Book:The Clawless Luna Wants Rejection Published:2024-11-1

The return of The Past Vione didn’t escape Usher’s scrutiny. He vividly remembered the events of the past and decided not to miss the opportunity.
Usher realized that The Past Vione would be very sad that night, to the point of doubting their love. So, he didn’t want to take any chances. He had to meet The Past Vione and make sure that their relationship was okay.
Usher reached into his pocket and briefly looked at the half-moon pendant necklace. Then he clasped it firmly before putting it back in his pocket.
Usher waited a moment while he carefully watched the footage from the surveillance cameras scattered throughout the palace. His focus was on the large monitor, then shifted to the smaller screens showing different angles, never losing sight of The Past Vione for a moment.
His body tensed as he saw The Past Vione leaving the office, sobbing. She seemed so tormented and sad. She was in such pain that guilt tore at Usher’s heart.
Usher felt unable to watch the surveillance footage any longer. He closed his eyes and clenched his fists with all his might. He tried to stifle a sob, but warmth welled up in his eyes.
Tears of regret and guilt flowed uncontrollably from Usher’s eyes. He bowed his head. His hands remained on the table and he cursed himself repeatedly.
“Forgive me, Vione.”
The urge to meet The Past Vione surged uncontrollably. But Usher had to restrain himself for a moment. He couldn’t act impulsively and had to make sure that his movements went unnoticed by anyone, including the two guards stationed outside Vione’s room.
Still, Usher’s attention wasn’t just focused on guarding Vione’s room; it went beyond that. He vividly remembered how Mireya had managed to trap Vione in the past, using the footage from the surveillance cameras along the corridor.
The safest option Usher had now was to use the secret passage that led directly to Vione’s room. Of course, it was connected to the rescue system that prioritized the Alpha’s family. But he had never imagined that he would use this rescue system to meet his own Luna.
Another thing Usher was grateful for was the fact that the Alpha and Luna’s room had special surveillance cameras. Their existence came with highly advanced technology, but couldn’t be accessed by Berg due to the need to maintain Alpha and Luna’s privacy.
Thanks to the presence of these surveillance cameras, Usher was able to determine the right time to meet The Past Vione. At least when The Past Vione wasn’t near the connecting room. The secret door was exactly in the connecting room, near the door of Vione’s room.
Usher took a deep breath as he touched the fingerprint sensor and the wall opened. He stepped out and the wall quickly closed behind him.
Usher’s eyes swept the connecting room for a moment before he moved. He entered the actual part of Vione’s room and found its owner moaning in bed.
Usher approached hastily and gently stroked Vione’s cheek, then whispered softly, “Vione.
The Past Vione woke up a moment later, confusion washed over her. Usher’s presence was something she had never expected, especially after their argument earlier.
But it wasn’t only Usher’s presence that confused The Past Vione, it was also his behavior that made her curious even more. Usher was so kind to her. His manner was gentle and comforting. Just like before, just like before Mireya had come between them.
The Past Vione became even more confused when Usher apologized to her and expressed his love. She was stunned and all the question marks in her head disappeared in an instant.
“I love you too, Usher. I love you so much.”
A sense of relief washed over Usher, making him feel calmer. He had successfully soothed The Past Vione’s grief, and now it was time to carry out the plan he had devised from the beginning.
Usher handed The Past Vione the half-moon pendant necklace. He placed it around her neck and said, “I want you to wear this always. Never take it off, no matter what happens.” Then he noticed that The Past Vione’s gaze was focused on the necklace he was also wearing. “You’re right. I’m wearing it too.”
Happiness sparkled in The Past Vione’s eyes. It seemed as if she had never imagined that Usher would be so kind to her after the heated argument they had gone through.
All the sadness vanished completely. It was replaced by an unimaginable happiness. Even then, The Past Vione briefly heard her wolf spirit say. Usher always loves you, Vione. Always.
The Past Vione smiled and looked into Usher’s eyes. Then she realized that for the umpteenth time she had fallen for Usher’s charm. She was in love with Usher again.
The Past Vione’s admiration for Usher was interrupted by a fleeting, unclear memory. A faint furrow appeared on her forehead as she expressed a familiar feeling she was experiencing. Usher’s eyes and the half-moon pendant necklace he wore reminded her of a past event when they were children and nearly drowned in a lake.
“Now that I think about it, your eyes resemble the man’s.”
Usher froze, especially since The Past Vione had clearly stated that the man who had saved them before had also worn a similar necklace. So, he quickly changed the subject. He didn’t want to risk The Past Vione suspecting him. Besides, there was still one important thing he had to tell The Past Vione, something that was more important than anything else.
Therefore, Usher redirected The Past Vione’s focus in a very precise way, a way that also succeeded in distracting himself. Their lips met in a kiss that engulfed them. They kissed passionately and everything flowed so naturally.
Moments later, their clothes were removed. Usher and The Past Vione’s bodies became naked, then they embraced each other with pure passion. They worshipped each other, and Usher was grateful that some of his consciousness remained.
Usher took a deep breath. His face hardened as The Past Vione’s warmth enveloped him. Then he spoke. “Promise me, Vione.” He kissed The Past Vione’s cheek, then moved to her ear. “Whatever happens, Vione. Promise me.” He took both of The Past Vione’s hands, and their fingers intertwined. “Promise me you’ll never leave me. No matter what happens, promise me you’ll stay by my side. No matter how foolish and disappointing I may be, please, never leave my side.”
The Past Vione writhed. Each thrust made her body sway in the waves of ecstasy. Then she clenched the sheets as the waves of passion continued to wash over her. “I promise, Usher.”
