Olivia stood aside and quietly surveyed Enrico.
Young master came to see her, didn’t he want to talk about Gabriel? Why did he keep asking about Xiaolou? Xiaolou wasn’t where Gabriel lived, there were no traces of a child’s life there.
If it wasn’t about Gabriel, why did young master come?
To visit Xiaolou?
Was that necessary?
Olivia couldn’t figure it out, and her heart was filled with unease. Could it be that, as Kevin had said, young master might not yet know about Gabriel’s existence?
Were men really so careless? Seeing a pair of grey eyes that were exactly like her own, did they not even suspect for a moment?
“How dare you follow Paige for a few years and then lose focus in front of me?” The man’s cold voice suddenly sounded.
Olivia came back to her senses and met Enrico’s dark eyes. She was instantly terrified and dropped to her knees, ‘Young master, I didn’t mean it, please forgive me.’
She still shuddered when she thought about Enrico’s tactics back then.
Enrico sat there, looking at her with cold eyes, his long fingers tapping twice on his knees.
After a long while, he spoke slowly, “I know that Paige has hidden someone at the border.”
“…”
Olivia knelt on the ground. Hearing this, she felt extremely weak. She propped herself up with her hands, lowered her head, her eyes wide open, and her breathing was shaky.
Sure enough.
Young master is young master. How could someone who could step on his own father and take the top seat at the Gustin Group not be able to tell that Gabriel is his son!
“I also knew that it wouldn’t be a man,” Enrico added.
When he heard it from the little spy, he was jealous and angry.
But after stepping into this small building, he understood that Paige could not betray him.
She must be hiding someone else.
“Huh?” Olivia looked up blankly, looking at the man towering in front of her with confusion.
Does this mean he knows or doesn’t know?
My lady, how can she answer this?
“You’ve been by Paige’s side for so long, you can’t not know.”
Enrico looked at her, a wicked gleam in his eyes, ‘You’d better confess voluntarily, don’t make me torture a middle-aged woman.’
“…” Olivia knelt on the ground, staring at him blankly.
Should she tell him or continue to hide it for Paige?
No one had told her in advance.
Olivia was hesitating when suddenly there was a barking sound outside.
“Woof woof woof woof woof woof…”
It was barking very happily.
Enrico looked up with a cold face and saw the long-haired terrier barking wildly behind the car while sniffing.
I don’t know what smell it caught, but the terrier barked more and more happily, spinning around the back of the car.
Suddenly, it raised its front paws and lunged at the car door.
Oh no!
It scratched the paintwork and I’ll have to pay for the damage.
Enrico’s face fell. He immediately stood up from his chair, lifted his leg and walked out.
Olivia knelt on the ground and turned around, once again wondering, “Isn’t Gabriel with young master? Then why is only young master here? Where is Gabriel?”
Enrico strode up to the car and kicked the little dolphin away with one foot.
“Oww…” The little dolphin rolled to the side and looked at him with a pout.
Enrico looked down at the paint on the car. Fortunately, it wasn’t damaged.
But really, his woman had driven him to the point of robbing a child’s money and worrying about car paint.
Enrico straightened up and glanced into the car, only to see that it was empty and there was no trace of the little spy.
“…”
Enrico’s eyes darkened completely, and suddenly he pulled open the car door and looked inside.
It was empty.
He looked to the sides. The road was relatively quiet, and there was not even a car in sight, let alone a person.
The little spy kept saying that he wanted to follow him, but why had he suddenly run away? Was he going to go and tell Kevin, or had he run back to the hotel? It would be best if he had been abducted by human traffickers!
Enrico thought viciously.
Olivia had already followed him out, and he asked with a pale face, “When I was just going upstairs, did you see a child this tall?”
“A child?”
Olivia was shocked when she saw the height he was pointing to with his hand. She poked her head into the car behind him and looked, but there was no sign of a child.
Gabriel has disappeared again?
There were so many cars on the road, and so many bad people…
Olivia was scared to death just thinking about it, and her face turned pale.
“Oh my God…”
Olivia couldn’t bear the thought of the child disappearing twice. She let out a cry and collapsed, losing consciousness and fainting.
“Bang.”
As soon as she fell, the ground stirred up a cloud of dust.
“…”
Enrico stood in front of the car, looking at the cloud of dust, his handsome face completely frozen.
Sigh.
He hasn’t even asked any questions yet, and he’s already lost one and made one faint!
Enrico stared at the person on the ground for a long time before walking over and yanking Olivia up from the ground, dragging her and throwing her into the car, slamming the door shut.
And here he is, playing the good guy.
Paige, you better be worth all this trouble to get me to the border.
Enrico licked his back molars and walked to the driver’s seat with a dark face, driving away.
…
Night fell.
The hospital corridor was long and silent, white and dazzling.
A sound of neat footsteps came.
Enrico leans his back against the wall, one hand in his trouser pocket, a cigarette clenched between his teeth.
Hearing the sound, he turns his expressionless head.
A team of uniformed bodyguards strides through the door, Kevin, dressed in a smart suit, striding last, followed respectfully by a doctor, who briefs him on Olivia’s condition, “Mr. Kevin, don’t worry, the patient is only suffering from shock, she’ll wake up after a good night’s sleep.”
“Okay,” Kevin nodded, looked up at Enrico, and walked towards him.
For some reason, Enrico at the moment looked quite disheveled.
Kevin stood in front of Enrico, suppressed a smile, and said, ‘I heard that you took out all the money you had, but you could only get Olivia an appointment and a film?’
“…”
Enrico leaned against the wall and bit hard on his cigarette holder, the eyes under his sword brows showing hostility.
Kevin took another look at the clothes he was wearing and saw that Enrico’s shirt was a little wrinkled. He couldn’t help but clench his fist in his hand and cover it in front of his lips, and let out a light laugh, “Mr. Gustin, your clothes… you still wash them yourself, don’t you?”
The number one chaebol in Country A is really virtuous.
Upon hearing this, Enrico tilted his head, reached out to take the cigarette out of his mouth, and slowly exhaled a wisp of smoke between his thin lips.
The next second, he stood up straight, lifted his leg and kicked Kevin.
Kevin was kicked straight in the stomach, and the whole person fell backwards, supported by the bodyguard next to him.
The bodyguard in front of him immediately attacked Enrico with a clenched fist. Enrico turned his head to the side to avoid it, grabbed the other person’s hand and fiercely bent it.
Another bodyguard attacked, and Enrico grabbed the back of the other person’s neck and slammed him hard against the wall.
He smashed his head against the wall until his head was bleeding.
His actions can be described in one word: murderous.
Instantly, two of the bodyguards collapsed.
