Alpha Kilian deepened his kiss, his wolfish desires consuming him.
Unable to resist his animal instincts any longer, he pushed Nelly onto the bed with a possessive force.
Their passion and lust were on the verge of exploding into wild flames when Nelly felt a strange stickiness on her hand.
Opening her eyes, she was greeted by the sight of blood staining her trembling fingertips. Instinctively, her gaze turned towards his wound.
As expected, blood oozed out from beneath his bandages, marking him as wounded prey. “Alpha Kilian…” she whispered urgently, pushing him away.
With his head lowered, Alpha Kilian looked at her through taut veins bulging on his forehead. “What’s wrong?”
“Your wound is bleeding…” her voice was filled with concern.
“I’m fine,” he dismissed her worry, his gaze hungry as he leaned in for another kiss.
“Stop this game,” Nelly murmured, her gentle push growing firmer. “Nelly!”
Calling out her human name meant nothing now. In that moment, Nelly’s eyes transformed, losing all traces of desire.
Standing up, she declared, “I will fetch the doctor.”
Unexpectedly, Alpha Kilian reached out, gripping her hand. “Nelly, I can endure a little longer.”
“Endure what?” she questioned.
A sly, knowing smile curved Alpha Kilian’s lips as he locked eyes with her.
But Nelly only glanced at him, her response firm, “Don’t even think about it.” With that, she strode out of the room.
As Alpha Kilian watched her retreat, he sank onto the bed in frustration. Unbelievable that his useless wound had sabotaged his plans!
Meanwhile, downstairs, Dave was engrossed in a chess game with Ben and Tony.
In the midst of their concentration, Nelly descended the stairs and approached them. “Dave, is the doctor still here?”
Dave looked up, meeting her gaze. He nodded, curiosity etched on his face. “What happened?”
“It’s nothing serious. Alpha Kilian’s wound has reopened slightly and needs to be tended to,” Nelly calmly explained.
Ben, Tony, and Dave exchanged glances, their thoughts veering in a particular direction. Had their passionate encounter led to his wound reopening?
Noticing Dave’s silence, Nelly inquired, “Is there a problem?”
Shaking himself out of his reverie, Dave quickly reassured her. “No problem. I’ll make the call now. Just stay calm.”
Nelly nodded and began ascending the stairs, her steps purposeful.
Dave dialed the number, leaving the room to make the necessary arrangements. After a while, they both headed upstairs together.
Inside the room, Alpha Kilian lay obediently on the disheveled bed, only chaos remaining in the wake of their interrupted passions.
Ben and Tony exchanged another look with Dave, silently questioning what they had witnessed.
The doctor treated Alpha Kilian’s wound again, cautioning him, “Avoid strenuous activities. If your wound tears open once more, it may struggle to heal properly.”
Alpha Kilian glanced at the doctor, voice filled with mischief as he asked, “What activities would you consider strenuous?” The doctor’s surprise was evident.
Nelly shot him a warning glare, causing him to straighten up and acknowledge the doctor’s advice. “I understand. I will be careful.”
Dave was left speechless.
Even Tony and Ben struggled to find words.
All three of them stood dumbfounded. Clearly, they had recognized the warning Nelly had conveyed through her eyes. Was this the same Alpha Kilian Morris they knew?
Before departing, the doctor forced an awkward smile and simply left the room. Nelly spoke up, “I will go fetch the medicine.” With that, she exited as well. Tony and Ben involuntarily chimed in, “We’ll come too!”
Left alone in the room, only Alpha Kilian and Dave remained.
Dave approached him, giving him a significant look before teasing, “The situation is intense, but it seems you lack the strength to match it.”
Alpha Kilian understood exactly what Dave meant, realization dawning the moment those words left his lips.
To be precise, he knew what was coming when he noticed the mischievous glint in Dave’s eyes upon entering the room.
Raising an eyebrow, Alpha Kilian remarked, “You wouldn’t understand after all these years of being single.”
Dave sneered, “I may be single, but I am far from lonely.”
Alpha Kilian surveyed him, adding, “Dave, as someone experienced, I advise you to save your dignity and humility for your future partner, lest she holds you in contempt.”
Dave stared at Alpha Kilian, disbelief etched on his features.
“Is Nelly contemptuous of you?” Dave inquired.
“Don’t compare me to you. I am not like you,” Alpha Kilian retorted.
Dave chuckled, disregarding the remark. “Oh, Alpha Kilian, I wish you could see yourself in the mirror just now. You acted like a man terrified of his own wife!”
“And what if I am?” Alpha Kilian responded, his tone nonchalant as he raised an eyebrow. “I am willing to heed my wife’s guidance because she is beautiful and exceptional.”
Dave stared at him, utterly astounded.
“Are you still the Alpha Kilian Morris I know?” Dave questioned, his voice tinged with bewilderment.
After a brief pause, Alpha Kilian broke into a smile. “No. I am the Alpha Kilian Morris that Nelly knows.”
In that moment, thoughts of Nelly consumed his mind, her words echoing through his being. He was a werewolf willing to submit to his mate’s desires.
