“Honestly, I haven’t thought of anything yet, but I will send some people to spy on Vione. Based on my observations, if Vione is really hurt, she might be planning to take revenge on you and Usher.”
Mireya’s eyes widened. It seemed that she had overlooked this possibility. “I can definitely feel Vione’s hatred, but I never thought she would plan to take revenge on me.”
“Aren’t you a woman, Mireya? So would you sit quietly if another woman tried to seduce me?”
Mireya growled. Her expression changed instantly. “Of course not, Torin. If she even thinks about it, I’ll get rid of her immediately.”
Torin’s laughter echoed. “You’re really straightforward, Mireya, and that’s why I love you so much.”
“Enough, Torin. Don’t try to distract me. I am really exhausted right now,” Mireya said and let out a long breath. She stood up and went to the kitchen to get a cup of warm water. “These pregnancy hormones make me miss you terribly.”
This time Torin’s laughter was replaced by a long groan. “Do you think you’re the only one who misses someone, Mireya? Of course not. I miss you too, and the only thing we can do is to finish this plan as soon as possible. Then we won’t be separated anymore.”
That was Mireya’s hope. So, she and Torin continued their discussion that night and planned the next steps.
“The most important thing, Mireya, is to make sure that all the assets of the Frostholm Pack fall into your hands. So, I’ll send someone to give you Willow’s magic tea, and this time we need to increase the dose.”
Mireya nodded. “In the meantime, you have to spy on Vione. We have to find a way to get rid of Vione from this world completely.”
The conversation ended five minutes later. Mireya breathed a sigh of relief and now it was time to rest for a while. She knew that a long day awaited her starting tomorrow.
Mireya closed her eyes with a broad smile. Happy visions filled her mind and then she murmured: “Soon, Mireya. Soon you will be the Luna of the Nimbria Pack.”

Frankly, Hilary’s feelings had never been at ease since The Past Vione’s visit some time ago. She felt restless, even though The Past Vione said she was fine and the rumors were just that, rumors.
Just like this morning. Hilary felt her heart heavy with an inexplicable sadness. She was confused and tried to push it away, but then she realized it wasn’t grief. It wasn’t her grief. It was a premonition, a warning of impending sadness, and she proved it.
At exactly twelve noon, Hilary, who had just finished her duty as a forest ranger, decided to go home for a while. She wanted to rest at home. She thought it would calm her feelings. But the opposite happened.
The presence of The Past Vione at home stunned Hilary. Especially when she saw The Past Vione crying so bitterly in her room. She knew, even without asking, that she must know that something terrible had happened to The Past Vione.
The news of The Past Vione’s departure spread quickly among the pack. It became a topic of conversation for days. And that’s why Hilary asked The Past Vione to stay at home.
The Past Vione smiled. “I’m fine, Mom. Don’t worry. Besides, this too shall pass.”
Hilary remained silent. She looked at The Past Vione with a helpless look. She knew that The Past Vione was deeply hurt. But The Past Vione chose to hide this sadness for herself and Addy.
“I’m sorry, Vione.” Hilary hugged The Past Vione tightly. Now she couldn’t hold back the tears that had been rebelling for days. “I can’t do anything for you.”
The Past Vione smiled sadly. She stroked Hilary’s back gently and lovingly. “It’s more than enough, Mom. I’m very grateful. I may not be lucky in love, but I’m very lucky to have you and Dad in my life.”
The resignation of The Past Vione deepened Hilary’s grief, and on the other hand, Addy felt his own anguish. As a father, his feelings were overwhelming. He couldn’t accept that The Past Vione, his beloved daughter, would be so easily discarded.
Addy wanted to protest. He wanted to meet The Past Usher and demand justice for The Past Vione. But a shred of reason prevented him from acting impulsively.
Reality hit Addy in a painful way. He couldn’t demand anything from The Past Usher. He couldn’t because The Past Usher was an Alpha. He couldn’t do anything because it could be considered a serious offense that could be misconstrued as disobeying the Alpha.
So, Addy could only brood alone in his helplessness. In his heart he cursed himself. If only I hadn’t approved of your relationship with the Alpha, Vione. Forgive me for not protecting you.
The rustling of the bushes interrupted Addy’s mourning. His instincts kicked in and an unusual heartbeat accelerated. He quickly wiped the tears from his cheeks and scanned the area, asking loudly, “Who are you?”
Addy waited as he continued to look around. His alertness was heightened. He observed the surroundings without missing a single part. Then, suddenly, he saw a man emerge from behind a tree.
Addy blinked. He studied the man’s appearance, which was completely covered. Surely, he was wearing a hood and a mask. So, Addy couldn’t recognize him. “Who are you? What are you doing here?”
The man didn’t answer, but continued to approach Addy. His eyes looked at Addy, but they were not sharp, they gave Addy an incomprehensible look. He could feel sadness, loss and fear.
Addy’s vigilance relaxed. His instincts told him the man meant no harm. His instincts had never been wrong, and he had always trusted them.
“Leave this place. Leave the Frostholm Pack.”
Addy was stunned. Perhaps for the first time in his life, he didn’t trust his instincts. To him, this was clearly the most dangerous person of all.
“How dare you tell me to leave? Leave the Frostholm Pack?” Addy glared, trying to remember if he recognized the voice. “Who do you think you are?”
The man groaned in exasperation. “Please, leave here. It’s for your own good and that of your family. It’s for Vione.”
The name Vione made Addy freeze. This time he snapped, “Tell me! Who are you?”
The man showed no sign of answering Addy’s question. Instead, he said, “You don’t need to know who I am. What’s important is that you get out of here before it’s too late.”
The man quickly left. But Addy wouldn’t let him go so easily. He leapt forward and attacked.
The man’s eyes widened. His body dodged reflexively. He escaped Addy’s attack, but his hoodie was caught.
Addy tugged at the man’s hoodie. His intention was to see the man’s face, but he was stunned to see a glowing golden pendant around the man’s neck, just as the sunlight illuminated it!
