Bryan and Aiden laughed as they headed back home after their run.
“It is definitely a draw because you cannot say you got there before me. Either I did or we did at the same time,” Aiden said to Bryan.
“A draw it is”, Bryan chuckled. “Definitely not letting you have the win.”
“Your soul knows who the real winner is,” Aiden said, raising his hand in surrender. Acting dramatic, “With that said, I rest my case.”
“So, are we going to do the stuff tonight?” Bryan chuckled and asked Aiden, changing the topic.
“We should, the sooner, the better”, Aiden concurred.
“And we missed dinner”, Bryan suddenly remembered. “I am sure everyone is done with dinner by now and in their rooms.”
“True.”
Getting in, they had the maids serve them and had their dinner alone, just the both of them. They also asked a maid about Kira and their parents. The maid informed them that Kira and their parents had indeed had dinner and went to their various rooms right after.
The instant they were done with their dinner, they went upstairs, heading to Kira’s room.
Two knocks on her door, they did not even wait for a response before trying to open it, but it was locked.
“Open the door, Kira”, Aiden called out to her.
Upon hearing his voice, Kira, who was already lying down in bed, bored out of her mind, sat up and stared at the door, not moving.
“Kira?”, She heard Aiden call out for her again but kept quiet, wondering what she should do.
Her heart was already pounding in her chest as she gulped.
“We know you are in there, mate. It would be best if you open this door while we are being very, I mean extremely calm,” Aiden told her, his voice just as calm as they were. “Unless you would prefer us to bring it down.”
“Come to think of it”, Bryan interjected. “I do not know why she needs a door. We should take it out, it is much better that way.”
Aiden thought about it for a few seconds and agreed, “That is true, brother.”
As soon as Kira caught their words, she quickly got up and opened the door.
“It’s much better to have a door than none,” She said to herself as she moved away after opening the door and letting them in.
“Next time, do not keep us waiting,” Aiden warned her. “Just because we go easy on you does not mean we are soft or that we do not know how to put you in place. Is that clear?”
“Y-yes Alpha,” Kira answered, looking down at her feet. She could be sassy sometimes, but they might really do something to her if she talks back.
Bryan just watched her, not saying a word. His eyes went up to her body, but she did not notice. He was just making sure she was okay without asking her. Aiden also did the same immediately after they walked in, before being cold to her.
“Hold out your hand,” Aiden demanded of Kira.
“I am sorry, I didn’t mean-“, Kira was about to defend herself again but was abruptly stopped.
“Hold out your hand, Kira,” Aiden demanded again, cutting her off.
Kira looked up, but not straight into his eyes, as she held out her hand.
“Brother, the bottle,” he said to Bryan.
Bryan came closer with a glass bottle, still not uttering a word.
Kira looked at both of them, wondering what they were about to do.
While she wondered, getting a bit frightened and suspicious with the way they were acting, Aiden took her hand in his, brought out a little knife, and was about to cut her when she pulled her hand away quickly, holding it to her chest.
She moved away from them slowly.
“Can you just do as you are told for once?”, Aiden asked her.
“B-but…”
“But nothing, Kira, give him your palm,” Bryan said to her.
“It will be just a little cut,” Aiden explained to her. “It will not hurt.”
“What if I don’t want to?”, Kira asked softly. She did not trust them at all.
“Why would they even need to do that? Do they, by any chance, want my blood? That is the only thing that adds up at this point, with the bottle in sight”, Kira thought.
“If you don’t want to, we will make you,” Bryan answered her question. “So choose.”
The way he asked her to make a choice sounded like a threat. It made her shiver a bit. His voice was so calm yet deadly. It was hard for her to explain, but she ended up doing as she was told and outstretching her hand.
Immediately, Aiden grabbed her hand and sliced her palm with the knife, making her wince at the sudden cut.
He took the bottle from Bryan right after that and set it under Kira’s hand, tilting her hand to let the blood flow freely into the bottle.
When Aiden was satisfied with the amount he wanted, he was going to stop, but Bryan told him to get some more, and so he did, before they were both equally satisfied.
Bryan took the bottle from Aiden as soon as he was done and covered it, while on the other hand, Aiden took out his handkerchief from his pocket and wrapped it around Kira’s hand.
He was gentle yet firm with his touch as he secured it with a tight knot. He caressed her hand for a split second before letting go.
“You will heal in no time”, he assured her.
Kira let out a small “Okay”, and pulled back her outstretched hand, dropping it by her side.
Both Bryan and Aiden bid her a good night before leaving.
Right after they left, she locked the door. She had already had her shower and was lying in bed before their knock came in.
“But what do they want to do with it?”, Kira asked herself, while walking around the room, “Why would they need my blood? What are they up to?”
These thoughts ran through her mind, but she was never able to get a suitable answer. It was all maybe, not sure, and no certainty.
She finally gave up on wanting to know and tried to get some sleep, but she just could not. She needed something to do. Perhaps read a book, anything to just help reduce the boredom she was feeling.
After laying in bed for close to an hour and feeling restless, she decided to go downstairs and look for what to do.
Going down the stairs, Kira could not shake the feeling that someone was watching her.
She spun around quickly when she couldn’t take it anymore and shouted, “WHO IS THERE?!”
