Clarissa’s POV
I felt my heart shatter. He left. He really left. He didn’t even care and simply walked out.
I was in pain. My arms were soaked with tears from my eyes and the puddle on the floor.
He was a monster. A weak willed man that couldn’t stand up for his mate.
What was I even doing? I should have known that he would never chose me. He was to arrogant to do…
I heard a clicking sound and the door creaked open again.
I looked up and saw Lorenzo walking towards me.
“Get up, Clarissa.”
I beat his hands away.
“Leave me alone! Don’t touch me.”
“Get off the floor.”
He tried to touch me again but I smacked his hand away.
“Leave! I don’t want to see you! You are a horrible person!”
I heard him grunt in anger and I immediately felt his hands wrap around my waist and he pulled me up witu force.
“I won’t have you on the floor.”
He was still holding on to me and I began a cat fight with him.
“Stay away from me! Don’t touch me!”
My claws were out and I scratched and ripped his shirt.
“Clarissa…”
“I don’t want to…”
“Rissa, listen to me!”
He grabbed me and pinned me against the wall.
I fell silent as his dark eyes fixed themselves on me. His face was darkened and I was filled with fear.
I whimpered and cowered and saw the state of his shirt.
It was in shreds and I could see his muscular torso from underneath.
“Do it, Lorenzo! Hit me! Yell at me! Reject me!”
He grabbed my neck and the words disappeared from my mouth again. His eyes stared at me intensely. My body went stiff and all I could do was cry.
“Why don’t you love me? What will make me deserving of your love? I know that you don’t love Erica. I see it in the way you act around her. Your heart doesn’t belong to her. Why won’t you give it to me?”
He took a deep breath and looked away from a while. His hold on my neck eased up and his two hands were now on the wall behind me.
“It’s compli…”
“It’s not complicated, Lorenzo. You don’t love her. And when you look at me, I see that you love me. But you won’t accept that you do. You deny those feelings like a coward and it hurts.”
He was silent and couldn’t say anything. His silence slashed my heart. I had told him the bare truth but he was still too scared to accept it.
I pushed him away and went back to the breakfast that I was making.
His silence made tears roll down my heart. Was he really not going to admit his feelings for me?
I poured my fresh pancake batter in the frying pan and stared at it.
“I love you, Lorenzo. I did all this for you. I know that I am not as rich and relevant as Erica but I love you and I’m trying to prove that I’m just as valuable as her. If you really don’t feel the same way about me, tell me and let’s end it all. I can’t keep being a pawn in little game of yours. You can’t keep me as a side piece everytime you want sexual relief. I need you to make a choice. Good or bad, I’ll take either. I just don’t want to be trapped in a loop.”
He still stood there watching me and another tear fell from my eyes.
I flipped the pancake over and set the table.
“What are you doing?” He asked he still hadn’t moved from his position at the wall.
“Making breakfast. I was hoping that we could share one together. If you want to leave, that’s fine, but I’d rather you eat first.”
I didn’t look at him as I spoke. I set the table and finally finished making the stack of steaming pancakes.
I placed it on the table with the eggs and got some juice from my fridge.
As I was looking for it, I felt a hand circle my waist.
“Lor…”
He turned me around and our eyes met. His expression was broken and sad. His eyes lost their imposing glare and he looked like a puppy.
“Clarissa, I…”
He paused and I turned my head away and pushed his away.
“You what, Lorenzo?”
I folded my arms and my house coat caught my eyes. I grabbed and was about to put it on but Lorenzo stopped me.
“No. Don’t…don’t wear it.”
His voice was not a command. His words were soft and I lowered my hands.
“I…I think you look nice it. I love it on you.
His words made me feel giddy and I blushed lightly. I wasn’t what I wanted him to say but it was nice all the same.
“Thank you.”
My voice was coarse and croaky and my body language was still unreceptive.
He took a step towards me and I moved uncomfortably.
“I’m…I’m sorry, I treated you like that. I thought that I could hide my true feelings towards you. I thought that by acting that way, I could make them go away but they only became stronger.”
He took a deep breath and grabbed my biceps gently with his arms and he stared at me softly.
“I love you, Rissa. I do.”
My stomach churned. I took his hands off my biceps and stepped backward.
“Do you mean it or are you just saying that because you want to keep sleeping with me? I need the truth, Lorenzo.”
He took my hands, pulled me close. His eyes stared at me.
He said nothing and placed me on the dining table, shifting our breakfast out of the way. We were now at each other’s eye level.
“That is the truth. It has always been the truth and you know it. I love you.”
They silence hung between us. Why did I feel so skeptical all of a sudden?
“What about Erica?”
“Like I said, it’s complicated. I love you, Rissa, but I need time. Please.”
He leaned in towards me, our lips were barely inches away from each other.
“I’ll give you all the time you need,” I whispered back.
Our lips touched and held. My heart was filled with butterflies and my body tingled.
I could feel my toes curling as his hands savoured my skin and he pulled me close to his warm body.
My hands found his chest and I ripped his shirt off him. It was already in shreds.
His warm torso made my skin erupt in flames of desire.
His lips left my lips and trailed kisses down to my neck and cleavage.
“Ahhhhhnn! Lorenzo!”
His hands had slid up my thigh and teased my damp underwear.
“Rissa…”
His deep and husky voice was soft and sweet in my ears. Every word was soaked in desire.
I felt his hands unhook my bra and my breasts came into full view.
He kissed each nipple and shivers rippled my spine.
My fingers ran through his hair and his fingers teased my soaking bud.
“Lorenzo… ahhhhhnn!… We…we have to have… ahhhhhnn!… breakfast…”
He stopped kissing me and stared me deep in the eyes. My face was red and my lips were still rounded as he teased my sweet spots with his fingers.
“I’d rather have you, Rissa.”
He tore my panties off and pulled me close. His cock was warm on my thigh, inches away from my pussy.
“Lorenzo…Ahhhhhhnnn!!…”
