Boyfriend?
This time around, Rosiley and the other three men were not the only ones who were shocked. Ripples even crossed Corey’s calm, dark eyes.
Corey had not expected her to just announce their relationship. He was instantly dumbfounded, too.
After a long pause, Rosiley found her own voice. “Xiaoxiao, it’s not April Fool’s Day.”
Given their tendency to quarrel with each other, how could they possible date each other?
Stop teasing!
“It’s true.” Ying Xiaoxiao gave them a faint smile before walking over to Corey. She wrapped her arm around his intimately. “We only confirmed our feelings for each other today, and we decided to try and see if this works out.”
Then, she turned to look at Corey. With a charming smile, she asked him, “Corey, am I right?”
With the entire situation under her control, Corey could only nod his head. “Yes, that’s right.”
After that, he loosened his hand, which was covering Ling Yao’s mouth. When he regained freedom, he exclaimed immediately, “Holy shit! So she’s his girlfriend! I was still wondering why he was so nervous. Turns out, he was worried that his girlfriend would get bullied by other men.”
Corey glared at him with a cold expression. “If you don’t talk, no one will think that you’re mute.”
At Ling Yao’s words, something seemed to surge in Ying Xiaoxiao’s eyes. However, it calmed down again quickly.
“Congratulations, dude!” Chu Yuan got up, walked towards him, and gently pushed his fist against Corey’s chest. “You’ve indeed learned the best from your brother! You found a girlfriend so quickly!”
Corey laughed dryly. “What are you talking about?”
“I’m really envious of you guys.” Chu Yuan laughed heartily, and his probing gaze landed on Ying Xiaoxiao. “Ying Xiaoxiao? Are you Teddie Ying’s daughter?”
Ying Xiaoxiao raised her brows in surprise. “You know my father?”
Chu Yuan smiled. “We’ve crossed paths.”
Back then, Teddie Ying had still been the chief of a certain lowly government department in Jing City. And now, he had become a high-ranking official in Benin. It only took him a few years, which was very impressive.
“Teddie Ying’s daughter! Meeting you in person is so much better than just hearing about you!” Moorine Shen also got up and smiled gently at Xiaoxiao. “You’re much more beautiful than I imagined.”
“Thank you,” Ying Xiaoxiao said politely with a smile.
Obviously, they all believed that Corey and Xiaoxiao were dating. However, someone still did not believe them — Rosiley.
She looked at Corey and Xiaoxiao with a thoughtful gaze. Then, a deep, low voice rang in her ears.
“My lady, if you’re in doubt, why not just ask?”
Rosiley turned her head. “Sachin, you don’t believe them, either.”
Sachin chuckled slightly. “I know my younger brother very well. He is too playful. It would be impossible for him to settle his heart on a woman so soon.”
Hearing this, Rosiley could not sit still anymore. She stood up suddenly, walked around the coffee table to Ying Xiaoxiao. She grabbed her hand. “Xiaoxiao, come to the bathroom with me.”
While she spoke, she pulled Ying Xiaoxiao into the bathroom in the corner of the private room.
The respected men in the room looked helplessly at each other. Ling Yao’s mouth twitched slightly. “The sisters-in-law are so close, they even have to go to the bathroom together.”
When he heard Ling Yao call Ying Xiaoxiao a sister-in-law, Corey slapped his head immediately. “Don’t call her that. We’re not married yet.”
Although it did not hurt, Ling Yao still placed his hand on his forehead and retaliated angrily. “Who says I can’t call her that before you get married?”
“Me!” Corey squeezed the single word out of his mouth and glared fiercely at him. “If you let me hear you calling her sister-in-law again, I’ll make you… ”
“What will you do to me?” Ling Yao glared back without any sign of weakness.
Seeing the two of them at loggerheads, Sachin opened his mouth and said in an icy-cold tone, “Be quiet! You guys are not children anymore, yet you’re still as childish as a child!”
As soon as he spoke, Ling Yao and Corey shut their mouths obediently.
Moorine Shen and Chu Yuan could not hold back their laughter. Sachin was indeed the only one who could tame these two.
