Chapter 2354: I Have a Girlfriend

Book:Mr. Marsh's Twins Published:2024-11-6

On the way back to the living room with Tom Fritz, Lisa kept thinking about how to turn the situation around. She had already entered the estate and stepped through the Fritz family’s door; she was just one step away from success.
“Tom,” she called out.
The man glanced at her while walking, “Call me Tom Fritz.”
He didn’t want to be too close? She could sense his rejection.
“Mr. Fritz,” she smiled as she walked beside him, “Did you look at my profile?” She thought to herself, I’m so outstanding, how could he not notice me?
Tom understood her thoughts and politely replied, “It’s not about your profile. Lisa, you are excellent and can have better choices.”
“What if I just like you?” she asked passionately.
Tom Fritz remained unburdened, “I’m sorry, I can’t give you what you want.”
Such a direct rejection was an insult to Lisa, who had always been excellent since childhood. The blow to her strong sense of superiority made her feel extremely uncomfortable.
When the two young people entered the living room, Mrs. Fritz looked at them joyfully, “Come, come, sit down. Grandma has good news for you. The day after tomorrow is a good day for an engagement.”
“Grandma, I also have good news for you.” Tom Fritz approached the coffee table and looked gently at the elders.
“What’s the good news? Tell us!” Mrs. Fritz was very happy. “Is it that you are particularly satisfied with Lisa? After getting along with her, do you find her even more outstanding than described? The more I interact with Lisa, the more I like her.”
“Grandma, Dad, Mom, Lisa,” Tom Fritz spoke softly, “I have a girlfriend.”
The room fell silent for a few seconds. The elders looked at each other in surprise.
“Who is she?” Mrs. Fritz asked. “Why haven’t I heard about this?”
“I told you before, but you didn’t believe me.”
Mrs. Fritz’s expression turned serious and then said sternly, “This is impossible. Don’t try to fool me; Grandma doesn’t believe it!”
Jane seemed thoughtful. Could it be Bubu from her phone? The one who sent a video early in the morning?
“Grandma, every word I say is true,” Tom said calmly.
Williams’ lips moved slightly but he held back and looked meaningfully at his son.
“Bring her here for Grandma to see!” Mrs. Fritz put away her kind demeanor and spoke with authority. “If this girl is better than Lisa, then Grandma will approve!”
Hearing this, Lisa saw a glimmer of hope and felt relieved.
Tom Fritz didn’t speak; he knew what lay ahead. Agnes might not help with this absurd task, but he had no choice and had to discuss it with her.
In a short time, Lisa had won Grandma’s heart; this girl was not simple. If there was a fake engagement, it would certainly lead to endless trouble.
“Tom, come upstairs with Mom,” Jane stood up from the sofa. “Mom has something to tell you.”
Lisa watched mother and son go upstairs one after the other and couldn’t fathom where the future mother-in-law stood.
When she looked at her future father-in-law’s face, she also couldn’t figure out his thoughts since she had just entered the estate.
But one thing was certain: Grandma really liked her and approved of her greatly.
Lisa knew that in this family, Grandma had enough say. As long as she maintained a good relationship with Grandma, she would eventually marry Tom Fritz one day.
