“Any news from Ian?” Lee asked in the living room.
I kept quiet ignoring him as I looked at my phone seriously.
“Felix!” He exclaimed loudly.
I looked at him for a second then went back to looking at my phone again.
“What’s the matter with you?. For the past week you have been acting strange.” He said.
I stood up and walked out of the room without a word, going into my bedroom.
Last week I received a text on my phone from an unknown number.
To a normal human being and some other supernatural beings, it would look like an irrelevant text with jumbled words and letters when it was a serious message directed to me in vampire code.
It read. “Next week saturday. Alley. 9 pm. Samantha Vyklin.” Whoever it was made sure to let me know that they knew me so damn well.
I couldn’t stop thinking about who it could be.
My parents wouldn’t be the ones who had sent the text, because they had no idea where I was or what my phone number was. Whoever it was was, they were definitely part of the coven because they were the only ones who knew my last name.
“Felix.” Chase called behind.
I quickly turned and looked at him.
“When did you come In?” I asked seriously.
“A few minutes ago.” He answered.
Damn it. I was too distracted to even notice his presence.
“Samantha, are you okay?” He asked.
“Yes.” I answered quickly then went to the wardrobe and pulled out a leather jacket.
“Why are you lying to me?” He asked.
I looked at him while wearing the jacket.
I didn’t want him to be involved because It could get dangerous.
“I’m not lying to you.” I answered then walked out of the room.
I went outside the house and got into my car looking at my watch.
It was 8 pm and the Alley wasn’t that far.
I started the car and drove there while making sure no one was tailing me.
Once I was there. I parked my car on the side and played the radio.
A few hookers were ahead trying to talk to some men who were walking by. They all looked messed up and high on shit.
A tap on my window got my attention.
I rolled down my window and looked at the woman standing there.
The slim lady stood with a smile on her face. She was wearing a mini skirt and a crop top. Her curly blond hair was let down and her face was painted with thick make up. She had a small hand bag in her hand and wore high heels.
I could tell she was a vampire because I could distinguish between my own kind and other supernatural beings easily. Her aura was weak and that only indicated that she had not lived long enough. Those that lived a long time, say for a lot of years, were very strong and their abilities were heightened. I could also smell the scent of gun power coming from her bag.
“Hey handsome.” She greeted me seductively.
I grabbed a packet of cigarettes and a lighter from my jeans pocket without a word and lit my cigarette.
“Handsome?” She called in a whisper.
I inhaled the smoke deeply and chuckled softly.
It was no coincidence that she was here. It was well too planned to be a mere confidence.
“I’m female.” I answered as I breathed out the smoke.
“What!” She exclaimed in a surprised tone.
I turned and faced her seriously.
“I said I’m female. Do you smoke?” I asked seriously.
“No, I prefer drinking.” She answered.
I looked at my wrist watch then at her.
“Okay, can we cut this little fake play and be real. Who sent you?” I asked seriously.
“I don’t know what you are talking about.” She answered.
“If you don’t, then fuck off because I’m waiting for someone.” I said.
She looked around then leaned in.
“How about I get into the car with you?” She asked.
“No, how about you fuck off.” I spat then began to roll the window up.
She pressed her hand on top of it, stopping me.
“Please.” She whispered.
“I knew it, I shouldn’t have come to such a place to begin with.” I whispered softly then started the car.
“Wait, please wait.” She said loudly.
I ignored her and reversed my car.
“Samantha!” She screamed, making me step on the brakes.
So she was the one who I was looking forward to meeting.
I came out of the car and walked to where she was, standing in front of her seriously.
“Spill.” I ordered.
“At least allow me to sit in your car. If I was that dangerous I could have tried something a long time ago.” She said, making me laugh.
“You wouldn’t have tried shit because you are so below me. We might be the same kind but your strength and abilities are pure crap. I can sense them. For someone who hasn’t even lived long enough you dare summon a pure breed for your own show?. Are you that curious to see what I can do to you?. Don’t you know that I can gladly feed on you or kill you in a second before you can even pull out that gun from your bag?” I asked angrily.
She tensed and kept quiet.
“Since I have satisfied your curiosity I’ll leave. Next time you try to summon me for stupid reasons, I’ll end you!” I spat then turned to walk away.
“Your parents were found dead two days ago in their mansion!” She said loudly.
“And this gun isn’t meant for you, it’s meant for other vampires who have been following me. The elders know that I came here looking for you to tell you the truth, that’s why they sent a few of them after me. I know this gun can’t kill them but it can at least slow them down if I aim for their heart.” She said seriously.
I turned and walked back to her, grabbing her by the neck.
“Are you desperate to die!. Did my parents ask you to lie to me?” I asked then threw her on the ground furiously.
She coughed and got to her feet extending her hand towards me.
“Here, feed on me. I have heard from the elders how pure breeds have the ability to access one’s memory whenever they suck their blood.” She answered.
It’s true that I had such an ability but I chose to never use it again. Because once I tried it, I ended up learning someone’s hidden secret. I cared so much about her that her secret ended up hurting me badly.
“Fine. Get into the car.” I ordered.
She quickly moved and got into the car.
I too went and got in.
“If I find out that you are lying to me, I will kill you.” I whispered after starting the car.
“I know.” She responded.

I had so much to ask her, like how did she find me?. Why was she sacrificing herself to tell me this?. Who was she and who she was sired by?. Why was she dressed like a hooker and why did she choose to meet in the Alley?.
A lot of questions went through my mind but I was going to be patient with her because either way I was going to get the truth out of her.
