“So, the one with you at the restaurant that time, was your boyfriend, huh?” Hannah asked Ashley. Currently they are having lunch, before the next class start.
“Hm… He’s my fiance, actually.” Ashley said shyly. She showed her the beautiful diamond ring on her ring finger. Ashley is indeed proud and very happy that her and Sirius’s status is starting to go deeper. But she’s still too shy to reveal it.
“Ah! You guys are engaged?! Wow! Congratulations!” Hannah’s eyes sparkled and she smiled sweetly making Ashley nod and blush.
“I’m so jealous… I wish I were you..” Hannah stared at the diamond ring and for a moment seemed to want to touch it, but she pulled her hand back. Ashley didn’t catch that reaction.
“You have a boyfriend, and you are jealous? What about us?” Jean pouted as she poked at her food making Ashley laugh.
“Yeah… What about me who was left by the traitor?” Misya chuckled. She has now slowly moved on and doesn’t think about her jerk ex anymore.
“You’ll find your happiness too, it’s just that, it’s not the time yet.” Ashley smiled at all her friends. “I pray that we will all find our own happiness at the right time.” Ashley prayed sincerely which was immediately agreed by all her friends.
“Right, thanks for the wishes, Ash my dear ..” Siska cupped her hands in front of her chest.
They are very happy to get good wishes from beautiful girl and that has lots of luck. Ashley’s friends had thought, if Ashley, in her past life was a hero. Therefore she got all the luck that other people wanted in this world.
“Yeah, I really hope we get the best thing that makes us happy…” Hannah smiled, but Ashley saw the sad look on her face. It was then Ashley realized that Jack was not with them. “Where’s Jack?” She asked.
“He’s on family business and will be leaving in a few days…” Hannah replied as she ate her food. The others nodded in understanding, including Ashley.
Now they are getting to know each other. Jack and Hannah happen to be taking the same class as Ashley and the others. Makes them become closer because they often do assignments together and sometimes go out together.
Hannah suddenly became excited and conveyed her idea to Ashley.
“Ash, what do you think if we have a double date?” Hearing that, they all turned to Hannah. Especially Jean, Siska, and Misya who looked at her like they couldn’t believe it.
Which human being in this world would want to double date with Mr. Sirius?
“Eh, Hehe.. I just thought it would be fun. I’ve seen you and your fiance, you guys look very affectionate and he looks pleasant…” Hanna rubbed her neck and smiled awkwardly, embarrassed by their stares at her.
The eyes of the three women, except Ashley, bulged when they heard Hannah mention that Mr. Sirius was a pleasant person. Did she just see the wrong person? Was Ashley having an affair at the time and not with Mr. Sirius?
But the innocent Ashley of course took Hannah’s statement for granted. Because according to Ashley, her Bubba is a lovely guy, who is always caring and gentle to her, spoiled her with whatever he might. She had forgotten the impact that Sirius had on others by his aura that intimidated everyone.
“Wow… looks like that would be fun! I’ll tell Bubba!” Ashley said excitedly making Hannah nodded happily, while the other three just grimaced.
The reason was because they couldn’t attend the date that seemed like fun. Another reason was because they couldn’t imagine a double date with Mr. Sirius. They prayed that Hannah and Jack would be fine after that.
“How about the day after tomorrow? Coincidentally, it’s weekend…” Hannah started to make plans. “I’m going to tell Jack… he’ll be thrilled.” She added.
“Hmmm.. It seems like we can’t until the next week. Bubba is away due to overseas business.” Ashley starts to frown remembering her Bubba who left her for quite a while. Of course Sirius had persuaded Ashley to come along, but the stubborn girl didn’t want to leave her lectures even for a moment.
“Aah… Then we’ll reschedule later.” Hannah nodded in understanding. Ashley nodded in agreement and couldn’t wait to tell Sirius about this.
The following days, Ashley lived with a sense of loneliness. It was lonely because Sirius had not yet returned from his business overseas. He felt somewhat regretful for refusing Sirius’s invitation at that time. It’s just that she doesn’t want her attendance in certain courses to be reduced.
Even so, as usual, the two of them kept in touch with each other. If Sirius wasn’t too busy at night, he would video call Ashley and keep her company until she fell asleep.
She couldn’t wait to finish her studies. They had promised each other that when she graduated from college they would be married. She is passionate about quickly completing her education and getting the job of her dreams. That way she could be a good wife to Bubba.
She felt that lately everything was going smoothly. The days passed well and happily, although sometimes Sirius had to go for days on business. But she could forget that feeling of loneliness for a moment because of her friends who always accompanied and invited her to go for a hang out after completing the task.
But, Ashley didn’t notice. A small mistake that she didn’t realize she was doing, would cause great harm that she didn’t expect at all.
Today, Ashley was planning to shop for some ingredients for cake. She was going to make a special cake for Sirius, who would be home in two days. She and some of her bodyguards went to supermarket for some cake ingredients
Actually, this kind of shopping is usually done by the servants in the mansion. However, this time Ashley wanted to do it herself because she was also bored in the mansion.
Arriving at the supermarket, she immediately walked here and there looking for the ingredients she wanted. Sh also asked one of the employee, if there was anything she couldn’t find.
“Ah, I think we have some new stocks coming in. What do you want? There’s only one left on this shelf and it’s almost expired.” The woman said kindly.
Ashley smiled sweetly and nodded. “Yeah, can you get it for me?” she asked politely.
The woman nodded, “We also have the latest baking tools, but there are still some that haven’t been put on display. Do you want to see those? I’ll get some stock as well…” The woman offered to Ashley excitedly.
The innocent Ashley immediately agreed and left with the woman. She didn’t forget to tell one of her bodyguards. “I’ll be going with her for a bit.” She said, pointing to the woman who walked in front of her.
Ashley’s bodyguard saw that the woman was quite old and not suspicious.
She turned her head smiling back waiting for Ashley to follow her. “I’m so happy to see a beautiful young girl like you still want to make her own cake. Currently there are many cafes that sell delicious and beautiful cakes. Makes a lot of people lazy to make their own at home.” Said the woman while walking side by side with Ashley.
The two of them chatted casually until they arrived at the warehouse door to stock up on goods.
The woman smiled and said, “I’m sorry, but it’s a bit cramped inside, so is it okay if it’s just the two of us in? Oh, Otherwise, Miss just wait here I’ll take them all here…” She continued.
Ashley who saw the kind woman couldn’t bear it if she bothered her.
“I’ll just come in, it’s okay .. You guys just wait a minute. I took the things for a while then came back here.” Ashley said to her two bodyguards. They nodded in agreement after taking a brief look inside the warehouse.
Another big mistake they made was following Ashley’s request. Because even after fifteen minutes later, both of them hadn’t come out of there.
