Chapter 570 – Paige, a chat?

Book:The Psychotic Girl's Revenge Published:2024-10-27

Paige didn’t notice Beau’s butler’s mess, only subconsciously looking in the direction of the tarmac, remembering the call from last night.
Last night, after she solved the thirteen hotel kidnappings, she asked about what was going on behind the scenes.
She was leaning against the car door talking to Nick when Enrico’s call came, the moon over The Capital half obscured from view by the tall buildings in front of her.
She picks up the phone and realizes the unfamiliar number is coming from across the border, which is enough to put her through.
She distinctly remembered Enrico saying just four sentences on the phone, the first asking her, “Are you hurt?”
The low raspy voice breathed some concern.
What she said was, “I’m not hurt, what about you and Gabriel? Are you and Gabriel okay?”
After she asked, Enrico didn’t make a sound, and after a few seconds of silence on the phone, he suddenly let out a low, mocking laugh before sneering out the remaining three words-
“We’re fine.”
“You’re not fine, though.”
“Paige, just wait for me, I’m flying back now!”
After saying that, Enrico hung up the phone.
Through the phone, Paige could feel the cutting edge of his words that wanted to eat her alive.
It was a sound that disturbed her for the rest of the night.
With that, Paige began to panic.
Her eyes lagged for a few seconds to return to their normal state and she cleared her throat, “It occurs to me that Temple in Heaven has a few more things to do, Beau butler if you see Enrico in a few moments, tell him I’ve been out.”
With that said, Paige lifted the hem of her skirt and walked out of the garden, taking a few steps before turning back.
She had to drive away.
Drive away fast.
She wasn’t one to run away, but with Enrico’s anger on the phone, she thought it would be better to let him cool off before explaining.
Paige thought to herself as she walked quickly in the direction of the parking lot, and before she got close, from a distance, she saw a group of people embracing Enrico as he walked this way.
Enrico was wearing an ink-colored coat, walking with the wind.
Olivia was following behind him, holding Gabriel in her arms, and behind her was Jaden, as well as the bodyguards and servants who had gone to the house to welcome him.
When did this Jaden come to the house.
Must be Enrico forbidding him to tell her a definite landing time.
“…”
Paige ducked down behind a nearby tree, ready to wait for them to pass before heading to the parking lot.
Enrico walked by with a grimace on his face, and before Paige could be glad to have dodged a bullet, she saw Enrico suddenly stop in the road.
He looked down and fiddled with the watch on his wrist, his voice cold, “Jaden.”
“Boos, what are your orders?” Jaden answered in a hurry.
Paige leaned her back against a large tree, only to hear Enrico’s cold voice come through, “Be prepared to block all traffic in The Capital again.”
Jaden froze, “Why?”
Enrico glanced sideways, ghostly at the big tree on the side of the road, and let out a cold smile, “Some weak-minded people are going to run l , of course I have to catch them at all costs.”
“…”
Jaden looked stunned, who was going to run?
But Enrico didn’t say any more, he only turned the watch upright and lifted his leg to stride forward without further stopping.
“…”
Paige leaned against a large tree and listened, momentarily resting her mind about running.

The group walked halfway around the manor to the main building.
“Welcome back young master … ah-choo.”
Beau’s butler, who had quickly changed his clothes, led the servants to stand at the door to greet Enrico.
“…”
Enrico gave him a cool glance, pushed the people away with one hand, lifted his foot to step through the door, and lifted his eyes to look at the opulent hall in front of him.
Paige, dressed in a long dress, was sitting quietly on a vintage ornate couch, a newspaper flipping in her hands.
The light swept over her lowered brow, as beautiful as a framed oil painting.
Of course, the premise is to ignore her slightly rapid breathing, after all, she was all the way to run shortcuts and over the window, which rushed into the hall in front of them.
Enrico stood in the doorway, a pair of gray demonic eyes fixedly looking at her, his thin lips holding up a smirk-like arc.
Running really fast.
“Miss-”
Olivia stood behind Enrico with Gabriel in her arms, and having not seen Paige for too long, she suddenly shouted out in excitement.
Only then did Paige seem to know what had happened, lifting her face to look at Enrico, who had a strong aura in the doorway, and said in surprise, “Enrico, Olivia, you’re all back?”
Upon hearing this voice, Gabriel, who was dozing off, jerked his head up and looked forward with wide eyes, “Mommy!”
He struggled out of Olivia’s arms on his short legs and rushed towards Paige, “Mommy Mommy Mommy!”
Having not seen her son for too long, Paige’s heart touched, and she hurriedly opened her arms to hold him in her arms, her eyes falling on the gauze on his forehead as her smile froze.
“…”
Mom … Mimi? Mom what mimi?
Completely frozen, Beau Butler turned his head to Jaden, only to see Jaden’s eyes wider than his.
Beau Butler inquired wordlessly.
Jaden shook his head violently, he was still surprised that Mr. Gustin got off the plane with a child by his side, this this this …
No one wanted to explain it to them, though, so double-faced confusion reigned.
“Mommy Mommy!” Gabriel excitedly jumped into Paige’s arms, his small hands cupped her lowered face, his forehead rubbed up against it, childish voice, “Gabriel misses you so much, do you miss Gabriel?”
“Of course I miss you.” Paige couldn’t help but hug the baby that belonged to her hard, kissing him on his little face, looking at the gauze on his head and asking, “Does it hurt?”
“It won’t hurt if Mommy blows on it.”
Gabriel stood on his tiptoes, laboriously tilted his neck straight up, and tried desperately to get up to his full height, endeavoring to press his forehead to Paige’s lips.
Paige watched him do this, healing to the point of melting, and cooperated by blowing into the gauze.
“Well, it sure doesn’t hurt at all!” Gabriel said fervently.
Paige was once again amused.
“Ow ow ow ow-” came the sound of a dog barking.
Paige turned her eyes and saw a white, long-haired dog wagging its tail straight at her from a short distance away, its eyes glowing and barking every now and then.
“The little dolphin is back too.” Paige smiled.
The little dolphin immediately rushed over and circled around her feet, sniffing desperately, tail wagging.
Paige reached out and rubbed the dolphin’s head, and it immediately squatted down, its eyes shining brightly.
Gabriel snuggled in Paige’s body, a pair of beautiful eyes have been staring at her, can not help but reach out a small hand to touch her face again, eyes glowing, “Mommy, I really can miss you … Huh?”
The little one looked at her little short legs that instantly left the ground a little confused, and when she looked up, she saw Enrico’s expressionless face.
Enrico carried Gabriel aside and kicked the shaggy dog next to him away, looking down at the woman sitting on the couch, “Paige, chat?”
“…”
Paige raised her eyes and met the darkness in his eyes, her heart sank and she squeezed out a smile, “You guys just came back, I’ll make you two cups of tea …”
Enrico’s eyes went cold.
Paige had to collect her voice and turned her head to Olivia, “Olivia, you stay here first, if there is something you need to find Butler Beau and Jaden, I will come back to you in a while.”
