Chapter 68: Matteo

Book:Aurora's Vendetta Published:2024-10-27

Matteo’s POV
I watched her strip, her smokey grey eyes filled with sadness and silent pleas that I wouldn’t listen to. Each time I thought about the lies then remembered how her family tortured my brother and I, rage welled up in me.
“Don’t do this, Matteo. Please, you’ll hurt me.” Her voice was intent with fear which wasn’t directed at me but for me.
I was losing myself slowly to the darkness that called out to me and I had hoped that she would be my light, but she just proved to me that no one needed to be trusted and now I understood why my father hated women.
Scratch that. He was inhumane and that was why Aurora came to the house to seek revenge.
“You won’t tell me how to treat you, Mamacita.” I growled and rose up from the bed, walking slowly to her.
She peered at me, her eyes filled with love and regrets. Those emotions were getting to me but I wasn’t going to show it.
“Alright, I won’t refute your words but you do realise that I’m pregnant and anything you do to me can hurt our child and I.” She whispered softly causing me to squeeze her jaw.
She winced in pain and for a moment I liked it, but when her lips began to quaver and when her palms touched my chest I began to despise myself. No! I couldn’t do this, maybe I could do something else but not her this way.
“Why, Aurora?” I asked, my shoulders drooping in resignation.
Her eyes watered as I slowly took her hands from my body because of what they did to me.
“When my uncle told me how your father killed my parents gruesomely just because my mother didn’t love him in return and went ahead to marry my father, I felt bitter. I wanted you to feel the same pain your father inflicted on my parents then end it all by killing you and your brother.” She confessed, causing my heart to tear apart.
“Then why didn’t you go through with it? I’d have married my enemy without knowing it and this would have caused chaos in the Outfit.” The words slipped out of my mouth causing her eyes to widen.
“You wanted to get married to me?”
“That’s in the past, now, take a nice shower and when I return later in the evening we’ll continue with this.” I said and stormed out of the room then she stopped me.
“Where are you going?” She enquired, her expression filled with sadness.
I shrugged, “You are no longer in the position to know. You’ve lost every right you have as my girlfriend, now make sure that you do as I say and wear something really sexy. Tonight, I won’t spare you.”
She shivered and balled her eyes into fists but she didn’t cry or say anything else which I liked. I’d always liked her courage, but I doubted it would save her from me tonight.
?
I was supposed to be having a meeting with the most important people in the pack but I needed to find a release and somehow I didn’t want it easy.
Aurora was the only one who could give me that release but I couldn’t take her the way I wanted yet because it would hurt her. I wasn’t supposed to have pity on her yet I did because of some stupid feelings that didn’t want to disappear.
I’d arrived at one of the clubs already, and even if it was quite early the groans of some men moaning and slapping sounds didn’t escape my ears.
I snapped my fingers at a young whore who was standing beside the counter and discussing with Caterina. It was surprising to discover that she was still working here even though she was Francesco’s girlfriend.
The whore walked towards me with her head inclined. She looked rather timid then I realised that she was a new worker who might have been brought by our romancer.
“Good morning, Capo.” She greeted me almost inaudibly.
“Go to the first room and prepare yourself.” I ordered without any form of emotion which got her surprised as she might have expected some form of romance from me.
“Yes, Capo.” She replied meekly and did as I said.
I scrutinised the club, my eyes darting from one table to the other. The club was quite empty but it didn’t stop some ‘Johns’ from being a nuisance. A scream emanated from a room then the sound of a slap followed. It caught my attention, getting me pissed because it irritated me when our whores were molested.
I traced the noise to the first room on the down floor and trudged casually towards it, my blood boiling in anticipation. I hoped that the man was really molesting her so that I could unleash my pent up anger on him.
My hands pushed the door ajar eagerly and the sight that greeted me got me heated immediately. On the floor was one of our ‘marys’ on the floor with her clothes torn and her face red and swollen. Her hair was tousled in a way that showed that it had been handled roughly. I could see her cleavages since there was barely any clothing on it and the man who was molesting her all in the name of sex tried to pull himself together.
In two quick strides, I pulled him by the neck and threw him across the other side of the room where he landed with a heavy thud. The whore who was on the floor got up and drew the bedsheets to cover her semi-nudity.
“What makes you think that you can treat her as you please, huh?” I barked as my fingers balled into fists, and I marched towards him, throwing a punch at his face the moment I got to him.
He groaned in pain, holding onto his eyes and forced himself to stand. He could only beg for mercy as he knew better than trying to fight me.
“I just wanted to get off and she was too slow for my liking. She didn’t even know how to go on fours.” He complained like a little child which was quite amusing.
I didn’t want to humor him as I was already irritated. “Get out and never treat any of my workers like that again. Do you hear me?” I fumed, pulling him by the collar of his shirt as he nodded obediently.
I let him go and watched him scamper out of the room. Then I averted my attention back to the lady on the floor.
“What is your name?” I asked.
“Martha,” She replied, clinging tightly to her sheets that she wrapped haphazardly on her chest.
“I’ll talk to Romeo and make sure that you are properly trained. I don’t tolerate sexual harassment even though it’s your job. Understood?”
She nodded incessantly until I thought her head would fall off. “Yes, Capo.”
She scurried out of the room, the hem of the sheets trailing right behind her then I remembered that I asked one of the shores to wait for me. Then I remembered Aurora’s beautiful smile and how her eyes sparked whenever we were together.
I was at a loss of what to do. A woman was waiting for me to do as I pleased with her, but my heart was still with the woman who lied and betrayed me.
I sighed then left the room, making a decision to do what would make me happy.
