SCARLET’S POV
“Are they the ones?” a fierce-looking man stood up and asked as soon as we were led in.
We all stopped. “Yes, Moorso, we have brought then as required” one of the warriors that have brought us replied.
My gaze went through the Pixies in the room, men and a few women all seated at the round table, all of them, barely 5 feet tall. However, the warriors that had brought us were a little over 5 feet, making them giants in the land when compared to the rest. I and my friends are like giants in their midst as we stood at a height between 5. 6 to 6. 7 feet tall.
We were accosted in town by the warriors, four of them, and they without giving any reason insisted that the elders would want a meeting with us immediately and so we followed them willingly.
Moors looked at each of us for a while before finally taking his seat with a twist on his face.
“Bring them here” another elder, Tensa, ordered pointing to the middle of the hall.
“What is your purpose in Pixolands?” Tensa asked, looking fiercely at our faces, one by one.
It was apparent that all they wanted to do was to instill fear in us and make us bend on their will.
Before we could answer, Moorso got up again. “And who is your leader?” he asked pointing at us with his eyes flickering at our faces.
“See, we will see them at the early hours of tomorrow, take them away” a lady, Atoor instructed.
We were not given the time to say anything.
“Okay, Atoor” a warrior replied.
The warriors obeyed and started to lead us out, but a voice stopped us, it was that of Atoor. “Make them comfortable, give them food and wine, and provide them with all they want. See we are hospitable people and we don’t treat guests poorly” she chuckled.
As we were been led away, the place was filled with chatters and murmurs, everyone engaged in discussions that I believe were unrelated to us.
“What will they do to us, my luna?” Lara asked me quietly.
“I can’t say for sure, but I know that they will make us stay” I responded.
“Seems more like it. I wonder what captor treats his captives with dignity” Rich said.
“That is one of the tactics of the Pixies, they would want to make us comfortable enough to lose focus” I replied, gnashing my teeth.
“We will find out more tomorrow,” Landon said.

We were led into a very spacious and nice-looking apartment with a handful of servants to attend to us.
By the time it was evening, I decided to take a walk around our new abode and Lara accompanied me. I did not intend to stray too far as I am still under detention.
We took a walk around the back of our new home with one of the maids that were assigned to us, walking a few meters behind us.
We have not walked for long when I saw a young man ahead of us coming in our direction. I could not see his face clearly, but from his stature, I can say that he must be very handsome. He stood at about 5. 4 feet, a little shorter than me and I guess he should be the tallest in the land.
He was wearing a white, short-sleeve shirt that was only held together by the button on his navel. The hairs on his chest were left bare and at a glimpse, I concluded that they were inviting.
He walked freely, oblivious of his surroundings. I guess he was having some evening walk too.
“Hi” He stopped the moment we met.
“Hi” I replied with my head bowed.
“I am Chamlee. I see you are the guest brought in today” he said. His voice was bass, and it could make any lady cling to his feet.
“Yes,” I replied and finally looked up at him.
He was even more handsome in close distance. His white teeth sparkled as he smiled at me.
“So what are you doing, taking the even walk?” he asked.
“Yes. We decided to feed our eyes a little” I replied.
“Okay, come with me, I know a little about here and can show you around” he offered.
Before I could respond, he waved to the maid behind and she walked away.
“I see I am left with just you” I giggled.
“I know a thing or two about here” he smiled.
He did not even bother to ask of our names before he led us away, showing us the amazing arts of nature around.
We ended up at a little stream and decided to rest awhile before heading back. He was a nice companion and was ready to answer our questions.
When we were done, he brought us back to our apartment, and saying goodbye, he left.
I sighed as I watched him go, there is nothing that said we would meet again.
“He is such an odd fellow, what do you think of him?” Lara asked when we were alone.
“He is charming, and above all, he is accommodating” I replied.
“Yes, same could be said for all Pixies. But who is he?” she asked.
“He didn’t say, and he did not request for our names either” I murmured.
“Probably should be one of the warriors” Lara concluded.
“I think so too” I agreed.

Morning came almost immediately and we were once again in the presence of the elders just like yesterday. But this time, there were no warriors beside us and they all appeared more friendly.
No one said anything when we entered, they all remained quiet and it was as if they were expecting the arrival of someone important. We stood in wait for almost fifteen minutes, left to deal with the questioning looks from everyone.
Suddenly, everywhere grew very quiet and everyone stood up and turned back. Then, a handful of warriors and maids entered in two formed lines through the inner door. When they have all entered, the elders turned to their fronts and that was when he entered.
It was him, Chamlee. But who is he?
When Chamlee took his seat, they all sat down with a bow.
Chamlee began. “What are your names and what are you doing in Pixolands?”
His voice was as sweet as yesterday, and he looked as though he had never met us.
“Wait” he ordered. “Who is your leader?” he asked.
I think the Pixies have a habit of interrupting someone from speaking.
“I am their leader, and my name is Scar…” I said.
“You don’t have a name yet,” he said with authority.
“This is our Queen’s Chamlee. He could not get a queen yet because of the evil plague that had inhabited our land. And right now, we have no queen” Moorso revealed without beating around the bush. He bowed and sat back.
“Chamlee” I murmured.
Atoor stood up. “Chamlee is the son of the queen. Whoever marries him becomes our queen” after explaining, she bowed and took her seat.
I looked at the front of me, and that was when I noticed the empty throne. Chamlee had sat on a chair close to the throne.
“What brings you here, woman?” Moorso asked.
“I am sorry for intruding your noble land, my Chamlee and elders. I and my friends were only passing through the land when we found that a few of your people were infected with the strange plague. We would have continued on our journey but it was not in our nature to look away when we can help. We were helping the few affected people when you requested our presence” I replied. “But not to worry, we are on our way already” I quickly added.
After my explanations, they all nodded to themselves in agreement.
I was intentional in the way I had explained.
The Pixies must not know that I intend to remain in their land or that I knew the magnitude of the plague. I must make it look as if I was already on my way before they accosted me if I don’t want to be at the receiving end of this deal.
“You cannot leave” Chamlee ordered.
