14- Broken Curse?

Book:Mavana; The Silver Omega Published:2024-11-6

Tension permeated the air; the cloud felt more depressed than their mind, while their mind felt more clouded than the sky. The tension was heightened by the various questions running through their heads. The Elders who were present were driven by a desire to understand what was going on.
According to legend, the Silverado royal family will never be blessed with a Mate due to a curse placed on them by the Moon Goddess, and this has been the case ever since. It was strange and surprising that the word “Mate” could be heard from them, and not to another royal, but toa rogue captured by their pack.
Alpha Damian’s head was swimming with uncertainty. He had no idea what to do next and they could not let Crest Pack down by back out of the agreement.
He said, trying to sound calm and unmoved by his emotions, “We still have to get going.” Beta Frank was the one who tackled him first. “Now that you have seen your mate, what are you planning? I only know you wanted to sign the deal because you could not get a mate.” To ease his bothersome thoughts, he asked.
“We cannot back out of the agreement. It will only lead to more issues for us, but I refuse to go there with her,” Alpha Damian stated, staring at Mavana, who was overcome with emotion and thoughts.
He muttered, seeing the looks on the Beta’s face, “We will negotiate with our own rules since they will benefit more and I only planned to sign the deal because of my inability to get a mate, There should not be any problem with negotiating.” He then motioned for the guards to assist Mavana out of the car.
Mavana was abruptly and violently yanked from the car by the first guard, who had opened the door and grabbed her arm. As his hands tightened around her bandaged body, Mavana let out a scream. She attempted to break free by throwing her legs, but her attempts were unsuccessful.
In an instant, the guard’s head fell off and blood ran down his neck as Alpha Damian used his enormous claws to slice off his head, causing her screams and muffles to change into a startled yell.
With wide-open mouths and bewilderment, the Elders hurried back. Alpha Damian’s action was unexpected and brutal, as he went beyond simply cutting off his head.
He ripped his skin into various sizes until he bled out all of his blood, causing Mavana’s head to swirl as she gradually lost consciousness.
Alpha Damian’s body relaxed as he noticed his mate on the ground, unconscious.
“I am coming,” he said, bent over, carried Mavana, and walked into the pack house. Walking through the pack house passages with Mavana in his hand, everyone passing by looked at him, each with a different thought running through their mind.
He opened his room and gently dropped her onto the bed before telling his mother to summon the royal doctor.
” What is going on? Why is she…?” He didn’t let his mother finish her questions when he interrupted her. “There are no rooms for questions now. Just do what I say.” He mumbled with authority and walked out to meet the elders, as well as his Beta and Gamma.
He got into the car as soon as he arrived. Without saying anything, everyone else got into the car and set out on their journey to Crest Pack.
********The wind slaps against the trees’ thick bark, and the leaves sway in the direction of the wind. Silence filled the air, leaving only the rustling of the car engine and the tyre to be heard. Their cars drove in formation down a narrow road with thick woods on both sides.
Everyone was lost in their own consuming thoughts and did not notice the strange movements in the woods until arrows flew towards their cars, piercing through the windows violently, causing screams and the screeching sound of the arrow-pierced tyres that came to an abrupt halt.
The people jumped out of the woods and blocked their way, while others surrounded them; it was at this point that they realized an ambush was planned for them. Silverado Pack guards/warriors descended from the car and began firing arrows at them.
Alpha Damian’s mind was troubled, and he quickly began regretting his actions in accepting the agreement. He should have been aware of Carlos’s cunning behavior.
“Get in the car, everyone; we are heading down to Crest Pack now!!” Alpha Damian commanded with various ideas racing through his head.
They all immediately obeyed his command as they entered the cars, bloodied and wounded. Civil Elder shook his head and sneered at the situation on the ground before whispering to his other Elders.
They looked over to Alpha Damian, who appeared pale and lost in his own subconscious mind.
The car’s engine rustled back to life almost simultaneously as they drove off roughly.
In less than thirty minutes, they arrived at Crest Pack House and parked their car. They all alighted and waited for the Alpha’s order.
Alpha Damian came down and looked around with murderous eyes, “My Beta, Gamma, and the Elders should come along, but make sure you are all alert and do not allow any distractions.” He spoke to the guards coldly before walking into the pack house, his men trailing behind him.
Daisy was the first to notice them, and she squealed with delight when she saw the Alpha she was to marry. Despite the fact that she did not know him, the power and aura emanating from each of his steps made it easy to guess who he was.
She dashed to her brother to inform him of the guests’ arrival. Alpha Carlos looked at her with a radiant smile on her lips and felt irritated; only if she knew the change of plans.
“Do not reveal yourself to them until I say so, and before entering your room, inform the Luna of their arrival.” Daisy felt humiliated by her brother’s nonchalant response and errands. She opened the door and walked out, murmuring.
“It is not your fault; I will deal with everyone of you as soon as I marry Alpha of the Silverado Pack, and he will be chosen by the Alpha King.” She muttered beneath her breath, which Luna Lorienta unfortunately heard.
