Jaylin took me with him to discuss business.
During the meeting, I was forced to drink a lot.
The CEO of the other party took advantage of the downtime to make inappropriate advances toward me.
Jaylin watched, seemingly indifferent, with no hint of emotion in his eyes.
My skirt was lifted, exposing my long, fair legs, causing the CEO to become visibly excited.
My stomach churned, and I felt nauseous, wanting to leave.
Jaylin grabbed my wrist. “Who said you could leave? This is a billion-dollar deal; if it falls through, will you take the blame?”
I shuddered, feeling as though I had fallen into an icy abyss.
The CEO’s gaze was brazen, as if he wanted to devour me whole.
I felt like prey trapped in a corner, with nowhere to escape.
“Mr. Jaylin, if you want to cooperate, you have to show some sincerity,” he insinuated.
Jaylin shot me a meaningful glance. “Mr. Doyle, is my sincerity not enough?”
I stumbled as I tried to leave, suddenly losing my balance and falling heavily into Jaylin’s arms.
His lips curled into a mocking smirk. “Aren’t you trying to atone? I’m giving you a chance; don’t say I never gave you one.”
In my drunken haze, I felt weak and unable to resist.
The CEO lunged at me like a hungry wolf. “Thank you, Mr. Jaylin, for your generosity. I haven’t played with such a gem in a long time.”
Jaylin spoke lazily, “Mr. Doyle, this is a gift from me to you. Enjoy it!”
I thought he was just trying to scare me, but I didn’t expect him to be serious!
Panic filled my heart, and I pleaded, “Jaylin, please don’t be so cruel to me.”
“If you want my life, I can give it to you!”
Jaylin looked at me with a chilling smile. “But what I want is to make your life a living hell!”
A wave of pain spread through my chest, as if my heart was filled with countless icy needles.
My scalp tingled, and I watched helplessly as the blade of fate descended, completely severing my life.
I heard the sound of fabric tearing, and it felt like I was falling into an endless abyss.
Jaylin leisurely swirled the liquid in his glass, relishing in my embarrassment and helplessness.
Tears rolled down my cheeks, and in a daze, I found myself back in the campus filled with parasol trees.
The youthful, shy boy stood tall and handsome in the crowd, his beautiful peach blossom eyes sparkling with starlight as he smiled.
When he looked at me, his eyes gathered countless stars.
The boy’s affection was impossible to hide.
In my peripheral vision, that tall figure, fueled by thinly veiled anger, approached me.
Jaylin came over and kicked the beast that was trying to take advantage of me away.
I curled up in the corner, shivering like a frightened deer.
The CEO was furious. “Jaylin, are you crazy? Do you still want to cooperate?”
Jaylin’s gaze held the arrogance of someone in power. “A mere billion-dollar deal? If it’s lost, then so be it.”
His tone was dismissive. “There are countless people who want to cooperate with the Reynolds. I wouldn’t even bat an eye at a mere billion.”
He took off his suit jacket and draped it over me, covering my nearly exposed body.
The tears I had held back for so long rushed out uncontrollably.
Jaylin held me tightly in his arms.
His voice was hoarse. “If I lost a billion-dollar deal, how should I punish you?”
