Paige stood there, her slender fingers pressed on the console, her fingertips crawled a few steps, thinking twice, her fingertips stopped on a round black button in front of her and pressed it.
A sound immediately came from the stereo in the control room.
Paige looked around, but saw Brangelina sitting in a chair with her head tilted in sleep; she took off the jacket she was wearing and covered Brangelina with it, just as she heard a sad, bitter laugh coming from the stereo-
“Don’t bother, Enrico, you won’t get out of here.” It was Rachel’s voice.
It really was connected.
Paige was overjoyed and looked toward the screen where Enrico was.
Only to see Rachel sitting on the floor with her back against the mirrored wall, looking at Enrico with a pair of infatuated eyes, and slowly swallowing, “There hasn’t been a single moment in these past few years that I haven’t thought about how to treasure you, and I’ve built such a big house by the sea just thinking that after I pick you up, we’ll have dinner together every day, and look at the sea together every day.”
“…”
“I didn’t realize it was ruined by Paige, now I don’t want that anymore, I just want to plant a compulsion in your body so I can see and hold you in my last moments.”
Rachel said, emotions changing strongly in her eyes, one moment of sadness, the next of hate, “Unfortunately, it was ruined by Paige again.”
“…”
“It’s okay though, I was going to drag Paige down with me, but I didn’t want it to be you who fell with me.” Rachel said and laughed again, looking admiringly at the magnificent man in the room, “So, do we count as dying together?”
Enrico stood in the nothing room, his face sinking and sinking at her words, annoyance already etched in his eyes.
“Shut up.” He gritted his teeth, his eyes glaring over at him sinisterly, “Do you know why I didn’t kill you? Because I didn’t want to get the stench of your corpse.”
By this point, Rachel had clearly reached a pinnacle of shock resistance.
She sat there, and instead of mourning, she smiled, a pale and contented smile, “Paige would never have imagined until she died that, in the end, it was me and your flesh and blood that merged together.”
At those words, Paige bent down, tapped her fingers on the countertop of the console, and said word for word into the microphone-
“Rachel, don’t worry, I won’t let the stench of your corpse get to my man.”
She looked at the screen with cool eyes.
Hearing her voice, Rachel’s gaze shook with disbelief.
Enrico, on the other hand, immediately raised his eyes to the camera high up in the corner, the grimness gone from his face and the light coming out of his eyes like he could see Paige.
He hooked his lips up evilly at her, “Paige, a bit of skill, where did you go in?”
Paige listened and smiled faintly, “I’m in the main control room, you wait.”
Saying that, Paige pressed the call buttons of all the mazes and rooms according to her own projections, and spoke out in unison, “This is Paige, everyone stop where they are now, and don’t try to walk again.”
At that, everyone who heard her at every point froze and looked around, but also stopped in unison.
All sorts of voices came out.
Basically asking her what was going on and how to get out.
Paige didn’t have time to listen carefully, and only said, “This underground space is far deeper than we imagined, it’s a huge human life winnowing machine, and every extra step you guys take will intensify the shaking and aggravate the deaths of those on the lower levels.”
Upon hearing this, everyone tensed up and didn’t even dare to move.
Enrico stood in place, his eyes sank in understanding, “I am the lower room?”
He really … didn’t even need her to say it explicitly.
“Sister Paige, so what should we do now?” Nick asked calmly as he stood in a maze.
“Y’all stay put for now, I need to work on it some more.”
Paige said, shutting down the other comms, leaving only Enrico’s, and told him, “That’s right, your room and the old man’s room are to the left and right, both on the lowest level, and you were right not to shoot just now, if the mirror wall breaks, the whole structure will be out of balance.”
“People aren’t easy to save?” Enrico understood the crux of her statement.
“…”
Paige was silent.
Rachel had recovered from her initial disbelief, she flexed her legs to look at the camera position and smiled, “Don’t waste your breath, Paige, you’re right, this is the place I designed for myself to sleep for a long time, and since it’s a long time, how could I have let it break.”
Upon hearing this, Enrico walked over to Rachel with a black face, crouched down, and clutched a handful of her hair, forcing her to lift her face, his eyes glowing hard as he stared at her, “Say, how do you make this strangler stop?”
“Uh …” Rachel’s scalp tightened in pain as she was clutched, blood dripping from the corner of her lip.
She looks over at Enrico in pain, and suddenly, the pain turns back to happiness as she says to herself, “You know what, Enrico? Emery and I talked about it later on, and we both hypothesized the question, if you had lived at the manor from the beginning, and the three of us siblings had grown up together, wouldn’t everything have turned out like this?”
“…”
“Are you happy dying with me?” Rachel asked with a smile that brought tears to her eyes.
“You’re sick!” Enrico’s patience ran out as he threw Rachel out.
“Bang.” Rachel was flung out and fell heavily to the floor, spitting out a mouthful of blood.
The room shook with her.
Blanca, who was at the bottom, was hoisted down much further.
Paige watched and said, “Enrico, give me a moment.”
“Don’t mess.”
Enrico crouched on the floor without even thinking about it, his dark eyes looking straight into the camera, spacing out to give her strength, “Paige, I’m here with you.”
Paige looked down at her hands, her palms already covered in sweat.
Even without being able to see her face, he knew that she wasn’t as calm as she sounded at the moment.
Right now, everyone’s lives were in her hands.
“Enrico, I’m going to get you out of here.” Paige said word for word as she raised her eyes to the man’s handsome face on the screen.
“Of course.” Enrico smiled without half a doubt.
Gazing into his deep eyes, Paige took a deep breath and began to continue her study of the console, thinking to herself that the crack should be in here as well.
She could think of something, she could definitely think of something.
Paige pursed her lips and turned her brain on high speed again.
Enrico half crouched on the ground, looking sullenly at the camera, and suddenly, he let out a low laugh as he took hold of Rachel’s ankle and dragged the dying man back, saying, “Paige, what I told you today, teaching you how to deal with your love rival, I’m not done teaching yet.”
“…”
Paige didn’t look up, only continued her research.
Rachel struggled on the floor, trying to sit up again, but couldn’t.
Her life had come to a dead end.
Suddenly, her entire body was picked up and sat on the floor.
Rachel looked dully at Enrico on the side and saw him looking at her with one pair of ghostly eyes, she stared at the dazzling white of his body, “You still look good in black.”
Back then, when he broke into the manor wearing all the colors of ink and holding a gun, he broke into her heart as well.
