Tilda noticed she wasn’t speaking and followed her gaze.
“Who is it?”
“I don’t know,” Rosalind replied, feeling a bit puzzled.
There was only one patient in this ward, herself, so the doctor must have come specifically to see her. But… it was strange that he didn’t come in, just stood sneakily at the door, and left immediately after making eye contact with her.
“Maybe he thinks you’re too beautiful and wants to pursue you?”
“You’re overthinking it,” Rosalind sighed, not telling Tilda about her “fantasy” of Ulric coming to rescue her.
The more she thought about it, the more impossible it seemed-less than a 1% chance.
“I’ve told my brother about your plans to leave the country! He’ll take good care of us! He’s been single for so many years; don’t tell me you don’t know why.”
“…” Of course, Rosalind knew.
But she had made her stance very clear; as for Nie Zhisen’s intentions, she couldn’t control them.

Ulric returned to the W Group headquarters and hadn’t even had a chance to meet with the shareholders when Johnny rushed up to him.
“You actually came back to the company!” He blurted out, then realized something was off and quickly corrected himself, “No, you actually announced your marriage, and I don’t even know who your bride is!”
When he saw the news, he thought it was fake until Ulric’s parents called him to ask who the woman marrying Ulric was. Only then did Johnny realize it was true!
But… how would he know who Ulric was marrying!
“It’s not important,” Ulric said, his head buried in his work, flipping through documents page by page, completely unaffected by Johnny.
Seeing this, Johnny anxiously snatched the papers from Ulric’s hands!
“I thought we were brothers, and you didn’t even tell me you were getting married?” He furrowed his thick brows and questioned word by word, “Is it still that… that Rosalind? You haven’t been in contact for four years and suddenly got back together?”
As soon as the name Rosalind was mentioned, Ulric’s fingers visibly paused.
He finally looked up and met Johnny’s gaze.
“Rosalind and I are no longer involved.”
“Not her?!” Johnny was even more shocked than before. Mainly because he couldn’t think of anyone else! Over the years, Ulric had become even more of a workaholic than before, with no opportunities for socializing with women. There wasn’t even a female mosquito around him. If there was one thing Johnny was sure of, it was this. “Then it can’t be Xia-”
“It will never be her.”
Ulric interrupted coldly and glanced at the office door. “It’s work hours now. Anything else?”
The hint to leave was very clear.
But Johnny wasn’t someone who would leave without answers.
“Of course there’s something! As a shareholder of W Group, I have the right to know who your bride is! After all, if she’s someone with a bad reputation, it could affect the company’s future.”
Johnny had gotten smarter over the years, learning to use company matters as a pretext to ask personal questions.
“Then you can sell your shares.”
Ulric said lightly without a hint of hesitation.
Hearing this, Johnny laughed instead. “Ulric, just by saying that, I’m 100% sure you’re marrying Rosalind! You can’t fool me.”
