Neo’s p. o. v
How long were they going to guard my door? It’s not like I was going to run away or betray Ian again.
My heart was completely shuttered and I had no strength to fight or speak back at him. Moreover, I knew and understood how I had killed his trust in me.
Our friendship was now dead and my position was going to be taken away from me.
I sighed softly then sat upright on the bed.
“Logan!” I called loudly.
When the door opened I tensed. Ian walked in with a glare on his face, his hands were clenched and his pheromones were threatening.
I quickly stood up from the bed and bore my neck in respect.
He closed the door behind him and moved standing in front of me.
When a minute went by without a word, I slowly looked up and met his eyes.
His eyes were switching between that of his wolf and his own and that made me quickly take a step back. He was beyond angry with me, that I could tell.
“You betrayed me and Axel.” He whispered.
“Yet here you are still alive and breathing well while you wanted us dead.” He continued.
“What? No, I didn’t want you dead Ian, there was never a day that I did. When Sherry drugged you with Otis I knew I couldn’t help you no matter what I did, your life was already in the hands of the goddess.” I said loudly.
He rubbed his hand against his eyes and sighed loudly.
“Is that your best excuse?” He asked in a low tone then dropped his hand.
Vision was angry with his words that he took partial control.
“No.” We responded together.
He raised a brow then took a step closer and looked at me seriously.
I was completely intimidated and somehow afraid.
“There are a lot of things I want you to go through, that includes pain, starvation, wolfbane, silver chai….”
“Do it all alpha, Vision and I are willing to go through any kind of punishment if it means you forgiving us. We can also consume an overdose of Otis.” I said honestly cutting him off as I felt Vision softly huff in response.
His facial expression changed, he was conflicted in doing just that and letting my words slide. I grew up with him so I knew him best.
“I would love that too Beta, but it seems the goddess is surely on your side because she wouldn’t let me be at peace if I did that.” He answered, confusing me.
“The goddess would let you kill me because I too left you to die in that basement.” I said.
“Oh no, you seem not to understand. The goddess would, but that woman wouldn’t, she would cry and make me feel at fault, guilty, and never let me be at peace.” He answered.
What the hell was he talking about?
“Forgive me alpha, but I don’t understand what you are saying right now.” I said honestly.
“I’m talking about your mother.” He answered simply.
I kept quiet for a second then sighed softly.
“I know you are upset with me, but you going as far as to bring my dead mother in our conversation is a little too much and very sad.” I said seriously.
“Dead? That was highly exaggerated Neo because it turns out she’s alive.” He answered as my heart picked up.
“What are you talking about Alpha? Because my birth mother died a long time ago.” I said loudly.
“That was a lie told to you by my father, or should I say our father?” He asked.
I kept quiet for a minute then slowly lifted a finger and pointed to the door.
“This is as far as you get Ian, see yourself out of this fucking room.” I spat angrily.
I didn’t care if he was going to hit or injure me over my words, but I wasn’t going to sit here and watch him say shit about my dead mother and our former alpha.
“I’ll say this because I feel sad for you fucker, so listen very carefully. It turns out my father the alpha is also your biological father who fed us lies over our birth and how our mother had died. If you think I’m lying, how about asking your so-called other half Vision?” He said.
My throat was dry and I was beginning to feel hot.
“Vision, what is this I’m hearing right now?” I asked softly and waited for his clarification. I was sure it was all a lie that Ian had made up to make me feel horrible.
“I am asking you a question, damn it!” I spat silently.
“What? He isn’t replying right?, That’s because he knows I’m telling the truth. Do you think I could plot revenge in such a childish way? If I wanted you dead or hurt I could use other ways and methods.” He said as I folded my hands in fists.
“So what if you are right, does having the same father as you change anything?” I asked sarcastically.
“No, it changes nothing because I’m still the first born and an Alpha who is above you.” He answered proudly.
“I get it, is there anything else you want to say to me alpha? if not then please see yourself out.” I spat.
He shook his head slightly then took in a deep breath and released it.
“I’m leaving alright, but before that, I will let you in on another secret. Turns out our mother is in this pack, don’t you want to know who she is?” He asked playfully.
He really was aiming for my breakdown. I didn’t want to let him win by making me feel this bad, but I also wanted to know who she really was.
“W…. who is she?” I asked in a low cracked voice.
“Nana.” He answered, then walked to the door and opened it.
“So brother, think clearly and openly what you want to do next.” He said through our mind link then walked out.
My knees gave out as I fell to the ground powerlessly.
Nana was my birth mother! No way, no way.
She was always very close to us yet she couldn’t come clean and tell us the truth!
No, it was all a lie! It was definitely a lie made by Ian.
Ian wasn’t my brother and the late alpha wasn’t my father.
It was all a fucking lie.
“Truth.” Vision whispered as I angrily stood and walked to the wall crawling it.
I moved and lifted the bed, flipping it in anger as I growled out in frustration and pain!.
