I reached the door to Blade’s house and took in a deep breath then released it.
Although he had asked me to stay with him and usually pointed out that it was now our home, I felt uncomfortable.
I touched the door knob and turned it with a forced smile on my face.
“I’m home.” I said when I moved in.
“I’m in the living room.” His voice came through.
“Coming.” I answered then pressed on the side of the wheelchair as it moved.
I frowned when I picked up two strong different scents.
Immediately I moved into the living room, the two men who were sitting stood up.
My wolf instantly acknowledged them and I tried to move to show my respect when Blade ran to my side screaming “No!”
He knelt down in front of me trying to stop me.
“Please step aside, I have to greet the Alpha and Beta.” I pleaded.
He moved his hands to my cheeks and made me look at him.
“Calm down okay.” He whispered softly as I slowly did.
My wolf wasn’t okay with us not paying our respect and I too felt the same.
If not for my legs being like that, I would have stood up quickly.
When he dropped his hands and stood up, I bowed sadly.
“Kylie right?” The Alpha asked.
“Yes Alpha.” I answered.
“Look up.” He ordered.
I quickly did and faced him.
“I understand that you weren’t ready to meet the Alpha and Beta of the pack, that’s why we have come here as we are.” He said, confusing me.
What was he saying when they were the Alpha and Beta of our pack.
He took a few steps closer and extended his hand.
“Hi, I’m Ian, Blade’s close friend. Behind me is Neo, my brother. He is also his close friend.” He said as I looked at his hand then at him.
Was he implying I should overlook their status and treat them as friends.
“Please.” He said then moved his hand.
I slowly moved mine and shook it.
“It’s good to finally meet you.” He said when I dropped my hand.
“Likewise Alpha.” I answered.
“Um, I’ll say this again so please do understand. We are standing before you without rank, so don’t refer to us with it.” He said then moved to Blade patting his head.
“We met this asshole in our teens, can you believe that he tried to pick a fight with me?” He asked as I widened my eyes in disbelief.
How could he, when he was just a Delta facing an Alpha.
“That same stupid courage is what Ian admired.” Beta Neo said then moved closer and knelt down on one knee in front of me.
“From then on, we became as close as brothers. We shared a lot of things too, including her.” He said softly.
I understood what he meant because we all knew how they shared the previous Luna.
“We knew he was definitely hiding something today because he was acting differently. Forgive me because he only told us about you when I made him too.” Alpha Ian said.
“And through his story we understood that you didn’t want to meet us.” Beta Neo said softly.
“I’m sorry.” I apologized in a respectful tone.
I didn’t want to meet them because I was very scared and insecure. What if they thought of me as a weakling who didn’t deserve to be their Delta’s partner?.
“It’s okay because we left the Beta and Alpha behind. Right now you are looking at just his close friends who are very happy to finally meet you.” He said then stood up as I felt emotions overwhelm me.
“As for what Alpha Ian would do upon meeting you. He and his mate would both be happy and welcome you wholeheartedly. He would also be amazed over how hard working you are despite facing a lot of challenges.” He said.
“And his Beta would tell you there isn’t anyone more suitable for their Delta than you.” Beta Neo said as tears ran down my cheeks.
Blade moved quickly and stood in front of me, leaning in and wrapping his arms around me.
It felt so unreal having the Alpha and Beta say all that to me. They were acknowledging and praising me for standing strong through all my hardship. Not only was I blessed with a good mate, the goddess was kind enough to give us understanding leaders.
I pulled back and looked at the both of them with a smile.
“Ian and Neo. Thank you so much for paying us a visit. I’m so happy to finally meet my mates friends.” I said in a cracked voice then wiped off my tears.
“Also do me a favor. When you go back, please tell the Alpha and Beta that I would be honoured to finally meet them as well.” I said as they looked at each other and smiled.
“Tomorrow the twin warriors will be leaving the pack with their mate. The Luna wants to cook something nice for them so we could eat as a family. If it’s okay with you, would you care to join us?” Alpha Ian asked.
“Of course, I would be delighted to.” I answered.
“Perfect.” Beta Neo said then hit his chest lightly.
“With that said, we will take our leave. I’m sure you are tired and you need some rest.” He said then looked at Blade.
“Take good care of her.” He whispered softly.
“Of course.” He answered.
Alpha Ian chuckled softly then nodded at me as I bared my neck in respect.
“See you tomorrow.” He said, then walked out of the room with Neo behind him.
“Give me a second.” Blade said and went after them.
I sat there feeling relieved, happy and very good. It was like a heavy burden was lifted from my shoulders.
“They have gone.” Blade said when he walked into the room.
“Hey dear.” I called softly.
He moved and knelt in front of me.
“Are you mad at me?” He asked in a low tone as I shook my head.
“No. I just want to say that I love you.” I whispered softly.
He smiled then leaned in and kissed my lips gently.
“I love you too.” He whispered back.
