Chapter 2301: Comprehending the Heaven Book

Book:Lord Came Back From The Battlefield Published:2024-11-6

“Mr. Bowman? Is this really the Heaven Book?”
Casey looked at Nathalie and asked, “There are no words or patterns? How do you comprehend it?”
“Mr. Billy, drop a drop of your blood on it,” Nathalie smiled at Billy.
“Blood?” Billy was taken aback. “Alright!”
A miraculous thing happened. As his drop of blood fell on the Heaven Book, the entire scroll turned blood red.
At the same time, Billy could clearly feel a stream of information flowing into his mind.
“Hmm?” Billy was stunned for a moment.
“Billy, what’s wrong?” Harleen asked.
“Give me a few minutes!” Billy said and then focused his mind inward.
The next moment, a picture appeared in Billy’s mind, with some text and some extremely abstract patterns.
Billy could only recognize a few of the words; the rest were symbols similar to talismans, which he couldn’t understand at all.
Even for the few words he could recognize, when put together, they made no sense to him.
The abstract patterns were equally baffling.
“Billy, can you understand it?” Purple Spirit’s voice sounded. She could merge with Billy and naturally see what was in his mind.
“No, I can’t!” Billy responded. “What about you? Can you understand it?”
Purple Spirit’s mouth twitched slightly. “Billy, are you overestimating me? I don’t even recognize many human words, let alone these.”
“Alright!” Billy shrugged.
“Billy, since this is the Heaven Book, it won’t be easy to understand. Keep it and take your time,” Purple Spirit said before going to sleep.
“Mr. Billy, any gains?” Nathalie asked after a while when Billy withdrew his consciousness.
“To my shame, none at all,” Billy shook his head.
“Billy Boy, what do you mean? What did you see?” Amber asked curiously.
“Hmm!” Billy smiled faintly and explained to them.
“So magical?” Casey couldn’t help but say.
After a slight pause, he looked at Nathalie and asked, “Mr. Bowman, if someone else got this Heaven Book and dropped their blood on it, would the information in my boss’s mind still be there?”
“No,” Nathalie shook her head. “The information from the Heaven Book only stays in the mind of the most recent person who dropped their blood on it.”
“I see,” Casey replied. “No wonder Kash Harmon tried every means to get this Heaven Book back.”
“He wants to get the Heaven Book back, but it’s not just because of that,” Nathalie shook her head again.
“He has already replicated the information in his mind through memory. Whether he has the Heaven Book or not doesn’t matter much.”
Before Casey could respond, she continued.
“He wants to get the Heaven Book back because there are nine volumes in total. To obtain the most powerful technique within the Heaven Book, all nine volumes must be gathered.”
“Understood,” Casey nodded.
“Mr. Billy, for many people, the allure of the Heaven Book surpasses even that of the Nine Dragons Cauldron,” Nathalie said to Billy.
“After all, many people know that the Nine Dragons Cauldron chooses its master. If it doesn’t recognize someone, even if they get it, it’s of little use.”
“But the Heaven Book is different. It doesn’t choose its master. Anyone with enough comprehension can understand it.”
“Understood,” Billy nodded and put the Heaven Book into his storage ring.
After a brief pause, he continued, “Master, please arrange for someone to spread the news that I have taken the Heaven Book to prevent Kash Harmon from coming again…”
“After today, Kash Harmon shouldn’t come again,” Nathalie interrupted Billy. “He will surely guess that you have taken the Heaven Book!”
“So, Mr. Billy, you must be careful. The Harmon family is a tough nut to crack. Kash Harmon is not their strongest member. Do not underestimate them!”
“Thank you for the reminder!” Billy responded again. After chatting for a while longer, Billy and his group bid farewell and left.
A few hours later, they arrived at the outskirts of Forest City. Azure Dragon and Azure Fang also emerged from the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space.
Casey took a few minutes to describe the situation with Cloudhaven Sect to everyone.
“Boss, can you really not understand that Heaven Book?” Stout smacked his lips and asked.
“Why don’t you give it a try?” Billy smiled.
Then, with a wave of his hand, an image appeared before everyone’s eyes, showing the contents of the Heaven Book.
Everyone looked at it curiously but soon their faces fell; they had no clue either.
“It seems that Kash Harmon is quite something to have comprehended this,” Judge couldn’t help but say.
“What good did it do him? He still lost an arm to Boss!” Soul Chaser replied.
“Are you arguing with me?” Judge’s mouth twitched slightly. “Can he compare with Boss?”
“He’s not to be compared with Boss. Even if he comprehended all nine volumes of the Heaven Book, he probably still wouldn’t be a match for Boss!”
“Boss, what’s the plan now?” Casey asked Billy.
“We’ll find a place to stay in the city. Everyone should focus on cultivation and quickly improve their strength,” Billy said after some thought.
“Boss, should we go to Whitecloud City to find Miss Charity?” White Tiger asked.
“We can ask her where Miss Sanaa’s home is and then visit the Schroeder family.”
“On one hand, we can check if she’s alright; on the other hand, we can ask if she knows anything about the old master. I have a feeling Miss Sanaa might have met him!”
“I have that feeling too!” Black Tortoise chimed in.
“In a while,” Billy nodded thoughtfully.
“Miss Charity was right; our strength is still too weak. Even if Miss Sanaa is in trouble, we can’t help her now. Going there would be pointless!”
“What we need to do now is survive and then talk about finding the old master.”
“Alright!” White Tiger and Black Tortoise nodded.
Then they entered Forest City and rented an inn near the main gate of the city.
For some time after that, everyone stayed indoors, focusing on refining cultivation resources.
Billy took some time to refine another batch of high-purity Mixing Essence Pills and helped Casey reforge ‘Demonhide’ in the Infinite Furnace.
After reforging, Demonhide’s defensive ability improved by several levels.
A dozen days later, everyone including Billy had advanced by a small level.
Billy also spent considerable time on the Heaven Book but after half a month, he still had no clue and was quite frustrated!
“Billy, if it doesn’t work out, take a break. Don’t push yourself too hard!” One day while Billy was in his room trying to comprehend the Heaven Book, Harleen brought him a cup of tea.
“I’m fine, don’t worry!” Billy smiled as he took the tea.
“Harleen, do you miss Tasha?”
