“Alright,” Marshall Malone and the other two nodded quickly.
Before long, Leo found the exit, which was inside a room.
Returning to where Marshall Malone and the others were, Leo said directly, “I found the exit. There’s a railcar inside; we don’t have to walk out.”
Marshall Malone and the others were overjoyed and followed Leo to the exit.
However, after taking only a few steps, they suddenly heard a cold snort from behind: “Leaving? Hand over the treasure first.”
Turning around, Leo and his companions were taken aback.
The newcomers were James from the Shield Agency and two of his subordinates.
“You go ahead; I’ll cover the rear,” Leo instructed in a low voice.
“Be careful,” Marshall Malone and the others nodded. They knew they couldn’t help Leo and would only be a burden if they stayed.
James watched Marshall Malone and the others leave without stopping them, merely curling his lips. He wasn’t interested in the injured trio; his intuition told him that the treasure was with Leo.
Once Marshall Malone and the others had safely left, Leo sneered, “You guys are really persistent. I’m curious, how did you find us?”
James replied smugly, “Poor Atrarian, you can’t imagine the tracking skills of the Shield Agency.”
Leo shrugged, “Even if you found us, we didn’t find the treasure. You came here for nothing.”
James’s face darkened, “Atrarian friend, we’re all smart people here. No need to pretend.”
“I don’t understand what you’re saying. Anyway, I didn’t find any treasure,” Leo continued to feign ignorance to buy time.
This way, Marshall Malone and the others could get further away, and he could recover some strength and Spiritual Power.
James grew irritated, “Enough! Don’t think you can fool me. Look at the ground; there are fresh marks from bags and boxes being dragged. If that’s not treasure, what is it?”
Leo said coldly, “So what if the treasure is with me? Do you have what it takes to snatch it?”
James laughed maniacally, “Atrarian boy, stop bluffing. Judging by your injured companions, you must have fought the Esper guarding the treasure. You can’t be in good shape either.”
Leo smirked, “I still have some strength left. You can try me. Oh, by the way, why are there only three of you? Where are the other five?”
“Three of us are enough to handle you!” James said arrogantly.
“Is that so?” Leo stretched lazily, “Let’s see then.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he vanished mysteriously.
James and his two subordinates were shocked.
Suddenly, a sinister laugh echoed from behind them.
Not good!
James quickly turned around.
But what he saw were his two subordinates with holes in their foreheads, their eyes lifeless as they collapsed in front of him.
Damn it!
James’s eyes turned blood-red as he stared at Leo.
Leo smiled calmly at him, “Now it’s one-on-one. Are you still confident?”
James roared in anger, “Die, kid! Dark Storm!”
Immediately, a dark storm formed in front of James, filled with lethal energy and coldness, rushing towards Leo.
Leo quickly summoned a Talisman.
In an instant, a giant flame dragon roared towards the Dark Storm with scorching heat.
After a thunderous clash, both the flame dragon and Dark Storm shattered.
Realizing Leo’s strength, James smiled slyly, “Impressive! How about we split the treasure? No need to fight to the death. Wouldn’t that be better for both of us?”
Leo burst into laughter, “Are you dreaming?”
James gritted his teeth, “Fine! If you don’t know what’s good for you, don’t blame me for sending you to hell!”
Leo’s lips curled into a cold smile as he disappeared again.
While James was on high alert for another attack, the entire cave suddenly shook violently. Dirt and rocks began to fall.
Then, with a loud crash, waves of earth surged from all directions towards James.
Not good!
Terrified, James quickly formed a protective shield around himself using his Esper abilities.
The earth waves slammed into the shield, making James see stars and almost vomit blood.
As he struggled to maintain his shield, another massive crash caused the entire cave to collapse.
With a final scream, James’s shield shattered, and he died miserably underground.
The lake water rippled gently under the cold moonlight, shimmering beautifully.
Not far from the eastern shore stood a small mountain with an ancient lakeside villa on top.
Behind the villa was a beautiful private garden.
In the center of the garden stood an elegant artificial hill that added a touch of sophistication to the scenery.
In the dead of night, the artificial hill began to tremble slightly.
Soon after, a large section of rock slid aside, revealing a spacious tunnel inside.
Three people emerged from the tunnel: Marshall Malone, Ripley, and Bonnie Hale.
Supporting each other, they looked around in astonishment.
None of them had expected the tunnel’s exit to lead to such a beautiful villa.
At that moment, hurried footsteps echoed from within the tunnel.
Startled, Marshall Malone and the others turned around just in time to see someone emerge from the tunnel.
It was none other than Leo.
Marshall Malone exclaimed happily, “We were worried about you! What happened to James?”
Leo smiled, “He’s now resting permanently underground.”
Ripley cheered excitedly, “Leo, you’re amazing!”
Leo grinned, “It’s settled. Let’s get out of here.”
Leo found an off-road vehicle in the villa and drove Marshall Malone and the others straight to Latzburg.
Upon arriving in Latzburg, Leo contacted Fire Rose to arrange care for Marshall Malone and his companions.
With the treasure hunt concluded and being abroad already, Leo decided to take a trip to Las Vegas for some fun.
McCarran International Airport is one of the busiest international airports in the world.
In the early morning, giant planes roared as they took off and landed, bringing in thousands of tourists from around the globe.
Leo leisurely walked out of the terminal.
