“Banish the bitch!”
“So ungrateful, kill her already.”
“Allow us to stone her!”
The angry screams of the pack members filled the air.
They were glaring at me while some were looking at me furiously. They all wanted me dead as soon as possible.
I sat on the ground powerlessly near the pack’s border waiting for Ian to give his final order. My throat was dry and my body was still sore and bruised.
After that chat I had with Neo, the guards were no longer harsh to me. Despite them not giving me food to eat, they gave me water to drink and quickly left the room once they were done with checking up on me.
I was grateful to Neo and at the same time angry at myself for going against him.
Being in that place gave me enough time to think through everything.
I was the problem in everyone’s life!. That wasn’t hard to understand. Not only was I very selfish, I was hungry for more power than I already had.
In the past there was a time I was very happy being besides my mate, all I could think of was him and us. I even went as far as day dreaming how it would be if I was to bear him pups. But then everything changed suddenly.
I began hating how Ian was above us all.
He would look down on most people and even I his Luna at times. He gave orders that angered and disgusted me a few times. I wanted to be the one to grasp such power and I was willing to use my mate.
Looking back now, my plans and sacrifices were all in vain. If I had chosen or taken another path, things wouldn’t have ended in such a way.
By now I would have been mated to Neo and living a happy life. We would have had our own pups and a beautiful home just for our family. My wolf would be alive and right next to her mate as well.
The sad thoughts were eating me up slowly and I couldn’t stop the tears from falling.
“Alpha, how about we follow what the pack members are saying?” Blade asked calmly behind Ian.
I looked at him with blurry eyes not believing his words.
How dare he say such words right in front of my eyes!. Wasn’t he not the male I serviced with outermost respect and care besides Neo?. How could he speak like that and wish for my quick death!.
“The crimes she had committed were all laid down and judged by the Beta and I. As angry as you all are, we can’t take your words into consideration.” Ian said then looked at me coldly making me lower my gaze to the ground.
“Before she became a crazed psycho bitch for power, she was our friend, family and Luna who helped our pack grow. As much as I want to overlook that I can’t, so I agreed to grant her banishment rather than death.” He said as everyone went quiet.
“The Alpha is right.” A female whispered softly while the others agreed with her in low voices.
“So Sherry, because of being a part of our pack’s prosperity, I am going to allow you to say a few words of your own.” He said strongly.
I slowly raised my head and looked at Neo pleadingly. He looked different and in his eyes I saw only anger and disgust. His hair was back to its original color and that itself said a lot. He was getting rid of his attachment to me and starting over.
“Neo.” I called in a husky voice.
A she-wolf next to him quickly moved closer and linked her hand to his.
He glanced at her with a warm expression on his face then smiled at her.
“I’m okay.” He whispered softly assuring her.
The female nodded then leaned against his shoulder with a low sigh.
So that’s how it was. He was already moving on with another female.
I sniffed and tried to control my trembling body as I sobbed. The bond was already broken yet I still felt my heart ache badly at the sight of him being so affectionate to her.
“Sherry.” Ian called, this time in a loud growl.
I looked at him for a second then back at Neo.
“I still want to be next to my mate Alpha because I still love him. I acknowledge how stupid I was to want power when I already had the best thing next to me, my mate. Please give me a last chance and I promise I will make everything right. I will love him wholeheartedly and respect you with my very being. If you don’t believe me you can make me a branded slave or offer me to your warriors as their hoe, just let me be next to my mate please. I am begging you in the name of the moon goddess. Show Mercy.” I cried out then flinched.
Neo’s expression was murderous and his eyes were that of Vision.
“Alpha, if you want this bitch now, I will end up killing her.” He growled furiously, shocking me.
I knew Vision hated me more than Neo since that day I turned against them, but I had no idea he wanted me dead. I was sure he could hear how sincere I was. Why was he saying such harsh words to me?
“Beta, please give me a last chance. I swear I won’t speak back or do anything bad again. I will treat you right.” I begged loudly.
He let go of the she-wolf’s hand and walked to where I was.
When he stood in front of me I smiled in relief.
“I knew you could never abandon me. You truly loved me more than… ahh.” I screamed in pain and fell to the ground with my hands covering my eyes.
My eyes were in pain and the burning sensation was too much as I rolled on the ground screaming loudly.
“You don’t deserve to see.” He said with detest.
I quickly dropped my hands but saw nothing. I was welcomed by intense pain and darkness.
“No, my eyes!. My eyes!” I cried out.
“Alpha please proceed with the banishment.” Vision said seriously.
“No, please stop!. I can’t see.” I screamed.
“I, Ian, Alpha of this pack sheltered you and took you as one of us. But today, in the name of the goddess as well as the blood shed upon this land, I hereby banish you Sherry from this pack.” He said in a command.
My breath hitched and my stomach churned. My strength left my body and my hearing dimmed.
I could only plead in a hoarse whisper as I felt two males grab my arms each side and drag me.
“Make sure she never returns,” Vision commanded as the pack members’ voices went down with each distance I covered.
