AKIRA’s POV.
I pace back and forth in the cold, dungeon, my footsteps subconsciously counted by the voice in my head. Days have passed since I was thrown in here, and I’ve lost count of how long I’ve been in this dark hole. The only light comes from a small torch when the guards do their daily round of patrol down here in this hell hole.
I feel helpless and trapped down here, my mind racing with thoughts of escape. But every time I approach the door of my dungeon, I hear the guard’s laughter and mocking comments. They’re too vigilant, too alert. I know I can’t take them on alone.
I stopped pacing and leaned against the wall, my head in my hands. Why did I have to cross Kael? Why did I have to refuse his offer? I know I’m an omega, and I know my place in this pack. But I can’t help feeling like I’m meant for more. Why would all omegas be forced to be breeders? We can stand up for ourselves too.
I think back to my time in the pack, to the moments when I felt alive, when I felt I was making a difference by healing those who were ill. But those moments are now lost. Now, I feel like a prisoner, a tool to be used and discarded by Kael once he gets his healthy pups.
I push myself off the wall and start pacing again. I can’t give up. I have to keep thinking and keep planning. There has to be a way out of this place.
I checked the door, the walls, the floor. There’s no weakness, no hole. I’m trapped, and I know it.
But I refuse to give up. I’ll find a way out, no matter what it takes. I’ll escape, and I’ll make sure Kael or Kaida never see me again.
I continue pacing, my mind racing with thoughts of escape. But deep down, I know I’m just trying to distract myself from the fear that’s growing inside me. Fear of what Kael will do to me, fear of what the future holds.
I force myself to stop pacing and sit down on the floor. I take a deep breath and close my eyes, trying to calm my racing mind. I know I can’t give up. I have to keep fighting, no matter what.
As I sit on the floor, my eyes closed, I hear the sound of footsteps approaching. The door of my dungeon opens, and I sense a human in the doorway. I open my eyes to see Kael standing before me, his green eyes glowing in the dark.
He steps forward, his sweet scent filling the room. “Akira,” he says, his voice low and undeniably seductive. “I see you’re still as stubborn as ever.”
I rise to my feet, my mind racing. “What do you want, Kael?” I ask, trying to keep my voice steady.
He smiles, his white teeth shining in the dark. “I’ve come to offer you a second chance,” he says, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “You see, I’ve been thinking… and I’ve decided that perhaps I was too hasty in my judgment of you.”
I narrow my eyes, unsure of his intentions. “What do you mean?” I ask, my voice cautious yet dripping with curiosity.
He takes another step closer, his eyes on mine. “I mean that I’m willing to give you another chance to be my breeder,” he says, his voice low. “But this time, there will be no refusal. You will accept my offer, or you will suffer the consequences.”
I feel a wave of anger wash over me at his words, but I force myself to remain calm. I know that I must think carefully, and consider my options. I cannot let my anger and rage cloud my judgment.
“I need time to think about it,” I say, trying to ask for time.
Kael’s smile widens. “Very well,” he says. “I will give you one hour to consider my offer. But know this, Akira… if you refuse me again, you will regret it.”
I know that I must think carefully, and consider my options. I cannot let my wish for equality cloud my judgment. But as I stand there, my heart racing, I know that I have no choice. I must accept Kael’s offer, no matter how much it goes against my will.
I take a deep breath and nod my head, trying to appear calm.
“Okay, Kael. I accept your offer. I’ll be your breeder.”
Kael’s face lights up with a smile. “Excellent choice, Akira. I knew you’d see things my way.”
He approaches me his masculine scent filling my nostrils. “Let’s get started right away. We’ll begin the breeding process immediately.”
I try to keep my anger in check as he takes my hand and leads me out of the dungeon. I know I have to play along if I want to survive.
As we walk through the pack’s headquarters, I scan my surroundings with my eyes, searching for any sign of a way out. I notice a few wolves watching us with interest, but none of them seem particularly friendly. They all bowed their heads the minute Kael walked past them.
Kael leads me to a large room filled with comfortable-looking beds and a shelf full of books. “This is our breeding chamber,” he explains, his voice suddenly void of any emotion. “You’ll be staying here until you’re pregnant.”
I try to keep my anger and fear in check as I realize the extent of Kael’s devilish plans. But I know I have to keep playing along if I want to survive.
“Okay, Kael,” I say, trying to sound more submissive than I was. “I’ll do my best to make sure I do as I am told and bear healthy pups.”
Kael gave me a curt nod before handing me over to a group of waiting she-wolves. “Good. I’ll leave you in their care. They’ll make sure you’re comfortable and happy.”
I try to hide my panic as the wolves lead me away, I am determined to find a way out of this hell Kael wanted me to call my life, as soon as possible. I know I have to play along for now, but I’m already searching for a way to escape.
“Wait a minute”. I mumbled as a thought flashed through my mind
