Billy had already assessed the cultivation levels of the eight or nine people outside. The strongest was an elder at the fifth-rank Returning Source Realm, while the others were below the early stages of the Returning Source Realm.
Based on his understanding of Opal and Harleen, even if they couldn’t defeat their opponents, they could at least hold their ground. So there was no immediate cause for concern; it was an opportunity for Harleen and the others to consolidate their cultivation.
“Stout, how are you?” Billy asked as he entered the city, looking at Stout, who had just gotten up from the ground.
“I’m fine!” Stout wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and shook his right arm. “That old man’s fist is really hard; it almost broke my arm.”
“A mere second-rank Prime Source Realm can take a punch from me. Interesting!” An elder not far away said in a deep voice. “I want to see how tough you really are. Take another punch!”
After speaking, his figure disappeared from where he stood and reappeared, throwing another punch at Stout, causing the void to tremble.
“You’re an idiot!” Stout said, looking at him disdainfully.
As soon as he finished speaking, a blade light flashed past the elder. Due to inertia, the elder took a few more steps before looking down at the bloodline on his body.
Then his body split in two and fell to the ground. The elder was only a half-step Returning Source Realm and naturally couldn’t withstand a single strike from Billy.
“Elder Emory!” Seeing this scene, five or six men and women who had just appeared from the front cried out in pain. Without thinking further, they quickly fled back the way they came. They knew very well that if even Elder Emory was no match, staying would only mean death.
“Since you’re here, stay!” Billy’s voice echoed in their ears like a death sentence. After several blade lights flashed, the six people collapsed without knowing what had happened, leaving no survivors.
“Boss, go check on the ladies!” Stout said as he rushed towards the corpses, clearly to collect storage rings. Billy then flew into the air and quickly headed out of the city.
At this moment, in mid-air, only four or five of the eight or nine men and women remained; the others were already lying on the ground.
With a loud bang, Casey was sent flying a thousand meters away. However, thanks to his Demonhide armor, he suffered no injuries other than some internal turmoil.
“What do you have on you?” The elder at the third-rank Returning Source Realm frowned deeply. He couldn’t understand why Casey, who was a whole realm lower than him, could take two or three of his moves without any harm! Moreover, Casey’s spear almost caused him to lose his physical body several times.
“Ask the king of hell!” Casey steadied himself and charged at the elder again, his Nether Flame Spear trailing a blue flame.
“Arrogant!” The elder frowned and threw another punch.
After a loud bang, both retreated a thousand meters. Casey remained unscathed, while blood seeped from the elder’s mouth.
“Again!” Casey’s eyes narrowed as he charged once more.
Meanwhile, not far away, Harleen retreated two or three thousand meters after exchanging blows with her opponent, spitting out blood. Her opponent was the elder at the fifth-rank Returning Source Realm! By activating her bloodline power, she could raise her cultivation to the seventh-rank Prime Source Realm. With the Thousand Shadow Clone Technique, she could hold her own against him. Though injured, her opponent was also bleeding from the mouth.
“Harleen, how are you?” Billy asked as he arrived.
“I’m fine!” Harleen shook her head in response.
“I’ll handle this; go check on Opal,” Billy said.
“Okay!” Harleen glanced towards Opal’s direction and then turned to leave.
The elder did not stop her but looked at Billy. “You’re quite bold. Do you know who we are?”
“I’ll give you a chance to live,” Billy replied calmly. “Tell me why Kash Harmon sent you here.”
“Hmm?” The elder was slightly taken aback. “You know we’re from the Harmon family?”
“You’d better answer directly,” Billy said coldly.
“Knowing we’re from the Harmon family and still daring…” The elder frowned.
Before he could finish speaking, a blade light flashed, severing an arm that flew into the air with blood spraying everywhere. The elder was sent flying a thousand meters away. After cutting off one of his arms, Billy didn’t intend to stop. He disappeared and reappeared with another blade light.
The elder’s pupils contracted as he dodged to the side, barely avoiding a direct hit. Without hesitation, he fled several thousand meters away in an instant.
“I gave you a chance; now I’ll end you,” Billy said calmly.
As he spoke, Dark Puppet chased after the elder at high speed. Given his current state, he was no match for Dark Puppet. After a loud bang, the elder was sent flying three or four thousand meters and his physical body was destroyed instantly.
A soul escaped into the air but was quickly absorbed by Dark Puppet within a thousand meters.
After dealing with this elder, Dark Puppet rushed towards Ivy and Amber’s battle under Billy’s control. The fight continued for another two or three minutes before ending completely.
Except for one white-robed man who was barely alive, all their opponents were dead. None of the Returning Source Realm men and women survived.
“What did Kash Harmon send you here for?” The group approached the white-robed man.
“The… the family head wanted to confirm if your destination was Cloudhaven Sect…” The elder didn’t resist anymore.
“Hmm?” Billy and his group were taken aback by his words.
“Your family head knows we’re going to Cloudhaven Sect?” Billy asked with a frown. “Does he know that the Heaven Book is there?”
“Before today, he probably only suspected it. But from the moment you arrived in Forest City, he was almost certain,” replied the elder.
“How did he suspect that the Heaven Book is at Cloudhaven Sect?” Casey asked.
“The family head knew long ago that Bradyn Harmon didn’t take the Heaven Book to The Wilderness,” said the elder.
“How does he know?” Casey pressed further.
“When he obtained the Heaven Book back then, he left a soul imprint on it,” continued the elder. “Although Bradyn Harmon later placed it in an independent space through some method, our family head could still vaguely sense its existence without knowing its exact location.”
“If Bradyn Harmon had taken it to The Wilderness, such a distant place would make it impossible for our family head to sense it.”
The elder paused and looked at Billy. “Later on, rumors spread that Bradyn Harmon gave you the Heaven Book. Our family head knew it was false.”
“But he speculated that although Bradyn Harmon didn’t give you the Heaven Book directly, he might have told you its hiding place. So he had us keep an eye on you…”
“Why did he suspect Cloudhaven Sect?” Casey interrupted him.
“Our family head only learned recently that Bradyn Harmon once saved Cloudhaven Sect’s leader’s life and that they were close friends,” recalled the elder.
“Has Kash Harmon already gone to Cloudhaven Sect?” Billy realized suddenly.
“Yes… yes…” replied the elder. “He’s already on his way…”
“Damn!” Judge and others cursed simultaneously.
“Everyone into Nine Dragons Cauldron!” Billy ordered sternly with a frown.
“Alright!” Harleen and others responded simultaneously.
After getting Cloudhaven Sect’s location from the white-robed man, Billy activated Nether Wings and flew away rapidly.
