Dimitri’s POV
At 6 am, I and Louis head back to the pack to prepare for the meeting,
But we stopped at the clinic to check on our Men who were injured,
They are all asleep, and I felt relieved knowing they are all okay.
I discussed with Collins, who is one of the doctors treating the Men.
They were injured by an explosion that contained Wolfsbane, Silver, Iron and so other materials we haven’t recognized yet, so treat them accordingly, I said.
Yes, we’ve smelt the wolfsbane on them, it has gotten into their Bloodstream through the wound, he replied.
And we’ve given them Wolf’s Claw Root Herb to stop the effect of the wolfsbane, he explained.
And we’ve also applied Dragon’s Breath herbs on their wounds for healing of the wounds, he added.
I nod my head in understand, that’s good then.
After the discussion, I and Louis took our leave and head back to the pack house,
We’d better take a nap before the arrival of the councils, I said.
Yeah, we should, Louis responded.

I groaned as the sun that slipped through the curtain flashes to into my eyes,
It’s sunrise already.
They must have been waiting for me, I muffled.
* I stepped into the shower and took my bath, then shove in my clothes and stepped out.*
Warriors from our Ally packs have already arrived,
I met Louis at the entrance of the pack hall,
We both stepped into the hall where Alphas and Betas are already assembled.
I spotted Alpha Damien and his Beta also.
Then just as I am about to take my sit, the Alpha Ethan of Embermoon Pack stepped in to hall, followed closely behind him is his Beta.
Alpha Damien growl as he sight them, but I ignored him.
How many of our Ally packs sent in men, I asked Louis who was sitting beside me.
Three packs, he responded.
The Shadowwalker pack and Dawnrunner pack sent 50 men each while the Lunarstrike Clan sent 30 men, he added
I position 10 each at our borders, the rest are inside the training yard, he concluded.
Alright, thank you Louis for always having my back, I said.
After about 20 minutes of waiting,
Some other Alphas and Betas also came in.
Representative from 20 packs are in the hall.
I stood up and start addressing them.

I’m sure we all know about the ongoing battle between the Twilight Fang Pack, the Embermoon pack and the rogues over the territorial right of the Ancient Forest between the southern border of Twilight Fang Pack and Northern Border of Embermoon Pack.
And also there was an attack at my pack yesterday night.
The fight is not a fight between two packs, it is now a fight between our kind and the rogues, I said.
What did I have to do with us, I thought you, as the most powerful Lycan King shouldn’t have problem dealing with your own mess without involving the entire Werewolf Kingdom, Alpha Roderick of Nightstalker Tribe, said with sarcasm feeling his voice.
So because the rogues attacked you, you want all Werewolf Kingdom to start fighting with you. He added with a smirk at the corner of his lips.
While some others burst into laughter and murmur took up the room.
Quiet, I roared.
The murmurs stopped as everyone focus their attention on me.
I didn’t call an emergency meeting for a joke, I snapped.
I’ve called this meeting before the attack yesterday night which was supposed to take place tomorrow at the Twilight Fang Pack, but i changed my mind due to what i discovered yesterday. I said.
So will you please let’s focus and tackle this as one. I added
Some men responded nodding, while some frown their faces.
So for the past 2 weeks, I have my men to find out about the reason why the rogues are so keen on taking over the ancient forest, I continued while everyone listened attentively.
And I found out, they intend to be trading it off to some group of hunters who are funding the fight, I landed.
There eyes became widening, including Alpha Roderick as they see a looming threat hanging over their head about to drop.
But the rogues are known not to be in order and go against each other, how come they are being coordinated, Alpha Kael of Stormbringer tribe asked.
Well there is an old rogue called Zeus, he is the one that wants to take control and be trading it off, I responded.
So he gets funding from the hunters get weapons and contracted more rogues hence they kept growing in number despite the attacks on them.
They are basically working for money, I added.
I ordered Louis to get me the explosive materials remnant we had gathered yesterday.
I spread it open for them to see .
They now have explosives as part of their weapon.
And these are some of the materials they used in making it.
The smell of Wolfsbane filled the air.
Isn’t that wolfsbane, Alpha Damien asked.
Yes it is, I responded.
Apparently they had filled the explosive with wolfsbane, I added.
Then we don’t have the time to joke around, Alpha Elara of Moonblade Clan said.
Yes we don’t, I responded.
So what do you suggest we do? She asked.
We need more men and weapons,
We need to capture Zeus, and find out who the hunters are, because if we kill off all the rogues the hunters will not stop until they get what they want,
So they can get the Silverwood Trees, I landed.
So what about the Silverwood Trees territorial right, Alpha Ethan Of Embermoon Pack asked.
Alpha Damien growled loudly.
Let us handle the rogues first, we come back to the territorial right, I responded.
Okay then, he responded.
They sprang into action immediately,
Stating what they would do to support the fight.
I told Louis to get their names and what they would be dropping on a note..
He stood up immediately and get the list.
After about 3 hour of discussion,
More Alphas and Betas across the Werewolf Kingdom had arrived and they were briefed by their close allies.
Some spoke for their close allies who couldn’t make it due to distance.
And messages were sent out to the packs who couldn’t come and have no one to speak for them.
The other end of the hall have been set with food.
By now everyone must have been starving.
We should grab something to eat then we would come back.
We all stood and went to the table filled with varieties of meals.
I spotted Kate who is actively involved in helping in arranging the table,
She was organizing everything according.
As I sat down eating,
I saw Alpha Damien and his Beta talking to Kate.
A disdain look on her face,
And Alpha Damien holding her, his grip so tight in her arm
I could sense something isn’t right.
Really won’t you do something, Drey said.
Wh-what , she is safe that’s her father, I responded.
I’m sure you are not a fool and could sense, she doesn’t feel okay, Drey retorted.
So what did you want me to do now, I asked.
Go there and save her, he snapped.
I stood up, to avoid any further drama from Drey as I need to put him under control by all means today, and if putting a fake smile just for a few minute would calm him then fine.
Is Everything okay here, I said as I approached them.
Alpha Damien loosen his grip suddenly, causing her to stagger, and I supported her with my hands around her waist.
His Beta growled as I wrapped my hand around her waist, which made me looked at him with a frown.
Drey growled in my head, in response to him.
What is going on, I demanded.
Oh I am just checking on her, and see if she is behaving herself, Alpha Damien responded.
And I could see she is fairing well, he added feigning a smile.
But the look on both him and his Beta speaks otherwise.
Of course she is, I responded helding her closer to me.
And the beta kept frowning as if I am holding onto something that belongs to him.
Louis joined in is everything okay, he asked.
Yes everything is fine, I responded to him
Then Alpha Damien and his Beta strode to the feasting table.
But his Beta looked back shooting a gaze at us.
I dropped my arms which I still wrapped around Kate waist,
What was that all about, I asked
Nothing she said, and strode past me and Louis.
I faced Louis, I sensed some mixed emotions, I said.
Everything doesn’t seem to be okay, I added.
Yes I sensed it too, Louis said
And that Beta, he growled when I touched Kate as if I am helding unto what belongs to him, I continued.
And then the last gaze, he shot at us.
Then their must be something they are hiding, and we need to find out, Louis said.
Yeah, I nodded.
Can you see something is off, Drey said.
Something is indeed off, and this made more interested in knowing more about Kate.
Why was she termed a weak Omega when what actually happened is suppression of her Wolf.
And I could remember she looked malnourished on the day of the mating ceremony.
You can only find that out if you get close to her, Drey said.
And besides did you notice our Mate is getting stronger and she smells much like Amelia now, Drey added.
“And then the scent came rushing back, it smells like moonflower which wafts through the air and gives a sense of comfort.”
Well I noticed, I admitted not wanting to spoil Drey’s excitement.
He and Kate’s wolf seems to be bonding
Well right now all we need to do is focus on the battle at hand, I responded.
Then anything else can come after.
