Chapter 23

Book:Alpha Arthur, She is mine Published:2024-10-27

Alpha Blade;
“Doctor Mike, the woman I brought to this hospital should be handled with care. I don’t want anything to go wrong with her after the operation. And make sure to inform me when everything is done,” I stretch forth my hand for a handshake with Doc. Mike.
“Ok, Alpha Blade. My boys and I will make sure she is very fine. But who is this lady to you? I mean, I’ve never seen you bring any lady yourself for treatment. Even when Jasmine was very ill, you didn’t even bat an eyelid,” he questions, returning the handshake.
“She is my Luna, but only a few know about it,” as expected, my response makes Doc. Mike’s jaw drops, and my cheeks run through my ears.
Doc. Mike is a very trusted family member. I see him as my second father after the death of my late father. He is one of my father’s trusted and closest friends, and he knows almost everything about me.
“Alpha Blade, you know you are not allowed to have a Luna for now, and If the pack members get to find out who she is, your life and hers will be in great danger. I don’t want you to suffer the same fate as your father,” his words make me chuckle.
Withdrawing my hand from the handshake and fixing my hands in my pockets, “That’s why I’m trying to protect her from everyone, and I will do my best to make sure no harm comes to her.”
“So what about her pregnancy, why do you want to get rid of it?”
Scratching my forehead with my index finger, “The child in her womb belongs to Alpha Arthur, and you know how I can’t stand him, or anything that has to do with him.”
Doc. Mike breaks out in laughter, “Don’t you think life is funny? You two have been fighting over Leona for years with no tangible result, and now you both still find yourselves entangled with a new woman. When will this hostility between you two end?” A warm smile envelops his face, and I whiff, rolling my eyes.
“Which side are you even on, Doc? Mine or his?”
“None. Both of you are like my sons after the death of your fathers. Sometimes I feel I failed in raising you two, because of your lack of love and unity. Maybe your positions as Alpha Kings are getting into your heads,” he fixes his hands in his lab coat.
Nothing about his words seems new to me because basically, he makes sure to talk to me about reconciling with that moron, which is never possible. I don’t understand why he is not giving up on it, after many years. “It’s time for me to leave, Doc. Mike. I have to catch up with my Alpha duties waiting for me. Don’t forget to reach out when my Luna’s operation is done,” I tap his shoulder, enter my car, and drive off to the meeting chamber, to meet with the council of elders who are already waiting for me.
*******
“Alpha Blade, why is the girl missing from your home? You know it will be a taboo if you choose not to listen to what the Moon Goddess wants,” Elder Mathew, the leader of the council, speaks.
My eyes run through their evil faces one after the other, my jaw clenches in anger, “I will repeat myself one last time. I will not sacrifice anyone under any Blood Moon. If your Goddess is so blood-tasty, then let her go into the woods and hunt for other animals, not my species.”
“Alpha, this was how stubborn your father was, and his reign was cut short. Even as an Alpha, you do not have the right to carry out a decision without us,” Elder Mathew looks at the faces of the other elders, and they all nod their heads in agreement to his words.
Elder Mathew is the highest of the Elders, and the most evil of them all. These old blood sucking monsters, who always use the Moon Goddess as an excuse to carry out their diabolical acts, are the ones who killed my parents. But they always act like they have no idea about it.
I’m yet to dissolve this council of old elders and bring in young vibrant men like myself, because I want to find out the truth about my parent’s death. I will make everyone involved pay for their crime.
It’s stupid how they still have the guts to suggest to me that I should sacrifice Elara. Just to cleanse the land from the atrocity I committed. What fucking atrocity, and why do they keep referring to the event of that night as atrocity? Punishing me for a sin I never committed, but I know the game they are playing. I promise it won’t end well.
I’m fully aware of their reason for not wanting me to have a Luna. The only truth remains, they don’t want me to have an heir to my throne. So the day I finally die, my legacy dies with me. But I will beat them to their games, that’s a fact.
As for the stupid Elara, who has chosen to make life miserable for herself, and not me. I will make sure I protect her from these men. Don’t get me wrong. It’s not because I have feelings for her, or whatsoever. As I mentioned earlier, she is my ticket to taking my revenge on Alpha Arthur, and I can’t wait to inform the stupid Alpha Arthur that I ordered his pup to be killed.
If Elara was pregnant with some other person’s pup, I would have let it be. However, her life will still end up being miserable in the end, because that is a part of my plan. Still, I can’t just stand my mate bringing the child of my enemy into this world. The thought of it already makes me feel defeated.
I take a good look at the faces of the evil elders sitting at the round table with me, and softly sigh in frustration. “My father’s reign was cut short because he trusted the wrong set of people. Believe me when I say, I’m very different from him. My final decision about the girl and sacrifice still stands. She is my guest and must be treated as one,” I make my final pronouncement on the case.
With anger on their faces, they all stand up.
Elder Mathew looks me right in the eye, his lips twisting to the sides as a cruel smile plays on them, “Whatever happens to that girl from now, is your fault. Don’t forget, you can’t hide her for long. What the Moon Goddess wants, she gets,” he bows his head in respect, and the others do, and they all leave the chamber.
My head pushes backward as I let out a heavy breath of frustration once again. Fighting these old rags is not an easy battle, but I will make sure I win. They can’t keep telling me how I should live my life when I’m the Alpha of the pack. Never!
“Alpha, seems those old fools decided to stress you once again,” Jasmine’s voice comes flooding into my head, and I bring my eyes in the direction of her voice. “But why don’t you just give her to them? What’s the big deal? I don’t understand why you keep acting like she is very special to you,” she takes her position beside me.
“Jasmine, that lady is my guest, and not a sacrificial lamb. All the sacrifices those old rags have carried out over years on this soil, what has changed? There is still sickness, and the Rogues also get to attack this pack whenever. So tell me, what is the essence?”
She places her palm on my lap, gently caressing it all the way to my cock, her gaze fixed on me as she softly utters, “Alpha, don’t let those fools get the best of you. You know how much I hate it when your handsome face etches with a frown,” her hand keep stroking my cock, reaching out for the zip of my pants.
I make to hold her hand and stop it from moving when my phone suddenly rings, and I pick up the call. “Hello, Doc. Mike! Don’t tell me you are missing me that much to call me just a few hours after I left your hospital. Are you done already?” I chuckle.
“The girl, Alpha. The girl is missing!” he replies from the other end of the phone,
“What!?” I shoot upright on my chair, “What do you mean missing?”
“My doctors informed me that she went to the restroom, and it’s been over 2 hours now. She is nowhere to be found. I think she ran away.”
My left hand clench into a fist, my fingers dig in, and my teeth grit. “How dare that bitch! How dare she run away?” Anger washes over me and I roar, smashing my phone on the wall.
My warriors rush in at the sound of my roar, confusion fills their faces.
My index finger rises, pointing at my head warrior, Ryder, “I want you to lead the men into the city, and search for my whore, Elara. Make sure to drag her here to me when found!”
With my order, they all bow their heads and amble away to carry out their duties.
