Corey spoke nonchalantly, but when Ying Xiaoxiao heard him, she looked thoroughly shocked. “She lives just opposite you?”
“Yes.” Corey nodded. Seeing her eyes wide open, he could not help but laugh. “What’s wrong? Do you need to be so surprised?”

“How did she end up living opposite you?”

Corey looked at her in amusement. “Dear Miss Ying, how would I know how she ended up living opposite me? Can you not ask such a stupid question?”
“Stupid question?” Ying Xiaoxiao rolled her eyes at him, her delicate little face looking a little cold.

The door was slammed shut, giving Corey a big fright. He stared at the door, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

After Ying Xiaoxiao walked out of the office, her heart became increasingly flustered the more she thought. She was in no mood to work.
She glanced back at the tightly shut door of the General Manager’s office and then walked out.

Rosiley took a small sip of coffee, lifting her eyes and looking at Ying Xiaoxiao, who had asked her out.
She found her face expressionless, no smile on it at all.
She did not look like she was in a good mood.
Rosiley hesitated for a moment, then she asked cautiously, “Xiaoxiao, did Corey make you angry again?”
Ying Xiaoxiao pouted her lower lip. “Not really. It’s just that I feel really upset.”
“Over what?” Rosiley asked with concern.
Ying Xiaoxiao bit her lip and hesitated for a long time before saying affectedly, “It’s, it’s just that… there’s a woman living… across from Corey.”
“Huh?” Rosiley frowned. “What’s wrong with that?”
“Isn’t it very normal for a woman to be living opposite Corey?”
