Four days until the full moon
AVA
The next morning, I needed to do something normal. Something that didn’t involve magic of any kind, or whatever threats might be trying to sneak up on me, and definitely not about the problems I was having with Theo.
The solution? A 5am run with Alex and Jacob, of course.
I knew Callum wouldn’t want to let me go on my own, but I managed to convince him to stay behind at the packhouse. Somehow.
I wouldn’t go too far, so he’d be able to reach me within a couple minutes if it came to it. I also promised that I would keep my mindlink with him open so he could keep an eye on me.
Artemis loved running. She always had and always would. With everything that was going on, we hadn’t really had a chance to stretch our legs in a while. I’d suddenly gone from nervous schoolgirl to assistant trainer with the Beta, to finding out that actually I could overpower even my Alpha because actually the legends I grew up on are true… and finally to where I am today, with three marked mates, planning to mark the fourth as soon as possible.
Life had definitely taken a strange turn, but I was finally happy. Truly happy. I had good people around me, people that I knew would have my back whatever happened. And I knew that I’d be okay at the end of each day.
Running with Alex and Jacob was just what the doctor ordered. A perfectly normal run between two Alphas and a Beta.
I was calm and relaxed by the time we got back to the pack house for breakfast. A good mood that was made even better by the fact that Callum, Oscar, Noah and Theo were all waiting for me with pancakes, bacon and maple syrup ready to go. I knew there was a reason they were my favourites.
After breakfast, which included plenty of teasing from all four of my boys, I found Izzie and Leo, and the seven of us moved upstairs to my office. Paula even gave me a platter of tiny cakes… It was proving to be a good day.
“So, Izzie,” I started, around a mouthful of cake.
She smirked in my direction as she also stuffed her face with cake.
My resulting laugh had me nearly choking on my cake. “I gained a new power that I need to test…” She raised one eyebrow, motioning for me to continue. “But I can’t test it on anyone that already has their wolf, and definitely not on these four.”
“What is it?”
“Artemis and I believe, and this is hypothetical at the moment, that we can project feelings, emotions and images.”
I hadn’t told the boys that yet, so their mouths fell open too.
“I can’t test it with the boys because we have a mate link too, so determining what was through the link and what was down to the new power would be near enough impossible.” I paused for another mouthful of cake. “With you though, Izzie, I eliminate those risk factors.”
Her face was contemplative. “Promise that you won’t show me anything terrifying or make me feel something too negative and I’ll help.”
“Of course, Izzie. I won’t tell you what it will be because I need to make sure it truly works, but I promise it won’t be bad.”
She smiled, before nodding that she was ready to go.
I let my eyes fall closed, identifying what I believed was Izzie’s ‘energy’, or ‘mind’. Once I had a lock on her, I imagined Leo dressed as a clown on roller skates juggling bananas and singing the theme from The Greatest Showman. I pushed that image towards her, trying not to laugh at myself as I did.
I knew it worked when Izzie burst out laughing.
I opened my eyes again to see her wiping tears away from the corners of her eyes. “Oh, Ava,” she laughed. “I do love you.”
I laughed so hard I snorted, before getting myself back together. “Okay, so just for the class, what did I show you?”
“Leo juggling bananas on roller skates dressed as a clown…”
I raised one eyebrow. “Did the music come through?”
She shook her head.
“Hmmm,” I murmured. “Can I try again?”
She nodded.
I concentrated harder, focusing on the lyrics themselves, until I heard it.
“Don’t fight it, it’s comin’ for you, runnin’ at you.” Izzie was humming under her breath. I did it!
“Best film ever,” Izzie laughed.
“Okay, that’s images and sounds,” Callum interrupted. “What about emotions?”
“You can give it a go, Ava,” Izzie smiled.
I nodded. Something good…
I let my eyes fall closed again, going back into concentration mode. I let myself fill with desire, need.
Izzie’s gasp told me it worked.
I opened one eye to look in her direction, only to see that she was a little flushed and her heart rate had picked up. The look on Leo’s face said he knew just how Izzie felt.
“Time and a place, Ava.” Izzie’s voice was breathless.
The penny finally dropped; my four boys worked out what I was doing.
“It worked then,” I smirked.
She nodded. “Oh yeah, it worked.”
“Neat trick, Ava,” Oscar purred in my head. “I wonder if it does work on us?”
I raised one eyebrow in his direction. “I assume it would, but it would be tricky to know for sure, especially with you.”
He smirked, drawing attention from around the room.
“I think Ava should try and push something to multiple people, so us four,” his smirk just got deeper. “We’ll all just have to slam our blocks down so it definitely can’t come through the mind link.”
He waited for Callum, Noah and Theo to agree before swapping back to the mind link. “Make it dirty, baby girl. Show us what you really, really want.”
“Okay!” Izzie’s voice interrupted. “Leo and I are going to go, I don’t want to be in the room when Ava shows you whatever she’s going to show you. Considering what she showed me, I’m guessing yours will be even dirtier.”
I grinned back at her. “Don’t know what you’re talking about.”
She rolled her eyes at me, before grabbing Leo’s hand and basically dragging him out the door.
“Have fun, kids!” I shouted after them. “Don’t do anything I wouldn’t!”
Once the door shut, I turned my attention back to my four boys.
“Are you all ready?” I asked.
They nodded.
“Mind links definitely blocked?”
They nodded again.
“Alright then,” I grinned.
Again, I closed my eyes, making it easier to concentrate. I’m sure I’d be able to do it without closing my eyes soon, but this was only my third attempt.
I found the four of their energy, reaching out to feel the links. I somehow felt that Oscar winced, like I’d hit him. “Oscar? You okay?”
“Yeah I’m good, it just felt like you yanked on my mind.”
The silence in the room was deafening. “Did any of the rest of you feel it?”
“Nope,” they replied in unison.
“Weird… are you okay for me to carry on, Oscar?”
“Yup, it was just unexpected.”
“Okay…”
I reached back out for the tendrils; more gentle this time. Once I had them, I started pushing an image through the link. Oscar might have wanted sexy… but the four of them juggling balls whilst riding unicycles was funnier.
I knew it worked when Callum, Theo and Noah snorted.
Oscar, however… well. I felt a tug on my mind from his tendril, quickly followed by a change in image.
Suddenly, the four of them were naked, and I was in the middle of them, also naked. His image was graphic. He had me on my knees, sucking each of them in turn, then he had me bent over a chair so they could take their turns again.
I snapped the link, opening my eyes again to glare at him.
“I said make it dirty, baby girl,” Oscar laughed.
“Wait,” Noah cut in. “Was the second part Oscar?”
I nodded. “He took control.”
“I wonder if you could have taken it back?” Oscar asked.
I shrugged. “Wanna try?” I smirked.
He nodded, before letting his eyes closed and immediately picking up where he left off.
This time, he had me bent over the back of the sofa whilst he took me from behind and Theo thrust into my mouth. I snagged the reins from him, changing the image so I was straddling Oscar, Noah was taking my ass and Theo was in my mouth.
“Hey, I feel left out!” Callum shouted.
I giggled, before changing the image again so my hand was stroking his length, working him towards a finish across my chest.
“That’s better,” he growled.
Oscar took back control, changing up everyone’s positions. Now, he had Callum going down on me, his mouth on my left breast, Theo’s on my right, and Noah kissing me whilst his hands ran up and down my body.
“Okay!” my voice was breathless as I snapped the connection. “That’s enough of that. We proved it works.”
“Oh but baby girl, don’t you want to reenact that?” Oscar’s voice was low, sensual.
“Of course I do!” I growled.
So we did.
