Chapter 14
POV: Tamara Davis /Tyra Amaris
They were now on the vast field of the Lunar Pack near the mansion for her everyday training with Shahara.
It wasn’t her typical day for Tamara seemed so distracted during their training. She couldn’t still move on from her one-on-one serious girly talk with Shahara last night. She couldn’t find her focus now because her mind was still engulfed by the menacing man with the golden crest. Her cognizance was floating with various reasons and contradictions. Her thoughts were in total chaos right now.
~ Stop your senseless thoughts, Tamara. You are in love. ~
~ No. Of course not. She couldn’t be falling in love with the King. ~
~ Yeah, yeah. No freaking way! ~
~ See? You immediately conclude that it was ‘the King’ you’re in love with. ~
~ Was there anymore person that was making me so confused right now? ~
~ Whatever. You just didn’t want to accept it. ~
~ He was ruthless and cruel well, that was according to Shahara. ~
~ But he had helped her back to her human form when she was at her first wolf state. ~
~ And what? He just left her there. ~
~ But what did she want? That the King would carry her in a bridal style? ~
She brushed her curly crimson red hair with her fingers to stop her raging thoughts. Her mind was obscured with ambiguities but ended up dreaming about her being carried by the King.
His strong flexing biceps with his iron fist hands were softly carrying her. Their faces were inches apart and his minty breath tickled her. His intense gaze was giving her a fluttering stomach.
Tamara’s cheeks burned as her heartbeat quickened and her toes curled involuntarily with the sudden emotions raised inside her.
She absentmindedly shook her head.
What the heck was happening to her?
“You seemed distracted.” Shahara curiously commented as they were taking a short break making Tamara reddened more.
As if she was caught with something that she shouldn’t be.
Shahara raised her brow and looked intently at her while slowly munching her bacon chips.
Tamara cleared her throat and smiled awkwardly at her.
She should keep her thought to herself… for now. She was still on the edge of confusion, and she didn’t want Shahara to worry about her.
Because for goodness’ sake, it was the King, she was thinking about?!
“Well, I was just tired, and it was just too hot today.” Tamara answered promptly, pertaining to the sultry weather.
“Maybe, we can move our hunt training next time, then. You can just take a good rest today.” Shahara concerningly suggested.
Right.
They would be doing a hunt training in the woods today. So, she needed to collect herself and focus on her training.
Tamara let out a deep sigh as she looked at Shahara who was now drinking her cold water while her legs crossed. She was still having this concerned look on her face.
“Nope. I will do the training now. I just needed a short break.” She immediately told her, and Shahara just shrugged and nodded her head.
She should concentrate. Besides, she would be bombarded with more questions inside her head if she would just stay in her room. She needed to be preoccupied with something.
“Alright.” Shahara answered with defeat while she shrugged her shoulders and continued eating her snack.
Tamara let out a deep sigh and drink her cold water to refresh her mind and concentrate on her training instead of thinking about the King.

After some short preparation time, they were now in the woods near the Lunar Mansion which was the forest on the Western Side.
“Now, we will go hunting. Don’t worry, the forest was surrounded by our pack’s sentinel wolves. Just remember not to cross the border, Tamara.” Shahara seriously reminded her, and she instantly nodded.
It was the first time that they would be doing this hunt training. She was ecstatic yet a little bit worried. She only knew how to shift to her wolf form and shifted back to her human form, but not flawlessly. She needed time to do the shifting process.
She heaved a deep sigh.
Well, she needed to do this and she believed she could.
Shahara shifted first.
Tamara was excited because she could be able to see her wolf form now it was the first time.
Every time they trained; she was the one who just explained to her of the things she needed to do. She was the only one shifting, and she guided her.
Tamara saw her ankles broke and her back hunched in an instant, an auburn furred wolf appeared in front of her and let out a loud roar.
Tamara was agape. It was the same wolf who had helped her in the forest, when the time, she and Benson were attacked by rogues!
Her eyes moistened and gave Shahara who was in her wolf form a sweet and grateful smile.
Tamara went to her and hugged her tight making Shahara leer at her a bit because of her abrupt actions.
“I was just glad! You were the one who saved me from the rogues! I was so thankful. I thought something had happened to you. I’m really happy that you’re okay. And now…” Tamara couldn’t contain herself anymore.
Her tears flowed freely on her cheeks while a blissful smile painted on her face. She was sincerely thankful.
Shahara in her animalistic form went near her and soothed her while Tamara held her head and caressed its fur up and down using her hand.
“Thank you so much, Shahara.” She appreciatively whispered and hugged her this time in a gentler way.
Shahara let out a soft growl, making Tamara break their embrace and let out a low short chuckle. She wiped her tears and heaved a sigh. Her smile never wavered from her lips.
After a short while, Tamara composed herself as she readied for their hunt training. Shahara would just be there and guide her through the way.
She deeply inhaled and relaxed herself, just like what Shahara had taught her. She let her humanity link to her inner wolf who was so excited to take over her.
In just a few seconds, her bones started to break, and her black snout revealed while her back bent and her crimson red fur covered her entire body.
Tamara in her wolf form was breathing loudly with her pink tongue out.
Shahara was a little bit worried about that and asked the sentinel wolves to closely guard every single part of the border and signaled to her if they had seen Tamara getting nearer to them. Her wolf was far stronger and faster than the average wolf.
She let out a low howl and looped around in place, then she took an abrupt stop.
With her enhanced senses, Tamara raised her snout and brusquely smelled an addicting yet lovely scent nearby, making her wolf become restless.
Without warning, she immediately ran fast as her heartbeat faster in so much excitement. She wanted to sniff more she wanted so much more that her entire system was burning inside her.
Tamara was now being uncontrolled, while Shahara was getting worried as she tried to catch up with her fast movements.
She was so quick like she wasn’t even bothered by the huge trunks on her way. She jumped high and down faultlessly as her paws printed in the muddy soil the only thing that proved her tracks.
After a couple of minutes, they were miles away from the mansion. Shahara was so tired trying to keep her pace on her her tongue went out of her mouth with her slobber drops in the air. She was one of the quickest and had extreme endurance in hunting. But now, it had all been tested and she was just too exhausted.
She growled loudly, asking Tamara to stop, but she didn’t listen. Tamara couldn’t control her wolf anymore all that was on her mind was to catch where the scent was coming from. She was deaf to all her callings.
In a brief moment, Shahara didn’t notice a small hole that trapped her paw inside making her a quick halt and crumbling on the muddy ground.
She loudly growled, asking Tamara to stopped but to no avail.
Tamara didn’t stop nor looked behind her. The overpowering wolf went whooshing through the thick branches of trees ignoring everything, even Shahara.
And now, it was just her through the depths of the woods alone.

POV: Leah Darkwood
Meanwhile, on the Eastern Side of the forest, Leah Darkwood was hunting to take a break from her all of her duties.
Being the first born wasn’t an easy job to do especially being a woman and being on the Dark Wood Pack. All the pressure was on her making her do everything regardless of whether she needed to use or dispose of other people just to achieve her goals.
It was not being selfish it was just getting what was supposed to be yours.
That was what her mother Lamina always told her.
So, she grew up holding on to that statement.
She was now in the woods near the border when her tail and ears went upwards. She was more thrilled and alert, for a faint heartbeat was all she heard together with the fresh smell of meat and metallic blood that filled her black snout.
She let out a lurid howl because of too much anticipation.
It only meant one thing she would be having her first snack of the day.
Her wolf trembled in so much excitement as she started to run with her quickest pace tracking the smell as fast as she could, or else someone might steal her food and she would be in a rage for sure.
The sweet drooling scent was coming near the border Leah doubted whether to continue or not. She didn’t want to target anyone on the western border right now.
Not now that her mother told them to lie low for a bit because of what happened to Aeron during the court trial. But her wolf overtook was too stubborn to care. It continued its tracks towards the lavishing scent.
She quietly stopped at approximately a few meters away as she observed a crimson red furred wolf whose left back paw was trapped in a vine and her right front leg was punctured with a sharp and pointed branch a flowing blood wasn’t that visible, for it mixed with the color of her fur.
She could smell the metallic blood, making Leah in her wolf form let out a low growl of pleasure.
Leah was ready to attack.
She was about to do it to the poor wolf when an enormous black wolf appeared in front of her.
The huge wolf was larger than her thrice and its pitch-black eyes warned her to just move away. Its bared and long canines were leering at her making her whimper now in fear.
Her heartbeat increased in so much distress and she trembled.
It growled loudly, making all the birds around them flew away leaving their nests behind.
She glanced at the crimson red furred wolf who was innocently trying to untangle her paws from the vines ignoring whatever was happening around her.
Then, her gaze moved back to the massive wolf, which was still leering in front of her with its sharp and poisonous canines.
His shiny black fur was glistening, but in a darker way for it imposed extreme intimidation and anxiety on her.
It snarled dangerously once again as if it was losing it patience now, so she must move back.
Leah knew that was the last chance she had to step away and leave. She gnarled with defeat, then turned around and just hurriedly ran away holding back that curiosity and jealousy engraved in her mind and heart.
For she knew who that huge black wolf was.
She surely knew who it was.
Her dream. Her love. Her king.
Yes.
It was King Hades Pierce the Alpha King of All Wolf Borne.
What was he doing on the Western side?
And who was that crimson red wolf?
Is he trying to save it?
She must know for she didn’t want to have anyone on her way.
She would be the next ‘Regina,’ and nothing or no one could steal that title away from her.
Even if it meant killing whoever that crimson red furred wolf was.
