Felix’s p. o. v
I stood outside the house waiting for Ian to pick up the call.
“Felix.” He answered calmly.
“I need your help.” I said without hesitation.
Ever since going through so much hardship and memories together, Ian was now my best friend. Although I had pride in most cases, he was the closest person I could talk to.
“What’s wrong?” He asked in concern.
“My parents, they are dead.” I answered sadly.
The line went quiet for a few seconds.
“My condolences.” He whispered.
“Yeah thanks.” I said as I moved away from the house.
“I want to look into the eyes of the one that killed them. So I’m leaving town tomorrow.” I said then continued talking.
“If you would like to come along I would really appreciate it, because your help will be highly needed.”
“Mmm, Felix you know how much I hate your kind right?” He asked.
“Yes.” I answered in a low tone.
“So count me in, I would like to break a bone or two in them.” He said.
I thought he wouldn’t want to go because of that very reason!.
“I’ll be at your place early in the morning. I also think you should inform Leo over this matter.” He said.
“I will, thanks man.” I answered.
“No problem Samantha. I’ll call you tomorrow when I reach your town.” He said then disconnected the call.
I smiled and dialed Uncle’s line, which he immediately answered.
“Felix.” His voice came through.
“They are dead.” I said calmly.
“Who!” He exclaimed.
“My parents.” I answered.
“Oh, those garbage.” He whispered.
“Yes. Apparently they were killed by an elder.” I said as he burst out in laughter.
“Them killed!. Which Moran told you this?” He asked seriously.
“A vampire lady that came to meet me.” I answered.
“Samantha, don’t tell me you believed her.” He said.
He was right, the lady could be lying, but what could be her motive too?.
“Well she sounded very convincing with her words.” I answered honestly.
“Samantha listen to yourself for once!. How can she come all the way to tell you that?. What’s in for her?. Are you giving her some sort of blood bank or hospital?. Because there is no damn way she’s after your money or riches because the coven is filthy rich.” He spat.
“She said she was in love with me.” I answered feeling dumb.
“What the hell!. That should be enough not to even believe her. How could a stranger fall in love with you?. Felix, you have never seen her before and she has never seen you too yet she claims such crap. There is no way she could have fallen in love with just hearing about you from others, that’s fucking obsession. If you ask me, I’ll tell you that it’s a clear trap she has set up for you. So kill her already and forget about everything.” He said.
“But…. what if she’s telling the truth?” I asked seriously.
“She’s not Felix, she can’t be. Your parents are very powerful strong elders of the coven, who can’t easily be killed. If someone could easily kill them it should be you. I can’t believe that some lame ass elder would easily take down two of the strongest vampires in the coven, it doesn’t work like that. My guess is that your parents can’t come into town to drag you back easily, so they want you to go there by yourself.” He answered.
I hated his words but they were so damn reasonable and on point.
“So are you suggesting I just kill her and not go that side?” I asked.
“Exactly Samantha, just kill her. Don’t forget some vampires have high manipulation unlike the rest. They can say something and sound so convincing, when in truth they are manipulating you.” He answered.
“Look Samantha, you can either go that side and face everyone once and for all or you can just ignore your parents until one day they finally die. The choice is all yours.” He said.
I kept quiet thinking over everything.
If my parents really sent her to deceive me, then they weren’t going to stop or back out easily. They would send more people where I was and that would put Chase and the rest in danger.
I needed to see them to set everything straight. Trap or not, I was still stronger and smarter than them.
“I am leaving for the coven tomorrow.” I answered.
“Damn it.” He muttered.
“I really have to settle everything with them once and for all. I can’t run away from them because they will never stop coming after me or sending people.” I said seriously.
“Right now I am at the cottages, I came yesterday to enjoy my intimate time with my mate.” He said as I smiled happily.
“That’s great.” I answered.
“I planned on staying a little longer here but sadly I can’t.” He said.
“Why?” I asked.
“Because there is just no way I’m letting you go alone on that side. Remember that I’m still a part of your family.” He answered.
“Uncle. Thank you.” I said honestly.
“I suggest you call Ian to join us. Let’s take a trip of three, for fun.” He said as I chuckled softly.
“It’s funny because he also told me to inform you about this.” I answered.
“That’s because great minds think alike.” He said.
“You are right.” I answered, then turned and looked at my house.
“Uncle, I never want any harm to come to the people I care about.” I whispered softly.
“I know, that’s why we will go that side and make sure it never does.” He answered.
“Thank you.” I said then disconnected the call.
“Felix.” Lee called from behind.
I quickly turned and faced him. He stood a few meters away from me with grocery bags in his hands.
“Hey.” I greeted him then moved closer.
“Were you that distracted not to sense my presence?” He asked.
“Yeah.” I answered honestly.
“Mm, what were you doing there?” He asked seriously.
“Nothing.” I answered then walked past him.
“I heard it all.” He said, making me halt my movements.
“Please, don’t tell Chase.” I whispered.
“Why, he deserves to know.” He answered.
“No he doesn’t. Going that side with him will only make me worry. Moreover he would turn into a snack there.” I said.
“Fine, then if you won’t go with him, go with me.” He said.
I turned and looked at him with a smile.
“Sure. But just know there will be bloodshed.” I answered.
“Cool” He said proudly.
