“Are you okay now?” I asked when I returned to see him now resting on my bed fully dressed.
“Yeah, thanks for your help, I felt pains a while ago but I’m okay now all thanks to you,” he said and I nodded and sat on the single couch across the bed.
“By the way, I got you some things on my way back, you can check the freezer” he pointed and I stood up excited to see what he got.
I took out the plastic bag and hastily opened it to see my favorite ice cream and a huge crunchy chicken. “Thank you” I grinned at him and literally ran back to the couch and tore the bag apart taking out the ice cream and chicken.
“Mmmmm I moan as I took a huge bite of the chicken which was now chilled just like I love it.
I’ll be going back to my room now so if you need anything, you can ask me” he said and left the room.
I glance at the shut door wondering why he’s suddenly acting kind. He even got me ice cream. Well, I don’t care maybe he’s just in a good mood.
I waved it off and continued enjoying the snacks not wanting to bother about his act of kindness *Knock* I heard the sound of a knock on my door and wondered if Jayden returned.
“Yes, come in,” I said and focused back on my chicken. “Good evening future Luna” I heard and raised my brows to see who it was and it was a maid standing at the entrance of the door with her head slightly bowed.
“Please don’t call me that, my name is Rhoda and that is what you should call me, I’m pretty sure you are older than me,” I said and she shook her head trying to complain, I deepened my frown and shot her a stare making her shut up.
“Ok, ma… Rhoda stuttered and I nodded and urged her to state her mission.
“Dinner is ready and served, the Luna sent me to call you,” she said.
“You can go, tell her I’m not hungry as you can see, I’m already having a great time here so they should go on without me,” I said and she nodded then left the room.
Next day in school…
“I’m sorry for all I said, I know I said so many awful things to you but I’m wishing you forgive me, it was not said knowingly please Rhoda I’m so sorry” Luca begged and I kept quiet looking away from him.
It’s recessed and we are seating in the garden, I had skipped lunch and came straight to the garden when I saw Luca was in school.
I also do not want to take lunch to avoid Jayden forcing me to his table and bringing in Lisa to taunt me just like he did yesterday so I had decided to stock lot’s of snacks in my bag and it had kept my mouth busy until Luca came to disrupt my peaceful moment in the garden.
“Who told you I’m here,” I asked ignoring his apology. “Nobody, you weren’t in your class neither were you in the cafeteria so I know you must be here” he replied with a little smile which used to get me melting but I’m surprised it didn’t work out this time around and I didn’t find it cute as usual.
“O.. Kay” I drawled and continued munching on my potato chips.
“Do you forgive me?” He asked and I simply nodded not wanting to drag the issue. I knew he would come back to his senses and it didn’t even take long for him to even realize.
“Thank you so much, I promise to stand by you and not pour out my frustrations on you any longer” he muttered and I just nodded.
“It’s fine, it’s not your fault and I understand you. I would act even worse if I’d been in the same situation” I uttered remembering my reaction when he got a mouth job from Lisa at Charlotte’s party.
Even when it wasn’t his fault that he was picked and knowing he could do nothing, I still got angry at him and insisted he loved what he got from Lisa.
“Why aren’t you in the cafeteria having lunch,” he asked and I pointed at my snacks. “I’m not hungry, I have my snacks and wanted to be in the garden for a while as it helps me think out well”
“Okay” he mumbled and I passed him the plastic bag containing the chips. I love the feel of the chips, so crunchy; my kinda meal.
“How have you been doing,” he asked staring at me and I had to look down to avoid his gaze. I feel kinda weird these days that aside from Jayden, I don’t feel too comfortable with males again. Maybe the bond.
“I’ve been good, I’m alive and breathing should be enough reason to be good and thankful to the creator.
“Okay, nice so what are you doing alone here, do you not miss me?” he asked and I smiled a little.
Not to be lying, I do miss seeing him around but that’s just it. I don’t miss him that much to want to call him on phone. I don’t know why but I feel am getting unattached to Luca recently and I can’t explain why.
“I do” I replied instead and he grinned hugging me.
“Don’t leave me, Rhoda, I can’t live without you and I’m not sure I would survive if you leave me” he muttered sadly holding my hands
“Why should I leave you when you have done nothing wrong to me? I can’t do that so just stop bothering yourself about it” I reassured but deep down in me, I don’t know if what I said was the truth, I feel somehow, I’m telling myself a lie but I do not understand why.
“I love you,” he said gazing into my eyes, I nodded and the next, his lips landed on mine.
He’s kissing me but why I’m I feeling nothing but disgust? I can’t push him out because he’s my boyfriend but why didn’t I feel any sparks, no desires, no fire burning through me, no butterflies bubbling in my stomach?
I feel disgusted and dirty. I don’t feel happy about his kiss. I feel as though some unwanted stuff was shoved into my mouth.
He withdrew when he noticed I wasn’t returning his kiss. “What’s wrong?” he asked and I shook my head saying nothing.
He drew his head in again to continue kissing me but I stood up and ran out of the garden.
JAYDEN’S POV
I stood at the entrance of the garden watching Luca kiss my mate. Anger grew in me, my eyes turned red and I’m so mad.
How dare he do that to my mate, my woman. He must be insane and I’m not sure I’ll be sparing him this time around.
I had gone to the class to fetch her for lunch as she wasn’t in the cafeteria but was told by one of the students to check out the garden.
And then I come here to see this fool kissing what was mine. Sharing my property how dare he.
I was about to rush there and tear him apart when Rhoda suddenly ran out of the garden and he followed suit calling out her name and apologizing.
She doesn’t look happy and I’m glad she doesn’t seem to have enjoyed his kiss. Why would she when I’m far better at kissing than that scum?
I turned around and stomped to my private room where Jake and Jordan were seating and conversing.
“Aaaahhh!!! Damn him” I shrieked and pushed down half of the books on the shelf. Took the flower pot and broke it into pieces.
“Hey dude what’s the problem why are you destroying things?” Jordan asked running out of the way as I threw a book in his direction.
“I won’t take this, how dare him to touch what belongs to me, how dare that fool” I yell and the twins kept looking at me as if I grew two heads overnight.
“What’s going on Jay, calm down and stop breaking things, your hand is bleeding and what you are destroying won’t solve the problem, what’s wrong with you?” Jake scolded and dragged me to a seat.
“How dare him to do that to her, to me? How dare he to kiss what belongs to me” I shrieked and Jordan chuckled. I turned to glare at him and he raised his brows in a what? manner.
“Okay, we know you are talking about Rhoda but who kissed her?” Jake asked holding back his laugh.
“That scum did, that MF Luca dare use his filthy lips to kiss my Mate, how dare him” I yelled and Jordan let out a humorous laugh.
“Wait Jayden, are you angry she got kissed and not fvcked? I was even thinking she rejected you. You were kissing Lisa in her presence yesterday and now you saw her boyfriend kissing her and suddenly you are mad?” Jordan said in-between laughter making me glare daggers at him.
“She isn’t his girlfriend anymore and you know I only did that with Lisa to make her jealous so don’t fvcking tell me that” I raged.
“You love her?” Jake asked
“Yes I do, so what if I do is that the reason for her to allow him to kiss her?” I rant but when I saw the look on the boy’s faces, I stopped talking and glared hard at them.
“What? Why are you both looking at me like that?” I spark and they burst out laughing.
“You just said you love her” Jordan laughed and Jake joined him making me confused.
“Wh.. en did I.. say that? I never said something like that” I drawled and they continued laughing hard falling over each other pissing me off the more.
“Jayden seriously I don’t understand why you kept on denying your feelings for this girl, everyone knows you love her but you’ve refused to tell yourself the truth, for how long will you continue hiding it? Till you see them fvcking? Is that when you’ll realize? Dude go and confess to her” Jake snapped turning serious after his laughter.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, I do love her, I mean I don’t love her so what are you saying” I muttered not even sure of myself.
“Well you do but if you insist on denying it, then go on but we would be here to give you a sweet laugh and comforting shoulder when you see Luca drilling her,” Jordan said and I threw a book at him.
“He wouldn’t dare, I’ll just kill him and you guys should leave me alone, I don’t love her I’m only angry because she’s my mate so both of you should stop dragging it” I snapped and sat down
I uncapped the apple juice that was on the table and drank it directly from trying I trying to quench my anger.
I’ll be going home now, I’ll see you guys later” I said and picked my car key and stomped out of the room going home to think things out.
I got to the parking lot, got into my car and speed out of the school, and headed home.
I got to the house and met my mother eating in the dining. “Why are you back home early son,” she asked and I shook my head.
“Nothing Mum there’s something urgent I need to do at home so I came back but don’t worry, I will return to school as soon as am done with it,” I said and she shrugged then continue eating while I walk back to my room.
I wasn’t going to return to school though, I said that just to get her mind off it and she wouldn’t know if I stayed back home or returned to school.
I put off my uniform and walked into the bathroom to take a hot bath and calm my burning heart down.
