“You need to accept him, Courtney.” Added with a smile, and strolled past them. “I need to take my bath. I stink so much, you know.”
“Yeah, you sure do.” Larcade covered his nose with the tip of his left fingers. “Be quick, Wendy. This place reeks.”
Courtney laughed at his reaction, and I joined her, too.
I raised the middle finger at Larcade as I ran up the stairs to my room in excitement.
The Twilight Springs is full of werewolves who are free spirited and have gathered together from all over the world to live a happy life away from the clans.
They do not belong to a pack, but they choose to live their lives without following the rules of a pack.
It is like a countryside out of a city but in a forest full of wolves and beautiful branches and trees.
Lakes and rivers shine like the moon at night.
Fairies and butterflies live among us and because of them, our surroundings are like paradise.
Paradise, to me, feels like a place where everything is shiny and buzzing with lights, peaceful and perfect.
Picture soft white sand beneath your feet, warm, gentle waves rolling onto the shore, and the ocean stretching out endlessly in shades of blue and turquoise.
The air is fresh, carrying the faint scent of tropical flowers and saltwater, while palm trees sway lazily overhead, casting cool shadows.
In this paradise, time seems to slow down. There’s no rush, no noise-just the sound of waves, birds singing, and the breeze rustling through the trees.
The sun feels warm on your skin, but there’s always a gentle breeze to keep you comfortable. You could spend hours just sitting by the water, feeling completely at peace and connected with nature.
It’s a place where the beauty of everything around you makes you feel calm and happy, like the world is far away, and all that matters is the moment you’re in.
And at night, I enjoy watching fairies flying all over the place and lightening up the trees and the rivers.
In the daytime, it is fantastic, just like spring. I believe that’s why they called it Twilight Springs.
When my grandfather brought me here four years ago, I adapted to everyone and didn’t want to leave here anymore but to stay here forever.
It became a situation where my step-brothers wouldn’t find me.
I met Courtney Diamond when I moved here and, like I said earlier, she became my best friend and her grandma was my neighbor.
Larcade Howlmoon is Courtney’s mate. He is also my best friend.
Larcade Howlmoon has a charming, boy-next-door kind of look. He’s from a wealthy family but doesn’t act like it and wants a normal life like everyone else.
He’s got dark hair, usually styled neatly, but with just enough mess to give him an easy, laid-back vibe. His brown eyes are striking, deep, and expressive, the kind that seem to carry both warmth and mystery, drawing you in without him even trying.
His features are sharp yet soft at the same time-defined cheekbones, a strong jawline, and a smile that’s equal parts sweet and mischievous. He carries himself confidently but with a natural, approachable energy, making him feel down-to-earth even with his polished looks.
There’s something cool about him, but also relatable, like someone you’d want to spend time with.
He lightens up my mood and treats me like an equal.
Our first encounter was when he saw me sitting outside my house drowning in my sorrows on a rainy day and offered me an umbrella.
We became friends after I met Courtney, who then introduced him to me as her best friend.
Courtney’s the girl who catches your eye without even trying.
Her long ginger hair is the first thing you notice, cascading down her back in soft, natural waves that glow in the sunlight, like strands of copper and gold. It’s the hair that looks effortless but stunning, almost as if it’s part of her charm.
Her face is delicate, like a perfect doll-smooth skin, high cheekbones, and full lips that give her a soft, timeless beauty.
But unlike a doll, her honey eyes are so human, so alive. They’re a warm shade, full of depth and emotion, and when she looks at you, it’s like she sees straight through to your soul. There’s something gentle yet captivating about her, as if she’s both perfect and completely real at the same time.
Even though she’s beautiful, there’s nothing intimidating about her. She feels approachable, someone who has this quiet grace, but you can tell there’s more behind those eyes-a depth that makes her more than just her looks. It’s like she’s living proof that you can be strikingly beautiful and still feel entirely human, grounded, and real.
And because of these two, I have been able to live for the past four years without being lonely.
They made my life worthwhile and never questioned me about something I wasn’t comfortable with.
Courtney and Larcade have been best friends for a long time before I came into the picture, but because Courtney feels inferior as an Omega, she refused to admit her feelings for Larcade because he’s an alpha, and kept it hidden.
Until they both discovered they were mates. Courtney couldn’t get Larcade out of her mind.
Larcade was excited about the news and has always wanted to mate with Courtney, since he also has unrequited feelings for her, too.
Yet, she hesitated.
I know the feeling of loving someone from the shadows for so long and then, unexpectedly; you found out he belongs to you.
He is your mate.
But, because you don’t want your friendship to ruin the relationship the both of you have, you are hesitant to move forward because you are uncertain about the future.
She is terrified of the outcome of their relationship because she doesn’t want to lose him.
I understand where she is coming, and I assured her that her friendship with Larcade will never change just because she is an Omega and he is an Alpha.
He will always love her.
I hope she frees her mindset and walks forward into the future with Larcade. She truly loves him, unlike me, who can’t love anymore.
I got to my room, took off the blanket, and had a warm bath.
I got out of my bathroom with pink flowers and pink lights. I walked barefoot into my room, wrapped myself around with a pink towel and rubbed my short white towel on my hair to dry the water off.
I could hear loud noises from Courtney and Larcade throwing stuff around downstairs. I guess they’ve gotten into an argument again, I thought, as I laughed a little.
This place is my house but they come in and live in it too. I guess, to keep me company since they love my house as their resting place as well.
My house is a cozy place set right in the middle of paradise.
The house is a mix of modern and classic, with enormous windows that let in lots of sunlight and give you amazing views of the ocean and the trees all around.
