Was I too harsh on him? Oh God. I suddenly had this extreme pang of guilt gnawing at me. Even the warm shower which I had did nothing in calming down what had become of my nerves.
The hurt Luciano felt by my actions was seen through his choice of words. I did not mean to get him that much upset. I just wanted him to realise I did not like seeing the maid sensually rub her fingers around him like that.
Fuck. That stupid maid!
I think I really need to learn how to communicate very well in this marriage and not keep distance with Luciano.
Now he wants to go meet one of his mistresses. This is the second time he is speaking of meeting his mistress for affection and not me.
Oh my God!
I placed a hand on my temples and exhaled deeply. I need to go talk to him.
I quickened my steps across the halls and stumbled upon one of his guard.
“Have you seen Luciano?” I asked him with anxiety written all over my face.
“Yes but he does not want to be disturbed” the guard stated.
“Why? Take me to him” I ordered but to my surprise, the guard refused to do so.
“I am sorry but I can not. He is busy now”
“I am his wife. Take me to wherever he is” I commanded, loosing my patience.
“I am sorry signora but you are not an exception to his order. He stated that he does not want anyone to disturb him. You inclusive” the guard calmly replied before walking away.
My jaws fell to the ground and my blood ran cold.
Wait what!? Luciano really gave those orders?! I am his fucking wife.
So am I now also a disturbance to him? I stood glued to the spot, the guards words still ringing in my head.
What if… what if he really went to meet one of his mistresses as he claimed he would?
I mean this is the first time Luciano has ever given such orders to his men to not let me see him. Did I really hurt him?
Was he that mad at me?
My breathing grew rapid and tears brewed up in my eyes. I fought them back and used the back of my palm to wipe out any traitorous tear drop which had dropped on my cheeks.
Stiffling back my sobs, I walked towards my room.
Hopefully, I will get to see him at dinner and apologise for pushing him away.

The day went by in a blur and the mansion was thrown into darkness once again which spread across the landscape.
I stared at myself through the mirror as my personal maids helped to get me dressed up.
“Make sure to pack my hair so well ok” I instructed Elizabeth.
“Trust me Signora. You will look so ravishing” she smiled. That was the plan.
I wanted to look good tonight. I wanted to look good for Luciano.
And for a good reason too.
Throughout the entire day, I had not set my eyes on him. He literally made sure to avoid me and the guards would not divulge where he was.
I literally combed every corner of the mansion but I did not find him.
We had quite a misunderstanding this morning and I just wanted to set things straight between us.
But first, I wanted to make him realise what he missed by choosing to hang out with those other mistresses of his.
“Do you like the fragrance of this perfume?” Catherine asked, spraying it a little on my palms.
I perceived its scent and it smelled so heavenly. “Yes use this. I want it sprayed all over me” I delightfully said to her.
“Jane make sure you use the red lipstick. It gives off a sensual feeling don’t you think so?” I asked her for her opinion.
“It does. Master will be awestruck when he sees you honestly” she replied back.
I squealed in delight to myself.
Yes he will. He will realise that I am far more beautiful, sexy and seductive than those fucking women he chose to hang out with.
I want him to feel jealous and try to kiss me, wishing I gave myself to him and not those stupid women.
Standing up to my feet, I gazed at my reflection in the mirror, scrutinising what my ladies had done and admiring myself.
“You look so beautiful. Master will really not be able to take his eyes off you” Jane praised me.
Of course. That was the goal. I giggled to myself before facing my ladies. “Has dinner already been set?”
They all nodded in unison.
“Good. Time to make my husband jealous” I glanced at each one of them before flipping my hair across my shoulder and walking towards the door.
I walked with so much elgance and poise, my maids closely following behind me. We passed a couple of maids with laundry equipments in their hands and I sighted the maid who was making sexual advances at Luciano earlier this morning in their midst.
She is the main reason for the discord between I and husband.
She quickly avoided my heated orbs but I was not going to let her get away so easily.
“You, stop” I ordered, blocking her path like a fiery comet.
She immediately downcasted her gaze, gulping heavily.
“What is your name?” I asked with a blunt expression on my face.
“Grace signora” she took a courtesy bow at me.
“Let this be the first and the last time I see you around my husband do you get that?” I spoke with an air of authority.
A look of confusion settled on her features but she dared not speak out.
“I should not..”
“You heard me right did you not?” I snapped at her, not letting her complete her sentence.
“Yes… I did” she replied submissively.
“Good. Leave” I ordered to which she obeyed.
“Let us go” I signalled to my maids who were in shock.
We walked through the hallways until we had reached the edge of the stairs.
I expected to see Luciano sitting down on his chair and waiting for me but the dining area was empty apart from a few number of staffs whom stood at all corners.
I walked down the stairs with my maids, my eyes anxiously searching for Luciano.
But he was no where around.
“Where is Luciano? Won’t he come for dinner?” I asked no one in particular, pulling out a chair and seating on it.
“I am sorry for the unexpected information but Master Luciano went on a business trip today and he will be back the day after tomorrow” a guard came to me and informed me right as I was about eating.
I halted, my lips ajar. How could he do this so suddenly and without informing me himself?
Was he that mad at me that he did not even want to see my face for two entire days?!
Confused, surprised and angered, I dropped the cutleries and abruptly stood up before rushing up the stairs.
