Alpha Blade;
“You have to fucking come to an agreeable terms with me, Alpha Arthur. Do you think that I enjoy spending my time in your stupid home? I need to return to my pack, and I must return with Elara,” I grasp his shirt collar as I roar at him.
This bastard thinks I’m here to play games with him. I have a whole lot of responsibility going on in my pack waiting for me to come attend to them.
It’s never ideal for an Alpha and his Beta to leave the pack at once. One must be present to handle things. But here I am, with my Beta, in Alpha Arthur’s pack because of the stupidity of Kalus. He chooses to kidnap and sell off a lady for no just reason.
Don’t even know what’s wrong with that dumb head.
Alpha Arthur snatches his collar away from my grip, adjusting it, “I thought you were smart, Alpha Blade, but nah… you are just as dumb as your ass. How do you think you can take Elara back to your pack when we have something critical going on?”
“That shouldn’t be any of your business, Alpha Arthur. If you have an issue in your pack, then sort it out and leave Elara out of it,” I clenched my fits by my side. His words sounded so annoying to my ears.
He takes a few steps closer to me, our eyes locked in a battle of wills. “Even if there wasn’t a problem in my pack, I will never let you take Elara away from me again. The first time was a mistake, but this second time. You will have to cut off my head to make it happen.”
“Alpha Arthur!” I screech in wrath and clutch his neck, pushing him smashing to the wall. He falls to his one knee, his fist pressed on the floor.
Alpha Arthur slowly raises his head, his eyes burning with fire. He jerks his neck side by side, and with a loud roar, his bones begin to crack as he stands upright. Then he shifts into his wolf form.
A smile dances on my lips as I also roar, my bones cracking as I allow my wolf to take over me. It was high time we finally sorted out our scores. “Let’s get this done with, big man,” my wolf groans as he angrily gazes at Alpha Arthur’s wolf.
Alpha Arthur is about to attack me when another wolf jumps between us, holding him back with so much strength. It was my Beta that had actually stepped in.
“You have to calm down, Alpha Arthur,” Bronson groans, his legs dragging backward, his palms placed on Alpha Arthur’s chest trying to stop him.
It wasn’t an easy task for a Beta to stop an angry Alpha. He needs so much strength to be able to do that. The Beta might even run out of breath if the Alpha pushes forward. Funny how Alpha Arthur suddenly stops. He shifts back into his human form, picks up his already torn clothes from the floor, and ambles into his room.
When did this fool learn how to control his anger? I wanted us to get into this battle so this time, I would be the one to leave the scar on him, just the way he did to me years back. He must have been the Goddess’s favorite today to be able to know when to stop.
My gaze still fixed on his fading movement as I shifted back into my human form, standing naked before Bronson. “Why did you have to interfere?” I also picked up my torn clothes from the floor. Yeah, they were no longer useful because they were now rags, but I love to pick up my clothes after a shift.
“When do you two actually intend to stop fighting?” Bronson roared at me. I can see blood dripping from his fingers. He must have broken some claws trying to stop a big Alpha wolf.
“You need to learn how to stay off Alpha Arthur and my business. That fool always has a way of getting me pissed. Maybe when he’s finally under the soil our battle will finally come to an end. Get ready Bronson, we are returning to the pack,” I make to walk away when his question calls back my attention.
“Are we leaving without Elara?”
I move toward him, looking right into his eyes, “I will never return to my pack without Elara. She is my reason for being here. If it means for me to snatch her, drag her, or even kidnap her, I will do it. She must go back with me,” I spoke to him, and I mean every bit of my words.
I’m fully aware that Bronson wants peace but at this point, peace is not an option. Alpha Arthur does not deserve anything peaceful and I will make him feel my heat.
Bronson scratches the alae of his nose. I know what he is about to say. I know he will suggest that I don’t forcefully take Elara but I won’t pay attention to his words. He moves closer, this time, his finger scratching his hair, “Can I also kidnap Malicia and bring her to our pack?”
“What!?” My eyes widen as I stare at him in shock. Where did that come from? Malicia?
“Why would you want to kidnap Malicia? What’s your relationship with that girl?”
He shifts into his human form before responding to me. “I think I like her.”
“Huh?”
Nodding his head, “Yes, I do like her,” he confirms.
I wanted to ask him when this feeling of his started but I was stunned into silence. Bronson has never liked a lady to the point of wanting to kidnap her. Did she do something to him? What was going on with my Beta?
He placed his hand on my shoulder, tapping me out of my shock, “I will take your silence as approval. Thank you,” he uttered and walked away.
My head spins side by side trying to comprehend his true reason for wanting Malicia as I make my way back to my room. Bronson has never mentioned anything about her to me, so why….
My throat gulps down hard as I enter my room. I should calm down on this for now. There is a reason. Maybe when we return to the pack, I will get to find out his true intentions because Bronson can’t be with that girl.
Yep, I know she is beautiful, but he has never looked at a woman like her. I know what my Beta likes and when I see one with him, I won’t be surprised. Anyway, my focus should be on how to take Elara back to my pack.
I need to announce her as my Luna, and let the Council of Elders understand that I have the final say in my life. As for Jasmine, I will think about what to do with her later.
My feet dart into the bathroom. I had my shower, threw some clothes on my body, and set out in search of Elara.
I now know what to do when I see her. I know the best way to make her follow me back to my pack. If this doesn’t work out, then my second option will eventually work out.
Still searching through the living room and her room, I’m unable to find her. Walking past the door of the kitchen, I heard her giggling. My feet paused and I shoved my head into the kitchen, and there she was with Malicia, having a conversation and laughing hard.
Their bond must be very strong for them to still be close even when someone else is in the body of Elara.
Clearing my throat as I move closer to them. I noticed how they jerked in shock, and Elara suddenly pulled her steps backward. There was fear written in her eyes as she gazed right at me. She is obviously scared of me because of what I did in that bathroom.
It wasn’t entirely my fault. I wanted to have a conversation with her that day but when I saw her bare body, I was carried away. My wolf took over me and wanted to have his mate. Sometimes I had to let that animal have his way so he could be excited.
“Elara,” I step forward and she moves backward. Halting dead in my tracks, my palms holding out, “I won’t try anything funny. I just want to have a word with you,” I softly utter and she raises her brow, staring right at me. “I promise,” my lips drag to the side trying to force a warm smile on my face but it isn’t coming.
“Elara, it’s fine,” Malicia holds Elara’s hand by the side trying to calm her down. “Alpha Blade just wants to have a conversation,” she smiles at Elara who still has fear written all over her face.
Now I understand why Bronson wants to take Malicia along with him. She has a warm heart, and I think she will also play a role in helping me convince her friend. I’m now a fan of hers. Malicia, you are highly welcome to my pack.
But gazing right at Elara and seeing how terrified she is, where do I start with the conversation? Will she even be able to buy into my proposal when she is very scared of me? How do I go about using my first option by convincing her when she is this scared, because my second option will make matters worse for us?
How do I start?
