To their astonishment, at their feet, several meters below, the cave floor was covered with thousands of large and sturdy canvas bags, with heaps of rusty iron boxes in the middle.
Leo leaped down.
Marshall Malone and the other two followed closely, their faces unable to hide their anticipation and joy.
Reaching a canvas bag, Leo drew out Purple Radiance and slashed it open.
With a tearing sound, the bag was cut open, and dazzling golden light shot out…
The huge canvas bag was filled with large gold bricks!
Marshall Malone and the others were stunned for a moment before they too frantically drew their knives and slashed open other canvas bags.
The other bags were also filled with large gold bricks, shining with an enchanting glow.
Leo couldn’t help but laugh, “We’ve finally found the treasure.”
Marshall Malone and the others cheered. Such a massive fortune was enough to rival a nation’s wealth; even the calmest person would go mad over it!
After the initial excitement, Leo calmed down and said, “You guys start counting. I’ll check what’s inside those iron boxes.”
“Okay,” Marshall Malone and the others nodded and dispersed.
Leo walked towards the iron boxes in the center. They were all padlocked but heavily rusted. With a gentle twist, the locks broke.
Opening a few boxes, Leo was again taken aback.
Some boxes contained large gemstones; others held antiques; still others were filled with jewelry-long pearl necklaces, large gemstone rings, even luxurious golden crowns.
Back then, The Iron Guard had swept through half of Europe. Could they have gathered half of Europe’s wealth here?
At this moment, Marshall Malone and the others came over. Seeing the glittering treasures, they gasped in shock.
Leo calmed down again and asked, “How many bags are there?”
Marshall Malone replied, “About four thousand five hundred canvas bags. However, only a small half contain gold, less than a thousand bags.”
“Only a small half? What’s in the majority?”
“Silver,” Ripley interjected. “They’re all large silver ingots. Additionally, there are over four hundred bags of rare metals like titanium, tungsten, and platinum.”
Leo continued to ask, “Have you estimated how many tons of gold and silver there are?”
Marshall Malone replied, “Approximately over three thousand tons of gold and seven to eight thousand tons of silver. The rare metals are about a thousand tons.”
Leo marveled, “Just these precious metals alone are worth nearly two hundred billion dollars today. And these diamonds, antiques, and jewelry we see here are worth even more. It seems The Reich’s Treasure is ultimately worth over a trillion dollars.”
“A trillion!” Marshall Malone and the others were stunned by the enormous figure, swallowing hard.
Leo suddenly remembered something: “Right, wasn’t there a prophecy that said the treasure included a special item, the sacred gun?”
At Leo’s words, Marshall Malone and the others immediately recalled Ecclesia’s sacred objects.
Ripley speculated, “If there really is a sacred gun, such a holy item would definitely be stored separately and not mixed with other things.”
Leo nodded and said, “And it should be placed in the most conspicuous spot.”
He looked at the towering iron boxes and pointed to the top: “Let’s go up and take a look.”
The four of them swiftly climbed to the top of the iron boxes.
At the top, they saw a long, ornate box lying quietly atop the massive wealth.
Their intuition told them that this exquisite box likely contained one of Ecclesia’s three sacred objects-the sacred gun.
Leo approached the box and examined it closely. There was no lock on it; instead, a strange seal with ancient Western symbols was affixed to the box’s opening.
Leo quickly understood that this seal was meant to contain the sacred gun’s powerful holy energy to ensure its safety.
“Why aren’t you opening it?” Marshall Malone and the others came over. Seeing Leo hesitate, they were puzzled.
“Step back,” Leo said solemnly. “The box has a strong seal. I’m going to break it now.”
Marshall Malone and the others didn’t dare be careless and quickly retreated to the edge of the iron boxes.
Leo took a deep breath, gathered his powerful Spiritual Power, and pointed at the seal.
In the next second, a thunderous roar echoed through the cave.
A blinding white light suddenly flashed, emitting a strong Aura.
Marshall Malone and Ripley were startled and quickly stepped in front of Bonnie Hale, summoning a powerful cyclone and a sturdy metal shield.
The Aura struck the cyclone and shield with rolling thunderous sounds, causing Marshall Malone and Ripley’s blood to churn.
Fortunately, the Aura didn’t last long; it soon weakened and dissipated into the vast cave.
Marshall Malone and Ripley breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Leo: “How is it? Did you break the seal?”
“It’s broken. Are you all okay?”
“We’re fine.”
“Then I’ll open it.” Leo cautiously opened the box slowly.
Inside appeared a long gun. Its surface was rusty, looking like scrap metal-far from what Leo had imagined for a sacred object.
Just as Leo hesitated, the long gun emitted a large burst of peaceful and bright holy light that instantly filled the entire cave.
Leo immediately felt that the holy light had an incredibly warm and loving power that brought joy to his body and mind, cleansing all distractions.
Without a doubt, this long gun containing immense energy was one of Ecclesia’s three sacred objects-the sacred gun.
Marshall Malone and the others were also drawn to this miraculous holy light and couldn’t help but come closer.
Leo composed himself and closed the box.
Once the holy light disappeared, that strange feeling vanished as well.
Bonnie Hale suddenly remembered something: “By the way, I heard that since the Middle Ages, this sacred gun had gone missing. How did it end up in The Iron Guard’s hands?”
Marshall Malone thought for a moment and replied: “It must have been seized when The Iron Guard swept through Europe.”
“Then why didn’t The Iron Guard return the sacred gun to Ecclesia?” Bonnie Hale asked in confusion.
Ripley explained: “During World War II, Ecclesia firmly opposed The Iron Guard’s tyranny. Naturally, The Iron Guard wouldn’t return it to Ecclesia.”
Leo put the box containing the sacred gun into his storage bag and said: “Now we need to think about how to move these treasures.”
Leo didn’t store the treasures in his storage bag or void storage talisman because they were too vast to fit.
Leo’s words left Marshall Malone and the others no longer ecstatic but worried instead.
The Reich’s Treasure before them would require over a thousand ten-ton trucks to transport!
