Joseph took a couple of steps forward, licked his lips with his sharp tongue, and sneered, “Your blood must taste pretty good.”
Seeing Joseph’s expression and actions, the bishop and the priests couldn’t help but shiver.
“I’ll let you make the first move. Otherwise, once I start, you won’t have a chance,” Duke Joseph said arrogantly.
To Joseph, these people were nothing more than small fry.
The bishop, naturally not daring to be polite with a vampire duke, shouted loudly, “Attack, purify with holy light!”
The bishop and the priests raised their crosses together.
The holy light emitted from the crosses connected, then grew intensely bright, pressing towards Duke Joseph.
Joseph’s face remained disdainful; he didn’t make any defensive moves or counterattacks.
The holy light pressed down on Duke Joseph without any resistance.
However, only a small wisp of smoke rose from Joseph’s body, causing him no harm at all.
Soon, the combined holy light from the bishop and the priests faded away.
Joseph casually patted his shoulder, looking relaxed, “You’re too weak. Now it’s my turn.”
With that, Joseph extended his left hand in a hugging gesture.
Black energy spread from Joseph’s body like a rapidly spreading poisonous mist, sweeping towards the bishop and the others.
Wherever the black energy passed, trees withered and grass turned black, extremely malevolent.
At the brink of life and death, the bishop could only fight desperately. He shouted, “Ultimate skill, Holy Judgment!”
The crosses in the hands of the bishop and the priests shot out beams of holy light into the night sky.
The holy light converged into a massive sword of light in mid-air.
The sword of light swooped down, attempting to cut through the black energy sweeping towards them.
The sword of light and the black energy clashed instantly. After a moment of stalemate, both shattered.
The shattering created a gust of wind, stirring up fallen leaves on the ground.
Once everything settled down, the bishop and his priests stood motionless where they were.
Their previously pale faces had turned completely black, and their eyes had lost all signs of life.
Joseph cursed angrily, “Damn it! They ruined my clothes!”
Duke Gizack chuckled, “Joseph, maybe next time you’ll think twice before showing off.”
Joseph glared fiercely at Duke Gizack upon hearing this.
Fred shifted his gaze from the bishop and the priests back to Joseph, a hint of seriousness in his eyes. He said, “These priests are not ordinary; they must be directly under Ecclesia.”
Fred looked up towards Leo’s location and asked, “Master, are you planning to wait for their reinforcements?”
Leo jumped down from a tree and nodded, “Of course. How strong is this Archbishop Douglas that the bishop mentioned?”
Prince Fred thought for a moment before replying, “Ecclesia has twelve cardinals. The top three are cardinal archbishops with immense power.”
“As far as I know, Douglas is ranked second among the cardinal archbishops. His strength is not inferior to mine.”
“Oh? Even with Cain’s left hand, you can’t beat him?”
“Each of the twelve cardinals possesses a holy relic bestowed by the Pope. Douglas’s relic is one of Pope Eleventh’s treasures-a holy sword with incredible power that my corpse hand cannot suppress,” Prince Fred said with a helpless shake of his head.
Leo loved challenging strong opponents and couldn’t help but feel intrigued. “It seems I must meet this Douglas.”
Duke Gizack walked over and interrupted, “Master, someone is coming this way. There are quite a few of them, and their presence is strong.”
Leo smiled and said, “Prepare to welcome our guests.”
A minute later, a loud voice echoed from all directions.
“Despicable vampires! You should not exist in this world. The Lord has commanded me to cleanse you from it.”
As the voice fell silent, over ten beams of holy white light descended from the sky. With a thunderous explosion, more than ten priests appeared before Leo and his group.
Leading these priests was an elderly man in a red robe with a white beard and a solemn expression-Archbishop Douglas.
Behind Douglas were twelve elite bishops dressed in white robes, all appearing to be around thirty years old.
Seeing their fallen comrades on the ground, Douglas and his men drew crosses on their chests with sorrowful expressions.
Fred sneered, “Don’t bother praying for them because you’ll be joining them in hell soon enough.”
Douglas raised his head and looked sharply at Fred. “After tonight, you will no longer exist in this world.”
“Oh really? Do you know who I am?” Fred asked arrogantly.
Douglas’s eyes narrowed. “Despicable vampire! State your name.”
“Listen carefully. I am Fred, leader of The Covenant and current prince of House Brujah!”
Douglas’s expression changed slightly with surprise.
“I am Duke Gizack!” Gizack announced his name as well.
“And I am Duke Joseph!”
After his initial shock, Douglas sneered coldly. “A prince reputed to be the strongest among vampires and two vampire dukes. I must say, my luck is quite good today. Erasing you from this world will surely please the Lord.”
“Douglas, stop boasting. Do you really think you can defeat us?” Prince Fred asked coldly.
Douglas’s face turned grim. “I will personally send you to hell.”
Joseph and Duke Gizack looked at the twelve white-robed bishops and sneered. “Let’s drain these little guys’ blood.”
Leo simply crossed his arms and watched everything quietly.
Douglas glanced back at his bishops and solemnly said, “Loyal servants of the Lord, tonight we work hard for Him to cleanse this beautiful world of all filth.”
“Amen!” The twelve white-robed bishops responded in unison, holding their crosses with no fear on their faces-only devotion.
Joseph hated their pretentiousness and roared angrily as he launched a fierce attack.
A vast wave of blood light mixed with destructive death energy swept towards the twelve white-robed bishops.
The twelve bishops raised their crosses together. Twelve silver crosses emitted a sky full of pure white holy light to meet the blood light.
The seemingly fierce blood light was shattered by the holy light in one blow.
In the loud explosion, the remaining holy light formed a pillar that blasted towards Duke Joseph.
Joseph was taken aback by this unexpected turn of events.
The combined power of these twelve bishops was more than twice as strong as that of the previous priests!
Seeing things take a turn for the worse, Duke Gizack let out a sinister howl. He clasped his hands together and unleashed a large burst of black flames.
