Caras Povs
The man froze, his head whipping around to glare at me. The laughing crowd all quieted down as if a ghost passed through the room, the crowd who had been enjoying the scene fell silent, the only sound left was from the man himself, who was still laughing as if his brain had left his head.
The girl took the opportunity to pull away and run, leaving me standing there, alone, with every pair of eyes in the room now locked on me.
After realising himself, He straightened up, his expression turning cold and dangerous. He took a step toward me, his lip curling in a sneer. “You’ve got a lot of nerve, girl.”
I glanced around, realising I had just drawn a lot of attention to myself. I wasn’t sure how I was going to get out of this, but I wasn’t about to back down now.
“Who do you think you are, coming in here and telling me what to do?” he sneered, his big tummy bouncing along with him. taking a step closer. “You think you can just walk in and play hero?”
“I’m not playing anything,” I shot back, clenching my fists. “I just don’t like seeing people being treated like trash.”
I swallowed hard, trying not to show how nervous I was. “She didn’t do anything wrong. You didn’t pay for that drink, why harass her?.”
He laughed, a harsh, unpleasant sound that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. “You think you can come in here and tell me what to do?”
I didn’t answer, but I stood my ground. My heart was racing, but I wasn’t about to back down now.
The man had a stout build, with a big grumpy ball of fats all around his face and protruding stomach, he came closer, with a dark smile.
I inwardly examined myself, the tingling in my body from my fight in the training session today, was still going round my body.
I smiled,
The big man, lunged at me, but he was so slow, the smell of heavy alcohol reached me even before he came. I shifted, stretching out my legs, tripping him. The man fell on the nearby table, shattering it completely. The eager crowd waiting for a show looked on with shock on their face.
Using the moment of shock, I descended the last floor of the mystery Den, in search of Mark, who I have not yet seen, reaching the ast floor. As I descended into the darker, more hidden parts of the Den, the music faded, replaced by muffled voices and strange noises. everywhere was dark, but not for us werewolves. Especially the rogues, because their wolves are more dominant than their human self. But the darkness was nothing to me.
When I reached the bottom floor, the air felt thick, and the dim lighting did little to hide the horrors around me. Following the sound of distant noise that sounds like cheering. I entered a large underground room that looked like an arena. In the centre was a ring, where five men were tearing into each other like wild animals. Blood splattered across the floor, and the stench of sweat, booze, and violence filled the air.
I gasped seeing the horrifying scene,
“This place is sick” I wheezed in disgust, my stomach churning at the sight. I abandoned my search for Mark. Afterall He probably won’t go down here. He had to be somewhere else.
The sounds of celebration laughter echoed through the floor behind me. As I rushed quickly to come out from the hell hole, not looking. I bumped into a body.
The person screamed in shock. Looking up, I discovered it was the same girl I had helped escape the short disgusting man.
“Hey, how are you? Sorry, I was not looking” I apologised nervously, looking up to the girl, but she looked at me with fearful eyes. She was a beautiful innocent girl, and I wondered what could have brought her here.
“You should not have done it” she said, so low that she could have just mouthed the words without a sound.
“Huh??” I said, confused at what she was saying.
“The…the man at the first…floor, you shouldn’t have inter…fered” she said, almost on the verge of crying.
I was in a state of shock, ” she should be thanking me for helping her, not warning me like I was the man who was molesting her”.
“Hey, hey, look at me, you are not meant to be here, you hear me, you are not anybody’s slave and you have a right to work normal work, earn a living and live a normal life…”
“Nooo, you dont understand… this is my life… you know what, just leave me alone, and don’t talk to me again”.
She said, Hurriedly disappearing down the stairs. Leaving me in my thoughts.
After searching the other floors for Mark and finding no sign of him, I decided it was time to leave. I’d had enough of this place. But just as I was heading toward the exit, I heard a loud shout from behind me.
“There she is, she is the bitch” a yell came from my back, causing me to turn my back. It was the fat stout man, he had come back. And this time with reinforcement. Four hefty men followed behind him.
The man’s eyes narrowed, and he motioned to a couple of guys standing nearby. His personal guards, by the look of it. They stepped forward, their eyes glinting with malicious intent.
“Let’s see how brave you are now,” the man said, hidng behind his guards. The guards moved in closer.
I quickly scanned the room, trying to figure out how to get out of this mess. The exit was just in front of me, within my reach but one of the guards was already blocking the exit with a smile on his face. The other three were coming from my back in flanks, blocking all possible means of escape. too far, and the crowd around us seemed more interested in watching the show than helping.
I was cornered, like a rabbit with no way out.. Panic surged through me as the walls seemed to close in. The exhaustion from my training earlier with Garreth weighed heavily on my body. My vision blurred, and the lights above flickered in and out of focus. What was happening to me? I felt lightheaded, my legs weakening beneath me.
“What was happening to me,” I wondered in terror, trying so hard to keep myself awake. By now they were already within arms length, I could see the mouth of the man curl up in an evil smile.
With nothing left to do, I took a bet, I jumped.
One of the guards took a step forward, latching on my dress, but I was already in the air, jumping over the guard in front of me, sacrificing my dress that by now was torn into rags. Manoeuvring over the first guard who stumbled in his bid to catch me but failed. I opened the only exit in sight and ran off into the cold night.
