Chapter 39
POV: Prince Raven Pierce
The moment he stepped foot in the infirmary, he already felt like his heart had been torn apart. Then, fear started to creep into his whole being. He felt like half of him had been taken away and his worry heightened.
No.
His feeling must be getting out of him now.
Right.
Shahara was fine.
She must be fine.
He instantly stormed inside the infirmary to look for Shahara but to no avail.
As the seconds passed by without Shahara in his eyes, it just intensified his pure apprehension and the pain inside him and it just didn’t subside.
He frustratedly ran his fingers through his hair.
Instead of the stubborn red headed woman she was looking for, he stumbled upon the annoying doctor from the Lunar Pack instead.
His face was laced with too many emotions, and fear was one of it. He didn’t even notice that he was already walking towards him.
Dreyson was a bit surprised by his presence in their infirmary and that he remained speechless.
“Where is Shahara? How are her parents?” His voice was deep and cold causing the doctor’s forehead to crease.
He was no wonder the King’s brother the authority as well as the darkened aura that he possessed was radiating around him and that no one ever dared to go near them.
Gone was his kind and calm demeanor all that’s left was pure annoyance and intensifying madness.
The nurses and other salutary wolves were just staring at them like they were on such a good show.
Dreyson let out a deep frustrated sigh as he slightly bowed his head for courtesy. Then, he ran his fingers into his hair again he seemed so problematic and worried at the same time.
Well, he wouldn’t blame him, though. He must save the alpha and luna of their pack. The pressure was on him and his team of salutaries.
“Alpha Lorenzo and Luna Rania are still in critical condition, Prince Raven.” He politely stated.
He felt a bitter taste in his mouth as his mind turned into comparing them. He mentally shook his head. This wasn’t the time for any uncalled fight or competition.
And why the hell would he compare himself to him?
He was a prince and a Royal blood for Pete’s sake!
“And where is Shahara?” He coldly inquired ignoring the pressing questions and deliberations inside his mind.
His eyes reflected an abrupt panic and concern.
“Oh, shoot!” He loudly yelled and lowly let out a low curse.
“Shahara and even Tamara went into the woods and… I couldn’t go after them because I almost lost her parents. They are-”
He didn’t let his sentence finish and he instantly ran towards the woods. He didn’t care about what he wanted to say anymore.
His heart began to beat so wildly deep worry began to resurface in his entire system… once again.
He ran in a meteoric speed as he sniffed Shahara’s scent in the midst of the woods. He didn’t even need to turn into his wolf form the moment he saw the two red head woman being chased by the rogues.
He finally saw them.
He didn’t know whether he could breathe now, or he would still be worried and in vain, knowing that he could say that rogues were being countless as they ran at that particular side of the forest.
His canines started to bare, but before he could even take another step, almost ten rogues suddenly appeared in front of him that made him to take an abrupt stop and then, they simply surrounded him. They were all salivating and were ready to attack well, specifically attacked him.
Prince Raven let out a low growl and his body started to convulse with the raging fury that he felt. His nails elongated and his pitch-black eyes turned darker shade and the veins of his eyes turned bloody red the rogues roared like they were being intimidated yet they still tried to attack him, all at once.
The prince didn’t even flinch and slash the poor wolves using his bare hands, and they whimpered in pain. One was split into two and was thrown mercilessly to the ground causing a loud thud each and every one who tried to attack him and blocked his way.
Dark blood suddenly crept into the soil, so as to take the last breath of the unfortunate rogues.
Prince Raven smelled the fresh blood making his nerves snap a little, but his strong determination to go after Shahara was to the moon that he didn’t wait for the other rogues to attack him.
In a matter of a minute, all that could hear was a loud thud, and all that could smell in the air was the smell of their blood.
Deep shade of red painted the entire place with Prince Raven covered with the enemies’ blood.
He gritted his jaw as he was disappointed for wasting his time on these rogues but when he was about to take another step towards where Shahara and Tamara were, a lot of more rogues blocked his way, and he was certainly frustrated.
Prince Raven knew that these rogues weren’t his match, but they could delay his time towards where the Lunar Pack heiress was.
Then, he felt a darkened aura that terrified the rogues making them whimper in fear.
He looked back and found his brother standing with his well-known devilish stoic expression on his face.

POV: King Hades Pierce
A few moments before…
His heightened senses made him feel like something was happening into the woods, so before he could even enter the infirmary, he chose to walk towards the depths of the forest like something had been pulling him in there.
The moment he took a step in, he could already smell a bloodbath and his brother’s faint blood.
His forehead instantly creased.
King Hades gritted his teeth as he ran towards where his brother’s scent was. He tried to locate Tamara’s scent, but it was too faint to sniff into the air because of the smell of blood fluctuating with it.
It was bothering him the very reason why he immediately ran at full speed.
His expression automatically darkened as he saw his brother covered with blood, and a lot of rogues were surrounding him. While a lot were already on the ground watering the soil as well as the wild grass. His half human and half Lycan form had resurfaced, and he already had a tiny hint of the reason why.
King Hades gritted his teeth as pure annoyance instantly filled him.
Even it was too faint to smell Shahara and Tamara’s scent still lingered in the air. They were probably just nearby, or they might have stayed in that particular spot a few minutes before he came.
His eyes moved towards where his brother was standing.
He rarely used this form, and so was he. For it could instill in their wolf form and could eat their entire being especially the left humanity inside them.
But his brother dared to use it now. It must be something really important.
~ Danger ~
His pitch-black eyes slightly twitched, and it instantly sharpened as Raven used their mind link to send him that message.
~ Danger ~
He repeatedly told him.
Raven gritted his teeth and slowly nodded somewhere near the cliff.
His eyes slightly widened, and he turned his head towards where he was trying to point it out.
He must be…
His heart wildly beat inside his chest.
A sudden fear engulfed him entirely.
Without wasting another minute, he rapidly ran towards where Shahara and Tamara might be. But the rogues were just too many. They seemed like an army that never faltered and was still blocking his way, even though he could already sense fear in them.
Something was wrong.
But he had no time to think about it now.
He needed to go to the cliff… and fast.
But he stopped when a growling huge dark brown wolf suddenly blocked his way.
He was given the chance to take a glance at the cliff a few more meters away.
The two read heads were surrounded by rogues. But before he could even move his eyes widened as an arrow hit Shahara and she fell into the cliff!
His heart was beating too fast like it had never been beat that way before. He was like being glued to where he was.
The dark brown rogue in front of him took the chance to attack him, but he was faster, and he just simply dodged him. The rogue growled in frustration and his heart suddenly stopped the moment he saw Tamara fall into the cliff, too!
King Hades was shocked for a second and then, growled so loudly that it shook the entire forest of the Western Side. Birds were shaken and flew away from their homes afraid that they might meet their tragic demise at the hands of the raging king.
The dark brown rogue who was too bold to block his way was now whining in fear.
King Hades’ canines bared, and his eyes turned bloody red. His aura intensified and darkened that everyone around him could even feel it.
The rogue swallowed hard and bowed his head, but the king was too ruthless now to even care.
In just a blink of an eye the huge rogue fell into the muddy ground… with his cut tongue out and slightly breathing.
King Hades let out a devilish smile as his eyes moved to the poor rogue which was on the edge of life and death.
The rogues silently whimpered in fear because no one dared to make any sound.
King Hades stared at the lifeless rogue and tore him apart without any inhibition.
It was an obnoxious sight to see.
The rogues took a step backwards, but before they could even run away from him, the deadly king started to take their lives, one by one… in the slowest and most painful way possible…

POV: Arlan
Meanwhile…
Arlan ran after the king, but he was just too fast. But he knew where he was going. He was slightly panting as he reached the infirmary where the alpha and lune of the Lunar Pack was.
His eyes roamed around the place, but he couldn’t see nor feel the king’s aura.
Then, he felt a sudden shudder down to his spine.
It was so intense that it made him stop like a statue. He held his breath as he felt the intensifying wrath of the… king himself.
His legs trembled in fear as his eyes moved towards the woods.
Something was happening in the woods and this was just too worst.
He was just hoping that the king would hold himself and wouldn’t be engulfed by his own animalistic side. Because if that happened, chaos would befall the entire territory that he had.
Even in his fears, he instantly ran towards the forest as he was silently hoping that it wasn’t what he thought it to be.

POV: Someone
At the same time in a small barn under that gigantic tree.
A woman with jet-black long hair was kneeling into the ground, in front of the lit white candles.
Her eyes were closed as her purple-tinted lips started to say words that couldn’t be deciphered. Her hands were intertwined as it clenched towards each other causing her knuckles to turn pale white.
Her entire body started to tremble as her hair started to turn golden dust and white as her voice started to shake a little.
She gasped for air as she opened her deep purple eyes and her hair turned to its original jet-black color. She felt weak as she tried to sit up straight.
“No. It is already happening. The first new moon started. Darkness will slowly consume them if this does not stop.” Her voice was soft but sharp at the same time.
She let out a deep breathy sigh still unsure of what to do.
But she stood with pure resolve and clenched her hands into balled fists. She took one last glance at the unlit candles on her makeshift altar and finally got her black hood.
She knew what she needed to do.
Surely, her conscience wouldn’t let her watch them when she knew that she could do something.
Besides, this was her destiny.
She bowed to the moon for her life.
And she needed to fulfill it even if it would surely cost her life.
