During their exploration, Leo occasionally released his divine sense to assist, hoping to find the treasure in the shortest time possible.
After crossing four or five mountains and checking several valleys and caves, the four found nothing and realized it was already dark.
They chose a sheltered valley to set up camp, conveniently near a small stream for easy water access.
After lighting a roaring bonfire, Bonnie Hale fetched a pot of stream water, and everyone gathered around the fire for warmth while waiting for the water to boil.
After enduring the cold wind for so long, the warmth of the fire made everyone feel cozy and comfortable.
Soon, the water on the bonfire boiled, steam-lifting the lid with a hissing sound.
Bonnie Hale said, “Alright, we can start cooking now. Everyone, take out your ingredients.”
They quickly took out their prepared food from their backpacks-packaged noodles, seasoning packets, canned beef, and more.
Given the current conditions, they could only make do to fill their stomachs.
Before long, the pot emitted the delicious aroma of beef noodles, making the hungry and cold four drool with anticipation.
“Alright, it’s ready. Pass me your food boxes,” Bonnie Hale called out.
Leo and the others quickly handed over their food boxes with lightning speed.
Bonnie Hale smiled and served them hot beef noodles before serving herself.
The four began to devour the beef noodles with great relish.
Just as they were enjoying their meal, Leo’s expression changed. He raised his hand to signal silence.
“What’s wrong?” Marshall Malone asked, puzzled.
“Shh!” Leo signaled for silence again.
Marshall Malone and the others fell silent, holding their beef noodles with confused looks.
Leo slowly stood up, his face stern. “If you don’t want to die, you’d better come out!”
Marshall Malone and the others were shocked and quickly put down their bowls and stood up alertly.
However, all was silent around them except for the howling wind in the valley; there wasn’t even a ghostly shadow in sight.
Marshall Malone and the others looked at Leo in confusion.
Leo ignored them and coldly scanned the surroundings. “Not coming out? Fine. If you don’t appreciate my kindness, I’ll make you come out.”
With that, Leo stomped his foot hard.
Suddenly, seven waves of earth exploded from the ground not far away, revealing seven figures.
These seven people were all dressed in black, with their heads and faces covered, showing only two bright eyes.
Each held a cold, sharp katana.
“Orientian Ninjas!?” Leo squinted his eyes.
Marshall Malone and the others snapped back to reality, both shocked and angry.
The enemy had gotten so close without them noticing. If not for Leo, tonight’s outcome would have been disastrous.
The ninja leader stepped forward and sneered at Leo and the others. “You must be from WONDER. We are from Orientia’s The Sakura Order. Today, none of you will leave.”
“Is that so?” Leo sneered.
The ninja leader waved his hand. “Attack!”
Six ninjas nodded and disappeared into the surrounding air in a flash.
“Be careful,” Leo warned.
Marshall Malone and the others knew how tricky Orientian Ninjas were and immediately became fully alert, their sharp eyes scanning their surroundings constantly.
Suddenly, six sharp arcs of sword energy slashed through the air towards Leo and the others.
These sword energies skimmed close to the ground, kicking up six flying dust dragons, creating an impressive scene.
But to Leo, it was just a minor trick!
He directly used a Talisman.
Instantly, a bolt of lightning roared through the air, shattering two streams of sword energy aimed at Leo before crashing into an empty space.
With a violent explosion, two ninjas were blown out of hiding, dead beyond doubt.
Bonnie Hale moved behind Marshall Malone and Ripley, seemingly not intending to fight.
Marshall Malone shouted angrily, “Orientian bastards, die!”
His eyes flashed gold as he shot out dozens of flying stars, shredding two streams of sword energy into tattered rags before plunging into space.
With a miserable scream, a ninja fell from hiding, riddled with holes from the flying stars-dead.
Ripley was equally fierce. With a long howl, a swirling storm rose before him, swallowing the last two streams of sword energy and grinding them to dust.
The storm then surged forward like a raging dragon, tearing through space and shredding a ninja into countless pieces.
Seeing four ninjas lost in one round left the ninja leader stunned and incredulous.
Leo looked at him with disdain. “I told you, if you don’t leave, you’ll die!”
“Damn it!” The ninja leader cursed and ordered the remaining ninjas, “Kill them!”
As soon as he spoke, countless sharp caltrops and shurikens shot from the surrounding air towards Leo and the others with deadly whistles.
Marshall Malone calmly said, “You all stay back. Watch me.”
With that, he leaped into the air like lightning and clapped his hands together. Golden light flashed brilliantly.
A miraculous thing happened-the murderous caltrops and shurikens suddenly reversed direction and flew back with deadly force.
What followed was a gruesome scene. Two ninjas fell from hiding, screaming in pain as blood spurted from their bodies pierced by caltrops and shurikens.
Seeing this left the ninja leader drenched in cold sweat-these Atrarians were terrifyingly strong!
Without hesitation, he threw a smoke bomb and tried to escape under its cover.
But escaping under Leo’s watch was impossible.
After only a few steps, he felt a tight grip on his neck as a powerful hand lifted him into the air by his throat.
It was Leo who had caught him.
“Trying to run? Is that possible?” Leo sneered at him.
The ninja leader was terrified as he felt death approaching. He struggled desperately but to no avail.
Leo used his divine sense attack, rendering the ninja leader immobile like a lamb awaiting slaughter.
Leo carried him back to Marshall Malone and the others like a dead dog.
Marshall Malone and the others had only seen a flash before Leo disappeared. In an instant, he returned with the ninja leader in tow.
Leo threw him by the bonfire and said with interest, “So, how should we deal with this Orientian Ninja?”
