Meanwhile, at Northville City Airport.
An international flight landed on schedule.
A woman, dragging her suitcase, emerged from the terminal and stood at the airport entrance, removing her oversized sunglasses.
Gazing at the blue sky and white clouds above, she slightly curled her red lips.
“Northville City, I’m back.”
After so many years, she was finally standing on this soil again! She had thought to give Ulric some time to heal from his heartbreak with Rosalind. She tried not to upset him, tried not to appear before him, only to be met with his sudden announcement of marriage!
And the bride was still not her.
How could that be?
If she could break up Ulric and Rosalind four years ago, she could defeat any woman trying to steal Ulric from her now!
Sirena refused to believe that dedicating her lifetime to battling for Ulric would yield nothing.
Pausing at the entrance, she pulled out her phone and dialed Johnny’s number, “I’m back.”
“Back where?”
“Northville City.”
Sirena chuckled, “Ulric got married and didn’t even tell me; that’s really not fair. I have to come back and see his bride.”
Johnny was silent for a few seconds before speaking, “Why hide it? You’re here to steal him back, aren’t you?”
Busted, Sirena wasn’t embarrassed.
She casually hailed a taxi at the airport and got in, “Shouldn’t I come? His marriage is invalid if not approved by the Walters family, not recognized by his parents.”
“You still don’t see it? Ulric doesn’t like you. Just give up.”
“Would you give up on a project you’ve spent your entire life planning?” Sirena’s tone was heavy, then she coldly smiled, “Of course, I didn’t expect you to understand. You just need to tell me who the new woman by Ulric’s side is, what her name is. I’ll handle the rest.”
“I’m not in Northville City, and I don’t know; he’s kept it very tight this time. I can’t help you.”
Sirena’s brows furrowed, sitting up straight, “I don’t believe you don’t know!”
“There’s nothing I can do if you don’t believe me. Go ask Ulric yourself. You didn’t consult me when you went after Rosalind, you took it too far! Now I’m worried Ulric will find out the truth, I can’t even imagine the consequences. I’m not getting involved this time.”
She caught his drift and feigned resignation with a sigh, “What are you afraid of? Even if he finds out, it was his parents who acted, not you. I won’t expose you! Knowing you’re good friends with him, you should know marrying me is the best choice for W Group. I’m willing to go all out to help him, no one loves him more than I do.”
“It still has to be Ulric’s choice.”
“Fine, if you won’t help, it doesn’t matter. My plane has already landed.”
Sirena tugged at the corner of her lips, “He loved Rosalind so much back then, ready to give up everything, and yet they still split up? You can hide things from me, but I will find out. I’m giving you a chance to pick a side.”
Johnny’s voice carried a strange laugh, “Then you do that, take your time finding out.”
That response made Sirena suspicious.
His words suggested things weren’t so simple…
“It couldn’t be… Rosalind hasn’t come back, has she?”
