Alpha Carlos looked out over the pack’s field, his gaze fixed on Alpha Damian and his warriors as they approached.
A burst of laughter escaped his lips.
“You arrived earlier than I expected,” Alpha Carlos chuckled, his amused expression transforming into a fierce grin.
“Let us end this.”
He quickly unsheathed his sword and dashed towards Alpha Damian, who had also drawn his sword.
Alpha Carlos came to a sudden halt as their swords clashed; seeing this, their warriors surged forward in a chaotic run.
The air was filled with snarls, growls, and the clash of steel against steel.
“You are so tender with sword fights; how did you become the Alpha?” Alpha Damian teased, taking a step backward and blocking Alpha Carlos’ sword swing with his own.
“Cut the crap and show me what you have got!” Alpha Carlos yelled, his veins tightening with rage, and forcefully drew his sword back to himself.
The air became thick with tension, and the only sounds around them were their racing hearts and the soft rustle of their battle dress as they circled each other.
Alpha Damian stretched his left leg backward and moved quickly forward, his sword slicing through the air, nearly piercing Alpha Carlos’ shoulder.
Alpha Carlos moved back, sending chills down his spine as he stared at Alpha Damian, stunned by how quickly he moved.
Before he could move, Alpha Damian clenched his fist and delivered a blow to his chest, sending him stumbling back.
His armor was dented by the metallic stones used in the design, which were shaken off.
“You fucking..” Alpha Carlos screamed and swung his sword in a dangerous arc. Alpha Damian leaped aside, blocking the sword with his own, resulting in a resounding crash.
The impact caused them both to spin, their swords locked as their gazes were fixed on each other, filled with fury, rage, and anguish.
“You are so weak!” Alpha Damian exclaimed, yanking his sword away, causing Alpha Carlos to collapse on his face, his sword lying beside him.
Sweat dripped from their brows, and their breathing was ragged and in sync. Alpha Carlos rose to his feet and gripped the handle of his sword firmly.
“You are a loser. Do you even know who the stupid mate you are protecting is?” Alpha Carlos inquired, breathing heavily and moving sideways.
“Yes she did, and I am not impressed with the ridiculous question you asked,” Alpha Damian smiled, his mouth hanging after a blow landed on his cheeks and sent him stumbling.
The impact of the blow sent him crashing to the ground, his sword falling an inch away from him.
Alpha Carlos dived, a grin curling up on his lips, his sword raised for the kill. But Alpha Damian rolled, grabbed his sword, and flashed it up to counter the attack.
He raised one of his legs and hit Alpha Carlos in the back with his heel, causing him to collapse on his knees and cough.
Alpha Damian then sprang up, a smile on his face.
Anger washed over Alpha Carlos as he saw Alpha Damian’s victorious smile, providing him with new motivation and strength.
He sprang up, chest heaving.
For a brief moment, they stood still on their path, their eyes locked and burning with fervor.
Then they clashed again, and Alpha Damian’s sword pushed forward, piercing Alpha Carlos’ elbow despite his quick dodge.
A heartbreaking scream erupts from his throat, and pain spreads throughout his entire body as blood gushes out of the injured area.
Alpha Damian drew his sword, turned quickly, and stabbed Alpha Carlos in the waist.
Alpha Carlos was left breathless after a searing pain shot through his lower back.
Fear gripped his heart as his knees buckled and crashed to the ground. Alpha Damian, victorious, raised his right leg and pushed Alpha Carlos’ head with it, knocking him to the ground.
“So weak,” Alpha Damian muttered as he turned his back on Alpha Carlos. He was now facing the other warriors and about to open his mouth to speak when a sharp, piercing pain shot through his stomach.
He felt the metallic sensation of his blood running down his skin, even inside the armor he was wearing. Slowly, he turned back to see a sly grin on Alpha Carlos’ lips.
His neck arched slightly, revealing that he had been stabbed with an arrow, or Azani, as Luna Mavana had previously described it.
He pulled out the Azani, which had a dark, sticky substance on the tip as well as his blood.
His legs began trembling, and numbness spread up his spine.
His vision became blurry, and his knees sagged. With a groan, Alpha Damian collapsed to his knees, his sword slipping from his grasp.
His eyelids became heavy as his head spun.
His mind snapped awake in realization: the dark sticky substance was a sleeping poison, and his thoughts became disjointed.
His voice and speech stuck in his throat, and he slid forward, his cheeks colliding with the floor. The darkness gradually enveloped him.
” I wo… ” Alpha Carlos’ lips grew heavy, his eyes became heavy, and he had lost so much blood that unconsciousness gradually drew him in.
Without regard for their Alphas, the two packs continued to fight.
Alpha Damian’s warriors are clad in stainless steel armor, while Alpha Carlos’ warriors are dressed in black armor.
The two sides clashed again, their swords flashing and swinging in the sunlight.
They danced in a deadly pattern, their swords piercing the opposing teams.
Alpha Damian’s warrior, Marcus, faced off against Alpha Carlos’ warrior, Dan.
Their swords clashed, the blades scraping against each other with a scratching sound.
Marcus snatched his sword, causing Dan to stumble forward, creating an excellent opportunity for Marcus to deliver a kick to his side.
Dan regained his composure and flashed his sword, launching an attack.
Marcus countered, his sword slicing through the air, causing him to move forward, giving Dan a great opportunity to stab his back. However, as a trained warrior, Marcus quickly switched sides and stabbed Dan’s back, twisting his sword to go deeper.
” Ahhh!! ” He screamed, and a faint cough came from his lips. A small blood stain appeared in his mouth, and he coughed again, spitting up a mouthful of blood.
Marcus pulled out his sword and stabbed him again, this time deeper.
His body quivered, and his legs gave out. He collapsed to the ground, a groan echoing from his throat as he struggled to breathe.
Marcus took out his sword and slashed his neck from the left to the right. Blood seeped out of his slashed neck, and with a faint gurgle, his breathing stopped and his body went limp.
Marcus, pleased with his death, rushed over to the other warriors and began fighting.
On the other side, Alpha Damian’s warrior, Trine, defeated two of Alpha Carlos’ warriors. His sword slashed, its blade digging deeply into their armor as they stood together.
They fell, their black armor dented and bloodied.
Thane, Alpha Carlos’ warrior, charged forward alongside Gamma Loan, sword raised. Thane, Alpha Damian’s warrior, met him with equal force. Their swords clashed, sending them both stumbling back.
Luna Mavana emerged from the underground railroad entrance, scanning the chaotic scene in front of her.
She saw a fallen warrior, one of Alpha Carlos’ men, and recognized their armor color, black.
She moved quickly towards him, snatching a bow from his lifeless grasp before pulling an arrow from his chest.
She arched her nose in disgust as she shook off the blood from the arrow.
She stretched the bow and fixed the arrow in it with a quick movement, her fingers finding the perfect sync on the fly.
A smile spread across her lips as she released the arrow, watching it soar through the air before striking Thane.
The arrow pierced His neck, and he collapsed to the ground, his body limp and lifeless.
Gunnar’s head sprung up, his eyes surfing where the arrow came from, and then he sighted Luna Mavana.
Her gaze never fluttered, her focus fixed on Thane. Her chest heaved with exhaustion. The sound of clashing swords and warrior cries faded around her, and her mind became preoccupied with finding Alpha Damian.
She took a step forward, and another, until she got to a position where she spotted Gamma Loan on the floor, wounded with his skin torn and laced with blood. Pity, rage, and panic built up in her. She rushed forward, flickering her gaze in search of Alpha Damian.
Suddenly, her body went numb, her eyes fixed on a figure- Alpha Damian’s body, not lifeless since his breathing was coming out slow but panic had already set in.
Her breath caught in her throat, and her mind reeled from shock.
“Alpha Damian!” She mumbled, her lips quivering in time with her leg movements.
