Alpha Nelson’s eyes locked with the lady’s eyes, and just then he gasped inaudibly, and they were both looking at themselves like morons, not saying a damn word.
The clicking step ascending the stairs pulled them out of their locked gaze, and Alpha Nelson flipped his head to see who was ascending the stairs, only to see his mom and dad.
“You are here, son; that is good. I am very happy that guys have met each other again.” Alpha Nelson’s mother said, looking at both the lady and her son.
“How are you doing, son? I am very glad that you honored my invitation; nice to have you here.” Alpha Nelson’s father said, taking his seat.
His mom sat down too, and Alpha Nelson was just gazing at all of them.
“Good evening, mom. Good evening, dad.” The lady greeted Alpha Nelson’s parents before diverting her eyes and pretending to be engrossed in the movie she was watching.
She was really acting so funny and also weird. Though Alpha Nelson was concerned about the familiarity.
“Have a seat, son? With the way you are looking at her, I can see you can recall who she is. I can see the interest in those eyes of yours for her” His mom teased seriously.
Who she is ? Wow…no wonder she looks familiar…
“What are you saying, mom? Please don’t start, please.” Alpha Nelson said and took a seat.
“Dad I am here because you called for a meeting with you.” Alpha Nelson said irritatedly, His mom was just good at annoying him.
“Yes, of course I called a meeting, and you can see it has started already.” His father said, clearing his throat.
“She has no business with the meeting we are having, so who is she and why is she here?” Alpha Nelson asked, gazing at the young, beautiful lady he had seen earlier.
“Are you so dumb that you can’t recall who she is? Or getting married to that so-called wife of yours has eaten up your brains?” Alpha Nelson’s mother snapped at him.
“I am really lost here, please. Please, my wife should be mentioned with some respect; she deserves it, mom.” Alpha Nelson defended.
“You don’t have to tell me what I am supposed to call a girl of that class, son; were you bewitched?” His mother asked him with a very surprised tone.
He knew where the conversation was leading; he knew how his mother could be, so he decided not to say any more words; rather, he directed the question to his father.
“Dad, can I know the reason why I am here, please? I really don’t have a lot of time to myself.” Alpha Nelson scoffed.
“The reason you are here is because of marriage, nothing else.” Alpha Nelson’s father said, and this made Nelson look at his father in awe.
His eyes darted to his mother, who was gladly smiling and nodding her head in agreement with what his father had insinuated.
“Marriage? What marriage?” Alpha Nelson said again, even if he could understand their tricks.
“Yes, I will come to that, but firstly, I will let your soon-to-be wife, the real daughter-in-law of the Divine’s family, introduce herself to you, son.” Alpha Nelson’s father said, and just then the lady started talking.
“Nice to meet Alpha Nelson again; it is really a very beautiful moment. I know you might not recall who I am, though, because it had been years. I couldn’t even recognize you.” The lady was still talking when Alpha Nelson sneered.
“Bullshit! Just bullshit! What am I supposed to do with all this you are saying, woman?” He sat next to the lady who was shocked at his outburst, and just then he faced his parents.
Theeyes darkened
“Dad mom, what is going on here? I heard you say the real daughter-in-law of the Divine’s family… who is to be getting married to her?” Alpha Nelson was yelling.
All of this was something he couldn’t let himself be in; he really can’t stay with the so-called parents of his.
“What do you think is happening here, son?” Alpha Nelson’s mom asked him.
“I really don’t know what is happening here, and that is the main reason I am asking.” Alpha Nelson scoffed.
“Then you have to calm down and let her introduce herself before the meeting can proceed; only then would you understand what is going on.” Alpha Nelson’s father voiced out; his aura was as thick as that of his son.
“I can’t go ahead with this meeting if I won’t get a very clear purpose of this meeting; I am so sorry.” Alpha Nelson said he was trying not to show his real emotions, but even then his parents could observe.
“Patience! Be patient and let us explain everything accordingly.” Alpha Nelson’s mom tried to explain.
“Okay, fine, I will let her say all the bullshit she has to say; I will be patient until the meeting is over, but one thing I wouldn’t do is to get married to any so damn person not of my will.” Alpha said so soundly and clearly.
The lady who was at the other side of the couch gulped down quietly as she tried to assimilate what Alpha Nelson had said.
“That can’t happen, son; that can’t be; you are getting married to her, and that is final.” Alpha Nelson’s mother growled.
“In case you still have no idea of who she is, she is the only daughter of Alpha Mathew Brownson, the richest Alpha in Scotland.” Alpha Nelson’s mom said.
“And how is that supposed to be my very concern? I have no problem with that, nor did I ask.” Alpha Nelson said.
He was really stunned when his mother had mentioned her father’s name; he was really, the young lady was no other than Sophia; this was the freaking girl he was so close with as a very little boy, back then when they lived in Scotland.
It came to an extent when people started…
“Nice to meet you, Alpha Nelson, my pleasure.” Sophia said, and just then Alpha Nelson pulled out of his thoughts.
He saw her hands stretched out for him to take; he arched eyebrows to her face, then to his father and mom.
This was really the one he had loved, cherished, and wished to get married to when he was old enough.
But almost twenty years now; he was just five years old then. But he was really not shocked that he really didn’t recognize her. It’s been long since they last saw each other.
“Nice to meet you again too.” Alpha Nelson murmured, not still talking her hand for the offer.
The lady with fury in her face walked back to her seat and sat back.
“Don’t act so stupid, son; you are a man for crying out loud.” His mother said her voice was laced with frustration.
“He has really changed.” Sophia commented that the rage in her voice was palpable.
She was expecting praises, happiness, hugs, kisses, and a lot of cherishable moments from Alpha Nelson on their first meeting.
But she did even get an ordinary handshake from him, and that was really so annoying.
She had really not recognized Alpha Nelson at first; he had really changed after all these years and was now really very rude.
He had cut her statement off. She said something like never going to get married to any so damn person; that is not my will.
All this was really killing Sophia deep down inside her heart, but she tried to maintain her composure, thinking maybe with time he will definitely come around.
“We would be leaving the both of you to discuss as adults.” Alpha Nelson’s father said, standing up to leave.
“Make sure you don’t yell at her; treat her nicely; she is your future wife. I hope you both get along.” Alpha Nelson’s mom said and also stood up to take her leave.
They both ascended, and when the clicking of their feet died off, Sophia stood up from where she sat and walked down to the clutch closer to where Alpha Nelson was sitting.
“I guess you know me now, so we can talk things out now.” Sophia said to Alpha Nelson, who was giving her no listening ears.
“Yes, I do know you now. Sorry that I had not recognized you earlier, and pardon my harsh manner.” Aloha Nelson apologized, and this time around it was genuine.
“I know right, I have no issues with that love.” Sophia said, romancing his hands.
“You don’t have to do that,” Alpha Nelson said a little bit calmly, withdrawing her hands from his
“It has been long since we last saw; where have you been all these years?” Alpha Nelson asked curiosity in his tone.
He was really tired of having the conversation with her, but just to please his parents and also for the purpose of old-time memories, he just thought he should be nice.
“You know, I was schooling in the United States of America, and I lived there too.” Sophia said, smiling, her blue orbs not leaving Alpha Nelson’s eye’s.
“I school in London too.” Alpha Nelson said even if he didn’t want to.
“That is cool; all that matters now is us, the love, the bond we shared as kids back then. I hope we can rekindle it. I really still do love you, Alpha Nelson.” Sophia said and stood up to sit on his laps.
“MY CUPCAKE!” You remember? This was the name you did call me years ago.
Alpha Nelson gasped.
