Matteo’s POV
The idea of being with her alone in the night made my blood rush. She looked surprised but she masked it in and smirked.
“What do you say?” I asked again as she placed her finger on her forehead in thought.
“I think we should go to a hotel, but what would happen to your car?” She suggested and I nodded. This was my route and the nearest hotel was thirty minutes away and twenty-five if we increased our walking pace.
“Everyone knows better than to touch anything that belongs to me. We would have to walk fast. There’s no hotel nearby,” I informed her and she nodded.
She glanced at her foot and shook her head. “I should have kept my flip-flops in the car as I usually do.”
“Well, there’s nothing we can do about your heels,” I replied and we began to walk together. I’d have walked faster if I was alone, but I had to consider the beautiful woman beside me.
The crickets which hid by the grasses on the road side chirped loudly, giving me a nostalgic feeling. I used to run outside of the house and stay at the bush parts far away from my house anytime my father used me as his punching bag.
Aurora pushed closer to me, and glanced at me with a questioning look. “Why didn’t you ask any of your guards to bring you another car?”
I shrugged, “Because even if I’m the Capo and it’s not wrong for me to do that, I hate being a bother to people. Some of them might be resting right now and the only person I’d have called isn’t feeling strong.”
She slanted a look at me, her furrows raised. “That’s a first. Most men in your position aren’t that considerate. They are very bossy and..” She stopped when she got a hold of herself.
“I’m sorry. I talked too much and I might have insulted you in the process.” She apologised and swung her bag as the night breeze sent her hair flying in several directions.
I stopped walking, dazzled by her wild beauty. She halted on her steps when she noticed that I wasn’t walking beside her anymore.
“What’s the problem?” She asked softly.
I closed the distance between us and tucked her straying hair behind her ears.
“There’s no problem. Let’s go on,” I said and we resumed walking.
I’d been angry before, some of the anger wasn’t directed at her but to Alessio who was all over her at the party. When I saw how relaxed she was around him, jealousy welled up within me as she hadn’t been that close to relaxing when we were dancing.
“Are we there yet? My feet hurt already,” She whined and linked her hand with mine.
She missed her step and bumped into a stone which hurt her big toe.
“Are you alright?” I asked as we stopped walking while I crouched on the ground to scrutinise her feet. The injured part had turned red and she winced immediately when I touched it.
“You have to take off your heels. You can’t continue walking on them,” I advised but she shook her head.
“But how would we get there?”
“I’ll give you a piggy ride till we get there, don’t worry.” I assured her.
She looked conflicted but I forced a smile to make her feel comfortable. “Are you sure?”
“Hop on,” I said and she slowly climbed on my back, parting her dress which rose up to her thighs.
I resisted the urge to caress her seductive thighs that were wrapped around my waist. I could feel how hot her pussy was on my back and I stifled an aroused groan that almost left my lips.
I checked my wristwatch and looked around and realised that we were almost getting to the hotel.
“This feels so weird, Matteo. I don’t think any man has given me a piggy ride before,” She admitted and my pride soared. I also hoped that I’d be the first man she had ever been with.
“You are the first too. This feels so personal and honestly I don’t know why I feel so inclined to doing this.” I replied.
We got to a two storey building which was brightly lit up with lights, then I dropped her before the entrance which was made of rotating glass doors since we couldn’t enter at the same time.
I headed straight to the receptionist who straightened over the counter when she sighted us coming towards her.
“Are there free rooms?” I asked with my Capo voice.
“I’m sorry, sir, there isn’t. Just a suite and it’s the most expensive one,” She replied with her eyes pleading.
Ordinarily, I’d have gotten angry and demanded they get me two rooms but I was happy with the fact that Aurora and I would sleep in the same room.
“Give me the key.” I said and she dug into her drawer and handed it over to me.
“Here it is, sir. Have a comfortable stay.” She buzzed.
I placed Aurora’s arm on my shoulder as a form of support while she held her shoes and limped.
“That woman almost peed on herself at the sight of you.” She commented playfully.
“But I didn’t say anything wrong,” I debated.
She stopped as if in thought and stared at me. “Do you own this hotel too?”
“Nope, but this is my city and like I said earlier, my word is law. She knows better than to get on my bad side, her job will be taken from her and she won’t be able to do anything about it.”
“But that’s really harsh,”
“And that is how to command respect.” I replied, stifling a yawn. “Let’s not argue now, you need to rest your feet and I want to sleep.”
She nodded and we both headed to the suite that was offered to us. I unlocked the door with the customised key and pushed it open. Aurora went in first, scanning the room in awe.
I smiled and wondered what her reaction would be when she saw some of my hotels.
“This is really beautiful,” She said, touching the plush couch which was as soft as feathers.
“Yea it is,” I replied and took off my suit.
She slanted a surprised look at me. “Are you really going to undress right in front of me?”
“Is there a problem with that?”
“There wouldn’t be if I don’t see what I’m not supposed to see.” She replied and sank onto the bed and drew the covers close to her. “Wait a minute, we won’t share a bed right?”
I burst out laughing at her question. She looked mortified and I couldn’t imagine that the fearless Aurora was scared of being with a man.
“You shouldn’t expect your Capo to lay on the couch. We are sharing the bed.”
