Cold shiver ran down my body as I stood rooted to the floor, scared for my life, if I had known, I would have slept in Luca’s house or better still stayed with Philipp and wait for the Mechanic.
Now am here standing before a dead man who tried to rape me and a gunshot which I didn’t know where it came from.
I kept my eyes closed expecting the worse, maybe the person who shot that gun would also shoot me.
I started hearing a footstep coming closer to me, I felt like urinating on my body when the person stopped in front of me.
“Please don’t kill me, I’m innocent and they tried raping me, I didn’t do anything please” I pleaded weeping with my eyes still closed.
“Really?” I heared a chuckle and them laughters followed suit. I stop whimpering and wiped my eyes, flickered them open to see Jayden and his friends standing there laughing their ass off.
I shifted back wondering what they were doing and if they shot the gun. “What are you doing here?” I asked peering at their faces.
“Is that what you are supposed to tell us? We just saved your life and you are asking what we were doing here” Jayden muttered and I widened my eye.
“You killed him?” I whispered and took two steps away from him getting more scared.
“What do you think?” He smirked and step closer to me.
Jayden doesn’t like me so why would he kill a person to save me, I thought staring wide eyed at him.
“Wh… y di… d you…. do… that…?” I stuttered still not getting the whole thing, first I was at Luca’s place then the car broke down on my way home, I encountered people who tried to rape me saying they were sent by someone and then a gunshot sounded killing one of the rapist and then he appeared from nowhere with his friends saying he saved me.
“Did you send them to me and then killed one to get me to yourself?” I asked suspicious of him.
“So it could have been better if I left them do what you refused me? Why would I suffer to send people when I could do it without much ado?” He asked and by then, he had gotten much closer to me.
“You know, I never knew you could be such a scaredy cat” he mocked touching my cheek.
“Be thankful that I happened to be driving by and saw some people harrasing you then I had to do what I got to do, no one messes with what I’ve got my eyes on” he said and immediately lifted me, placing me on his shoulder.
“What are you doing, put me down” I whispered still very much scared to yell. He’s with a fvcking gun and he just shot someone right now.
“What am doing? Taking you home or else you want something else maybe you want me to finish what they started” he said and my heart stopped beating for a minute.
“Please take me home, my mother would be worried sick I’d already informed her that I was on my way” I begged and he ignored me, got to the car, placed me in the passenger seat, the twins entered the back seat and he drove off.
He stopped in front of my house and I wondered how he knew where I lived, not wanting to ask him, I just thanked him for saving me again and walked in but before that, he reminded me of his request tomorrow and asked me to prepare.
I wonder what he would ask of me tomorrow and whatever it was, I will do it to save Luca as long as he doesn’t request my body.
I step onto the porch and opened the door to beheld my mother’s worried face, she’d called me when the rapist surrounded me but they’d warned me never to pick the call.
I rushed into her hands and just told her the car broke down and we had to wait for the pack machanic to come fix it which took a lot of time.
I don’t want to tell her what happened on my way because she would freak out and lecture me on the dangers of a young girl staying out late.
I knew that but I didn’t want to sleep in Luca’s house because of the Luna, she hates me and would continue blaming for what happened to her son and also, my mother won’t be at peace knowing I slept out.
She would think the beating was serious or maybe Jayden came back to harm me. My mother has formed the habit of thinking too much instead of just calling my phone to find out things, she’d rather think of the worst and not call me.
And when I ask her, she says she thinks of several things to remember she has phone and was supposed to call.
I was even surprised she called because my mother seldom calls any of us. She barely even know where she toss her phone and until it rings would she finally see it.
I ate my dinner and walk up to my room where I showered and laid on my bed. It’s past 2am now and I wonder where Jayden and his friends were coming from when they saw me.
What if he didn’t stop? what if he had just left considering the fact that he hated me or was he pretending to hate me? but he said he stopped because he hadn’t had what the rapists were trying to steal from me.
But who were those guys anyway? Who sent them, how do they know I was going to trek home by that time of the night, how come they even knew I was out of the house??
Could it be that someone has been tracking my location and trying to harm me all this while??
Or could it be they made up the whole thing so I would think someone was behind it?
why would Jayden kill one of them if he was involved? I kept asking myself so many questions which there was no answer to while tossing around the bed unable to sleep.
The next morning….
I woke up with a dark circle around my eyes, I couldn’t sleep throughout the night as I was thinking about everything that happened last night, asking myself too many questions which I didn’t find the answers.
It’s very obvious someone was tracking my location which I would from now be very careful about where I go and how long I spend out.
I would have told my father about it but he wasn’t often around as he travels all over the country for his business. My mother is not an option because she would over worry about it without doing anything.
My brothers are all outside the country and there’s no way I would distrupt their studies because of what am not even sure of.
Atleast my life wasn’t in danger yet because most girls do fall victim of rape and attempted rape.
I took my bath, dressed up and applied a little make up to seal the black eye then picked up my back pack and existed the room.
Mary was already at the dinning arranging the breakfast, I greeted her, asked about my mom and she told me she went for an early women’s meeting in the pack house.
I settled down and had my breakfast of pancake and coffee then left the house to the station.
Since my Mom wasn’t around to give me money for transport which I forgot to tell her that it was finished, I had to take the free bus to school today.
I got to the park and sat down on the waiting bench, I checked the time and I was already running late but the bus wasn’t yet available.
I sat there for several minutes and when I got fed up about to start trekking, a red Lamborghini pulled up in front of me.
I shifted back and tried walking away when the glass whined down and Jayden pocked out his head flashing his trademark smirk
