three orcs howled at the sky as white light burst from their bodies.
The transformation was swift; their forms grew taller and their muscles expanded rapidly like fermentation.
Their thin clothes couldn’t withstand the explosive power and shattered instantly.
In a blink of an eye, Eugene, Karim, and Dwayne evolved into three terrifying orcs.
The wizards didn’t need to transform; they launched their attack first.
The three white-robed wizards waved their sleeves, sending three sharp black beams into the sky.
The sky instantly filled with dark clouds as blood-red lightning bolts formed like agile serpents and struck down towards Leo.
Before the orcs’ attack could reach him, Leo decided to break through the wizards’ assault first.
He formed a seal with one hand and cast a talisman with the other. The talisman flashed gold and transformed into countless fiery red feathers shooting into the sky.
Numerous blood-red lightning bolts clashed with the fiery feathers in mid-air, battling fiercely with thunderous roars and blinding flashes of light.
For a moment, it seemed like the universe was exploding with dazzling chaos everywhere.
The chaos lasted less than ten seconds before the outcome was clear.
